His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a succession of visiting heads of state, crown princes and senior dignitaries at Lusail Palace Tuesday, as the condolence calls following the death of His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani continued to draw in leaders from across the region and beyond. The steady procession of arrivals underscored the scale of the late Father Amir's standing on the world stage, with delegations arriving from the Gulf, the wider Arab world, South Asia and the South Caucasus over the course of the day.
Each reception followed a similar protocol, with the visiting leader received individually by the Amir before conveying condolences on behalf of their government and people. President Recep Tayyip Erdogan offered condolences on behalf of Turkiye in a visit that reflected the deep and long-standing ties between Doha and Ankara, both diplomatic and military.

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi also condoled the passing of HH the late Father Amir as he met HH the Amir, calling him a visionary leader.
