Bedaya Centre for Entrepreneurship and Career Development participated, for the first time, in the Darb Al Saai festivities with ‘Dukan Bedaya’.
The celebration at Darb Al Saai was part of the many events taking place in the country for Qatar National Day.
‘Dukan’ incubated more than 20 local startup projects from diverse sectors, who were participating with their products related to the National Day celebrations, Bedaya Centre said in a statement.
“The participation of these startups was to support local products and promote them to end users. In addition, Bedaya was encouraging ambitious youth projects to create a generation of entrepreneurs who take responsibility to build a prosperous future,” the statement noted.
Reem al-Suwaidi, general manager of Bedaya Centre, said on this occasion: “We are taking part for the first time at Darb Al Saai with the ‘Dukan Bedaya’ initiative. The initiative aims to support small- and medium-sized local businesses, established by a group of aspiring and creative Qatari youth, by providing them with space to advertise and showcase their products at a strategic location.”
“We are always keen to raise awareness of local projects to help Qatari youth establish and strengthen their projects in a way that facilitates a new generation of entrepreneurs to become strong foundations for building a bright future in Qatar by relying on local industries and projects,” al-Suwaidi added.
Bedaya Centre is a joint initiative of Qatar Development Bank and Silatech.
