The Doha Metro has announced the extension of its Metrolink service M148 to the University of Doha or Science and Technology (UDST) campus from Wednesday, aimed at enhancing connectivity and convenience for students and faculty.
The extension of Line M148, presently serving Wadi Al Banat, to the UDST campus, is set to significantly reduce commuting times for a large number of students and staff members, while also easing congestion on the roads.
Metro passengers can anticipate a smoother mode of commuting to and from the UDST campus. As Qatar continues to invest in its public transportation infrastructure, the expansion of the Doha Metro and its services remains a cornerstone of the nation's vision for a more sustainable and interconnected future.
As part of its efforts to provide efficient and accessible public transportation, Metrolink also added the M129 route on August 6 to its network, taking off from the Ras Bu Fontas station and opening up opportunities for seamless travel to key destinations across the city.
The M129 route also offered commuters a viable alternative to private vehicles and contributed to a reduction in traffic congestion. Commuters and residents are encouraged to explore the enhanced connectivity offered by the new Metrolink routes.
