HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani held a telephone conversation yesterday with UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan.
During the call, the prime minister reiterated Qatar’s condemnation of the attack on the UAE with three UAVs, one of which targeted the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in Al Dhafra region.
He stressed Qatar stands in full solidarity with the UAE in all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its facilities.
In addition, the PM underscored the importance of all parties engaging positively with the ongoing mediation efforts, which ultimately pave the way for addressing the root causes of the crisis through peaceful means and dialogue, culminating in reaching an enduring accord that prevents re-escalation.
Meanwhile, in a statement issued yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks marked a dangerous escalation through the targeting of vital facilities and civilian infrastructure.
The ministry stressed the need to spare the region the consequences of such unjustified attacks and to intensify efforts aimed at de-escalation.
