People in large numbers ventured into outdoor arenas on the third day of Eid al-Adha on Saturday as the festivities across the nation continued with great enthusiasm and excitement.

Major centres of outdoor activities were Sealine Beach, Aqua Park, Aspire Park, Souq Waqif, Katara Cultural Village as well as Souq Waqif Al Wakrah where a number of thrilling and fun-filled activities were held.
At Aspire Zone, there were a number of games and joy rides for families and children.The activities included rides on paddle boats; radio controlled cars as well as specimen rail carriages.
Many children were taken for paddle boat rides under the guidance of their parents and relatives. The boats in the shape of birds and other creatures carried the children through the artificial lake in the middle of Aspire Zone Foundation, making it memorable for them.
Many others used the radio controlled cars and had great fun spending their time in the company of their friends and families. There were also large queues for the joy ride on the railway carriage which took the children around the waterfront at the venue.

For adventure lovers, there were aerial paragliding tours at Sealine Beach organised by Qatar Air Sports Committee, while there were many who rushed to the sand dunes with their SUVs. Several children and elders also could be seen riding quad bikes through these areas.
Meanwhile, many took to the beaches to cool themselves in the hot weather and there were large gatherings at the beaches, especially in the evening. Small and large groups of families and friends could be seen in these spots enjoying the last leg of their holidays as many are to resume work from today.
There were a number of family-oriented activities and children’s games at Souq Waqif as well as Souq Al Wakrah. A large air-conditioned tent was set up at Souq Waqif with plenty of toys and a variety of games and gifts to attract more kids and families. Events at Souq Al Wakrah were also presented in a big air-conditioned tent which included several games with creative ideas that stimulated the skills of the participants.
Katara was another popular destination where a number of activities and cultural shows attracted a large number of people. There were a number of theatrical performances based on ancient history as well as on Arabian Wonders. Katara also had a 15 minute fireworks which was a colourful feast for the eyes of the onlookers.
The third edition of Doha Comedy Festival, a one day event, was held at the Qatar National Convention Centre yesterday bringing together a diverse line-up of stand-up comedy stars including some local talents.
