Qatar Museums (QM) has announced that it will operate at revised opening hours during the holy month of Ramadan, implementing the following operational hours for all its museums, galleries, and institutions. The operational hours are from Saturday to Thursday: 9am to 2pm, and 8pm to 12am; Friday: 8pm to 12am; First day of Eid al-Fitr: Closed
The revised opening hours for Al Zubarah Archaeological Site are: Saturday to Thursday: 10am to 2pm; Friday: 12pm to 3pm. QM has invited members of the community to participate in a series of creative activities for children and families in celebration of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Activities include:
  • Dadu x Baladna - Ramadan Gifts
Dadu Gardens, March 15, 21 and 22, from 8:30pm to 10:30pm
With the theme “Ramadan Gifts” and in collaboration with Baladna, Dadu Gardens will host three Ghabga dinners over the month of Ramadan. Children and parents are invited to attend this ticketed event and enjoy and experience various activities, including interactive culinary sessions, cultural crafts and activities, and children’s culinary stations. Tickets can be purchased on the Qatar Museums website.
  • Fire Station Garagao
13th Day of Ramadan (March 23 or 24), from 8pm to 11pm
Garangao is considered one of Qatar’s special celebrations, especially loved by children. Fire Station invites the public to enjoy their very own Garangao celebration, including a magic show, Garangao giveaways and face painting. There will also be food and beverage kiosks selling refreshments. This event is free to attend.
  • Create Your Own Garangao Bag Workshop
Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), March 18, from 8pm to 9pm
MIA’s Garangao invites children to take part in this creative workshop where they will create and embellish their very own bags to be filled with traditional candy and treats. Register for the session.
  • Liwan for Good
Liwan Design Studios and Labs, March 20, from 8.30pm to 11:30pm
Liwan for Good is a special charity event celebrating the holy month of Ramadan. A community-orientated event, it aims to bring together local charities and businesses for an evening of giving. As a creative space in the heart of the city, Liwan invites Qatar's burgeoning design community and the public to join hands and positively impact the world.
  • Planet Kids Club
Museum of Islamic Art - Library, March 26, 2024 | 7.30pm– 8.30pm
Join MIA for their monthly Planet Kids Club Session, to take part in different activities all created under an overarching theme of protecting our planet. This month will be a reading of Ramadan Around the World by Ndaa Hassan.
