This summer season in Qatar is providing an opportunity for many residents and visitors to explore one of the country’s newest and most exciting destinations: West Walk at Al Waab.
Offering year-round comfort with its outdoor air-conditioning along its promenade avenues, West Walk sets a new standard for creating an ideal climate for relaxation.
“This place has become a haven for many families who love to dine and at the same time roam around without feeling the searing temperatures, especially during afternoon and evening,” a restaurant employee told Gulf Times.
He said West Walk has been attracting an increasing number of visitors not only locals but also nationals from GCC countries such as Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain.
Besides the weekend, he added that they received a good number of guests from Saudi Arabia recently and during the Eid al-Fitr and al-Adha holidays, enjoying the area’s modern and vibrant atmosphere.
Regardless of the season, this innovative district in Doha offers visitors a refreshing and cool environment to unwind and rejuvenate with their families, friends, and colleagues.
West Walk hosts an array of restaurants, cafes, boutiques, a hypermarket, gyms, pharmacies, a barbershop, cinemas, entertainment venues, and a shopping mall – essential amenities that are conveniently located within reach.
Freestylers Tribe, a one-of-its-kind indoor play area, described as the first parkour and free-running sports centre in Qatar, also operates in the area and has been attracting an increasing number of visitors. Apart from its interactive games, it also organises a Kids Summer Camp, arts and crafts, and other fun-filled and educational games.
“I like the place because it’s classy and cozy, and showcases Qatar’s thriving retail and food and beverage scene. Like other destinations, it’s also a melting pot of cultures because you get to see and meet different nationals who appreciate your offerings, as well as our services,” said another restaurant employee.
He said West Walk has started receiving visitors since January and has continuously attracted more due to its warm and welcoming ambience, in addition to its design and curated offerings, among other attractions.
The recent Eid al-Adha holidays also witnessed West Walk showcasing breathtaking 3D optical illusions, immersing visitors in a mesmerising display of mind-boggling visual tricks.
With more establishments set to open soon, West Walk is expected to attract a huge number of residents and visitors, especially in the coming months and during the cold months.
