The Ministry of Justice has unveiled a new electronic system to manage its internal audit operations, marking Global Internal Audit Awareness Month with a launch event held in collaboration with the State Audit Bureau.The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali al-Mohannadi, and attended by His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice Saeed bin Abdullah al-Suwaidi.According to the ministry, the platform is intended to bolster governance, sharpen internal oversight and feed into its broader digital transformation push by streamlining how audit observations are recorded and followed up.Director of the Internal Audit Department Najla Fahed Dalwan said the system had been developed in response to rising governance demands and the need to shift from manual workflows to a single digital framework that improves efficiency, accuracy and risk management. She also underlined the importance of Internal Audit Awareness Month as a vehicle for promoting transparency, integrity and sound governance within public institutions.Aisha Khalid al-Darwish, acting director of internal audit and risk oversight at the State Audit Bureau, delivered a lecture on how internal audit contributes to institutional performance and strengthens governance and risk management systems.The ministry rounded off the programme with an interactive workshop examining the role of internal audit departments in government entities and the mechanisms for co-operation between them.
