The Qatar Press Centre (QPC) is participating in the 35th Doha International Book Fair (DIBF) with a collection of intellectual, journalistic, and cultural publications documenting the history of Qatari media and commemorating prominent figures in journalism, literature, and heritage. The publications also address issues of society, thought, identity, and human consciousness.
Underscoring the vital role of the fair as a comprehensive cultural platform that contributes to stimulating intellectual discourse, supporting the publishing industry, and promoting the book as a means for enlightenment and raising awareness.

The Dean of Qatari Journalism by Zuhair Radwan Ghazal, Abdullah bin Yousef al-Husseini: A Pioneer of Magazine Publishing in Qatari Journalism by Ahmed Abdullatif.
Specters of a Pen by Dr Abdullah al-Emadi, A Lover of Words by Dr Ahmed Abdulmalik, Sunday Morning by media personality Mubarak Jaham al-Kuwari, in addition to “On the Edge of the East” by Sultan al-Jassim, and the books The World Cup Legacy: Images from the Heart of the Event and The World Cup Pen.
The book “Nasser Mohammed al-Othman: Dean of Qatari Journalism” celebrates the life of one of the most prominent pioneers of media and culture in Qatar, showcasing his contributions to establishing and developing the journalistic landscape, his career as editor-in-chief of the newspapers Al-Raya and Al-Sharq, his role in founding the Grand Mosque Radio in 1965, organising the first international book fair in Qatar in 1970, and his election as Secretary-General of the Gulf Press Union in 2005. It also highlights his receipt of numerous awards and honours in recognition of his contributions to media and culture.
Specters of a Pen by Dr Abdullah al-Emadi, published in November 2025, documents social, economic, and political issues that Qatar, the region, and the world have witnessed over thirty years. Through journalistic articles, it presents intellectual, political, and cultural disagreements with a profound analytical perspective, ranging from critiques of Islamophobia to discussions of political tyranny, media excesses, and contemporary intellectual transformations.
Hadeel Saber’s book, Tarweeda, addresses the Palestinian cause, particularly since October 7, 2023, through political and humanitarian articles that draw inspiration from the Palestinian Tarweeda as a symbol of resistance and the coded messages used by Palestinians during periods of occupation and imprisonment.
The book Abdullah bin Yousef Al-Husseini: A Pioneer of Magazine Production in Qatari Journalism documents the experiences of one of the pioneers
of independent journalism and the founding of the magazine Al-Ahd.
Detailing efforts to attract Qatari writers, poets, and media professionals, the book supported by rare photographs and documents chronicles a pivotal period in Qatari journalism.
