Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatari "Estithmar Holding" Company Moutaz al-Khayyat has expressed his appreciation for His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and President Abdelmadjid Tebboune for laying the foundation stone of the Algerian-Qatari-German Hospital.
He stressed that this reflects the keenness of the two leaderships to encourage partnerships between the countries.
Al-Khayyat said, in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), that this project demonstrates the depth of the Qatari-Algerian relations, and supports Qatar National Vision 2030, as well as promote the development of the health sector in Algeria, which would drive growth and promote sustainable development.
The Chairman of the Board of Directors of "Estithmar Holding" indicated that the capacity of the Algerian-Qatari-German hospital to be established in Algiers reaches 400 beds and serves 100,000 patients annually.
He stressed the company's keenness to develop this great medical edifice according to the latest technology in the world of health care, with a focus on the foundations of human care and excellence in accordance with international standards.
He also emphasised the full commitment to provide an exceptional and humane service that takes care of the patient in the first place and contributes to providing a better healthy lifestyle.
He explained that the hospital's role is to strengthen the health care system at its various primary, secondary and specialised levels, in addition to advanced specialisations, intensive care for difficult cases, specialised ambulance services, family health and medical care.
Last October, Estithmar Holding signed a memorandum of understanding with the Directorate of Health and Population of Algeria to establish the Qatari-Algerian-German Hospital through its specialised healthcare company, Elegancia Healthcare.
The agreement to build a modern hospital, with an Algerian-Qatari-German partnership, was reached during the visit of President Tebboune to Doha last February.
At the end of the same month, President Tebboune assigned the government to establish a follow-up committee for the implementation of the project and the rest of the huge Qatari investment projects, which seek to remove administrative obstacles and provide an atmosphere for the implementation of the investment projects that were agreed upon during the visit.
