The 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum (QOSM) is welcoming children and families this month with a vibrant programme of summer activities designed to combine sport, creativity, technology and reading in an engaging educational setting.

Running throughout the month, the initiative features a diverse line-up of interactive workshops and hands-on experiences aimed at nurturing creativity, developing new skills and encouraging family participation through learning by play.

The programme begins Wednesday with a “Wooden Bookmark Design” workshop, where children and their families will create personalised bookmarks inspired by their favourite athletes using wooden craft sticks.

Hosted in the museum's seventh-floor library from 10am to 11am, the activity encourages artistic expression while promoting a love of reading.

On August 12, the library will host a “Storytelling Challenge” from 10am to noon, inviting participants to collaborate on an evolving story inspired by a sequence of images displayed on screen.

The free session is designed to stimulate imagination, creativity and communication skills.

The museum is also continuing its popular 3-2-1 Fun City Summer Sports programme through August 29, offering daily morning and evening sessions featuring interactive sports activities, physical challenges and active learning experiences for children, young people and families.

Participation is free of charge.

Young visitors can also take part in the “Museum Explorer” programme, which continues Wednesday, and on August 10 and 12.

Using specially designed activity cards, participants explore the museum's galleries, investigate exhibits and answer themed questions before earning a “Museum Explorer” stamp upon completing the challenge.

No advance registration is required.

The summer programme concludes on August 26-27 with “Artificial Intelligence (AI) in 3-2-1: The Future of Play”, a two-day workshop for children aged 7-14, organised in collaboration with Studio 5, an initiative of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.

Through age-specific sessions, participants will discover the fundamentals of machine learning and programming.

Children aged 7-10 will explore Tracking Olympic Performance with AI, while those aged 11-14 will take part in Fitness Coach with AI, blending emerging technologies with sport and physical activity.

The organisers said that the summer programme is designed to provide an enjoyable learning environment where children develop creative, sporting and digital skills while strengthening family interaction through meaningful and engaging experiences during the school holidays.
