Msheireb Downtown Doha (MDD), the sustainable and smart city developed by Msheireb Properties, celebrated Earth Hour to contribute to environmental awareness, conservation of natural resources, and reduce energy consumption.
The lights in Al Kahraba street at MDD, the first-ever street to receive electricity in Qatar, were turned off on Saturday, from 8.30 pm to 9.30pm.
Earth Hour is celebrated across the world on the last Saturday of March every year to encourage everyone to turn off unnecessary lights and electronic devices for one hour.
