Qatar’s first Hollywood-inspired residential tower is set to come up at The Pearl-Qatar and is expected to redefine the meaning of residential luxury in the country, an official of Al Asmakh Real Estate Development Company has said.
General manager Fadi Barakeh said Al Asmakh Real Estate and Paramount Hotels and Resorts have partnered to bring to Qatar a "groundbreaking" upscale residential project – Paramount Residences Doha The Pearl, which is set to open in the fourth quarter of 2018.
“This project is the first of its kind in The Pearl-Qatar, making it the next destination in the country. This is going to be the future of residential luxury,” Barakeh said yesterday on the sidelines of the project’s sales launch.
He said the residences consist of 196 units, comprising one, two, and three bedrooms, including four elite duplex units. The amenities include Paramount Hotel and Resorts’ signature elements and destinations such as the California-inspired pool deck, work-play suites, a coffee shop, screening room, wellness and fitness centre and Kids’ Studio Club.
“Qatar National Vision 2030 is very important to us, which is why most of our investments are focused in this country and not elsewhere. The vision of the company is to have a project that is distinct from all other destinations within The Pearl. This is why we have partnered with Paramount, which will bring the flavour of Hollywood to Qatar,” Barakeh emphasised.
In a statement, Al Asmakh Real Estate said “Paramount Residences Doha The Pearl is a jewel set immaculately in the crown of The Pearl-Qatar, offering investors a connection to the perfect creative partnership – Qatar’s most dazzling and sought-after location, starring alongside the relentless attention to detail and fabulously-designed interiors that characterise the Paramount brand”.

Barakeh said reservations and bookings “now stand at 20%” as he expressed optimism that the project will capture “a significant share of the upscale, luxury market once the project comes online next year”.
“Paramount has very high standards and the project itself is very unique to Qatar and even to the region,” he added.
As part of their investment, buyers of Paramount Residences Doha The Pearl will be able to enjoy "extraordinary views of the island’s beautiful waterfront, experience eclectic food and beverage offerings, and will be able to participate in a selection of exclusive entertainment".
Drawing on the history of Paramount Pictures, “Paramount Residences Doha The Pearl will embody the allure and appeal of an authentic California lifestyle and the inspirational world of Hollywood glitz and glamour”.
