Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour (MoL), Sheikha Najwa bint Abdulrahman al-Thani, met with senior officials from Sweden’s labour sector during a visit aimed at enhancing bilateral co-operation and exchanging best practices in labour affairs.

The meetings included discussions with Secretary-General of the Swedish Parliament, Ingvar Mattson; members of the Parliament’s Committee on the Labour Market; Director-General of the Swedish Work Environment Authority, Lars Loow; and Director-General of the Medlingsinstitutet, Irene Wennemo.

The discussions focused on existing co-operation frameworks, strategies to improve the work environment, and ways to strengthen social protection systems for workers. Both sides explored mechanisms to deepen experience-sharing between Qatar and Sweden, especially in areas such as labour dispute resolution, occupational health and safety, and capacity building and training for labour sector professionals in Qatar.
