Mark & Save has launched a QR1mn "Shop & Win” campaign to celebrate 500 days of operations in Qatar, offering thousands of prizes over six months as the retailer looks to reward customer loyalty while preparing for further expansion in the country. The promotion, which runs from August 1 to January 26, 2027, offers prizes to more than 1,300 customers through monthly raffle draws across the retailer's three Qatar outlets.Customers will receive one raffle coupon for every QR50 spent, increasing their chances of winning throughout the campaign. The prize pool includes five Jetour X70FL vehicles, six iPhone 17 Pro Max smartphones, 180 gold coins, 90 Impex 55” smart televisions, 450 Clikon 2-in-1 blenders, and 540 shopping vouchers worth QR200 each.Speaking to Gulf Times, Mark & Save manager (GCC operations) Mohammed Fasil said the campaign was designed as a gesture of appreciation to customers who have supported the retailer since its launch in Qatar."This promotion is part of our 500-day celebration in Qatar," he said. "We are giving customers the best possible prices, and all the prizes selected for the event are family-oriented or related to the needs of families."Unlike conventional promotional campaigns centred solely on discounts, the initiative combines everyday affordability with practical rewards designed to appeal to households and shoppers across different age groups.Fasil said the retailer has welcomed more than 2mn customers representing over 110 nationalities during its first 500 days, describing the response as evidence of the brand's growing acceptance in Qatar's diverse retail market."We are directly importing from manufacturing units to customers," he said. "The intermediary cost is removed, and that is the benefit customers receive."According to Fasil, products are sourced directly from manufacturers in countries including India, China, Bangladesh, Turkiye, the United Kingdom and Poland, allowing the retailer to maintain competitive prices while offering a broad range of merchandise. The company also intends to continue expanding its presence in Qatar."We are planning to expand with more stores in Qatar," Fasil said, adding that Mark & Save aims to operate more than 10 outlets by 2030 as part of its long-term growth strategy.Alongside expansion plan, the retailer is also preparing to introduce more environmentally responsible shopping practices.Fasil said the company plans to encourage customers to switch from conventional plastic shopping bags to reusable jute bags, following similar initiatives already introduced in other markets."We want customers to use more jute bags instead of plastic shopping bags," he said. "Plastics create environmental issues, so we will move towards jute bags as soon as possible."Mark & Save said the “Shop & Win” campaign reflects its continued commitment to rewarding loyal customers while providing quality products, competitive prices and an enjoyable shopping experience. The retailer has invited customers across Qatar to visit any of its stores, collect raffle coupons through eligible purchases and participate in one of its largest promotional campaigns to date.
