Under the patronage of HH the Amir, QU to hold 49th Graduation Ceremony May 4

Under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Qatar University (QU) will hold its Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2026 (male students) on May 4, 2026.In a statement on Monday, QU said the graduation ceremony for distinguished female students will be held on May 5, in the presence of HH Consort of HH the Amir Sheikha Jowaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al-Thani.The total number of graduates this year is expected to be around 3,980 graduates, including 3,110 female graduates and 870 male graduates.As it celebrates the graduation of its 49th cohort, QU continues to build on a decades-long legacy of contributing to Qatar's development by supplying the labor market with highly qualified graduates.The university noted that its current strategy focuses on enhancing the quality of graduates while strengthening its position as a leading higher education institution in Qatar and the region.QU reaffirmed its commitment to delivering high-quality education in fields aligned with national priorities, supporting the country's transition toward a knowledge-based economy.

MoI patronises graduation ceremony of Police Sciences, International Fire Safety Management students

Under the patronage and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Interior, Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police Academy, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, the Police Academy held a graduation ceremony for the second batch of male and female students of the Diploma in Police Sciences at the Police Institute and the Women's Police Institute, as well as the first batch of the Diploma in International Fire Safety Management at the Ras Laffan Emergency and Safety College. **media[419635]**Held at the academy's training ground, the ceremony was attended by officials, senior officers, and department directors, in addition to guests and the graduates' families. The programme featured a military parade performed by the graduates, reflecting their high level of training and operational readiness. **media[419634]**Outstanding graduates were also honoured in recognition of their academic and training excellence. A total of 166 graduates completed the programmes, including 154 from the Diploma in Police Sciences – 124 from the MoI and 30 from the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya). **media[419636]**The Diploma in International Fire Safety Management saw the graduation of 12 participants, including three scholarship recipients from Palestine. This milestone reflects the Police Academy's continued commitment to preparing highly qualified national cadres, equipped with the academic knowledge and practical skills required to perform their duties with competence and professionalism, in line with the highest standards in policing and fire safety.

Tamim bin Hamad University for Military and Technology Sciences announced

In the presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, and during the joint graduation ceremony of the military colleges, Qatar Armed Forces announced the establishment of Tamim bin Hamad University for Military and Technology Sciences, which will serve as an advanced academic institution, unifying the expertise of military and technical colleges and institutions within a unified scientific framework.  The university aims to enhance academic integration and coordination among military colleges and institutions, while preserving the identity and specialisations of each college. It also seeks elevating military education to advanced university level that keeps pace with modern requirements and science and technology developments. Furthermore, the university will contribute to developing national military competencies and raising the level of professionalism by building upon the accumulated experience and distinguished outputs of the prestigious military colleges, in order to enhance national readiness and support the security and defense system.  The university will include several military academic institutions, such as the Ahmed bin Mohammed Military College, Mohammed bin Ghanem Al-Ghanem Naval Academy, Al-Zaeem Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah Air College, Strategic Studies Center, Military Technical College, and the Cyber ​​Space Academy. **media[407829]**The establishment of the university affirms Qatar Armed Forces' commitment to investing in advanced military education, linking it to modern technological and strategic developments, and preparing highly qualified military personnel to serve the nation.

The Minister of Interior attends the graduation ceremony of the Second-Line Leadership Program at Police Officers Institute

His Excellency Minister of Interior, Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), and Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police Academy Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani attended on Thursday the graduation ceremony of 13 officers of the first batch of the second-line leadership program at the Police Officers Institute at the Academy's headquarters.During the ceremony, His Excellency handed out certificates to the graduates in the presence of a number of leaders and heads of the country's security and military agencies.The program aimed to prepare a new generation of security leaders capable of contributing to the development of institutions and facing future challenges. The program was implemented in cooperation with the IE University in Spain, which specializes in leadership.
