Festivities continued across Qatar on the second day of Eid al-Adha yesterday as several entertainment programmes were held at a number of malls. A large number of families and children were seen enjoying and taking part in many of the programmes.
There were special programmes, especially for children, at many of these venues which included several types of games, joy rides and face painting among others. There were also theatre plays, fashion exhibition, comedy festival as well as a number of entertainment options for all members of the family. While most events were free for all, some of them had admission fees.
As part of the summer festival, The Qatar Tourism Authority had organised many programmes at different malls and other popular venues which were crowded with a large number of people. The Doha Festival City, Mall of Qatar, Lagoona Mall and Gulf Mall among other places, had several programmes. They included Tom & Jerry shows, Peter Pan show, acrobatic ballet, theatrical circuses and many more. 
Several outdoor activities were held at venues such as the Sealine Beach, Aqua Park, Aspire Park, Souq Waqif, Katara Cultural Village and Souq Waqif Al Wakrah. 
There were special games and magic shows for children at many of the malls. One of the most popular games was musical chair for small kids. Children also could enjoy rides on large trains stationed at these places.
A large number of people could be seen at places such as The Mall, Dar Al Salam Mall as well as Hyatt Plaza. Parents could be seen guiding the children to take part in the games while the organisers presented them with attractive prizes.
Most of the shows at these malls were held at the food courts and the eateries were overflowing with people. In addition to these, there were also many roaming shows at regular intervals which delighted the crowd. Mall-goers enjoyed the roaming shows while young children were thrilled meeting some of their fancy characters.
At The Mall, there were three roaming shows that included drumix parade, cowboy parade and the traditional Ardha show. The participants at these shows moved through the nook and corner of the Mall entertaining the huge number of visitors all over the place.
A five-member cowboy team comprising artistes from Ukraine went around playing several musical instruments along with a juggler displaying several athletic skills. The same team also went to other malls entertaining the crowds.
The festivities in the malls and other locations will conclude on Tuesday.
