Germany has offered its deep condolences on the passing of His Highness the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
In a statement, Olaf Malchow, Chargé d’Affaires a.i at the embassy said “His Highness will be remembered as a visionary statesman whose leadership and dedication laid the foundations for Qatar's remarkable development and prosperity. He was also a steadfast friend of Germany and played an important role in strengthening the close and enduring partnership between our two countries.”
Malchow also extended his country’s deepest condolences to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to the Royal Family, to the Government and the people of Qatar stating “Our thoughts are with all those mourning this great loss.”
