Students of Indian schools in Qatar have fared well in this year’s Class 12 examinations conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). 
The results of the examinations were announced on Saturday.
About 1,400 students from Indian schools in Doha had appeared for the examination this year.
S Nikil Roashan and Prithviraj Ray – both from DPS-MIS, and Akanksha Jain from Birla Public School scored 97% each to top in the Science stream.
In the Commerce stream, Athul Roshal Kumar P and Sheen Sara Symon from Birla Public School topped with 94.60 % while Samar Gafoor from Ideal Indian School topped the Humanities stream with 96%. 
Archan Gandhi with 96.8% and Amish Madhu Nair with 96.4% came second and third, respectively, in the Science stream at DPS-MIS and Naznin Anwar with 90% topped the Commerce stream in the school. 
Linda Lukose with 96.6% came second in the Science stream at Birla Public School while Merlin Sarah Abraham and Shourja Mukherjee with 95.8% came third. In Commerce, Avik Bhattacharya and Jeswin Kurien Abraham came second and third, respectively.
At Ideal Indian School, Aiman Quraishi topped with 96.6% in the Science stream, followed by Shreyesh with 96.2% and Anjana Satheeshkumar with 96%. In Commerce, Farhana Syed secured the top position with 92.2% followed by Rawan with 91.6% in second.
Riza Ashraf and Mansi Manoj with 90.8 % each came third. In Humanities, Sahar Gafoor secured second position with 93.2% while the third position was bagged by Rabwa with 92%.
At MES Indian School, Glitta Rosalia Cheeran emerged the topper with 96.8% in the Science stream followed by Keerthi Srijith with 96.6% in the second position. Jiss Maria Jaihar and Rayes Anna Benson shared the third position with 96.4%. In Commerce, Faeba Persis secured first position with 91.2% followed by Sneha Maria Shaji in the second position with 91% and Fathima Ummer with 90.4% in third.
In Humanities, Amna Basheer topped the school with 92.6% marks. Aisha Mustafa secured the second position and Reem Rashid Hashel al-Saeedi was third.
At Shantiniketan Indian School, Ashwin Suresh with 94.6% was the school topper in the Science stream. Meera Antony with 93.4% and Prabhat Shahi with 93.2% were second and third in the same stream, respectively. Amina Karim (94%) topped in Commerce in the school followed by Abdur Rahman (93.6%) and Maryam Shafique (92%).
At Doha Modern Indian School, Nick Shaju was the Science Stream topper with 95.8% followed by Aman Sultan Haris in second position and Arya Appukkuttan and Ateeqe Mohamed Ali in third. Sameia Rahmath with 92.6% is the Commerce stream topper followed by Nabeel Nowshad and Gayathri Simhan in second and third, respectively.
At Bhavan’s Public School, Meghana Pannikkote was the school topper with 95% in the Science stream followed by Mezyuna with 94% and Master Arjun with 90%. In Commerce, Amal Xavier topped with 86%.
The exams this year were marred by a paper leak controversy and a subsequent retest.
