Qatar Executive, the private jet charter division of the Qatar Airways Group, has announced a major milestone in private aviation connectivity. By early 2026, every Gulfstream and Bombardier aircraft type in the Qatar Executive fleet will be equipped with Starlink, the world's leading ultra-high-speed, low-latency Internet.This ambitious rollout builds on Qatar Executive's commitment to innovation and client experience. Half of the Gulfstream G650ER's and entire Bombardier Global 5000's fleet are already operating with Starlink, delivering seamless, ultra-fast Internet that allows passengers to work, stream, and communicate at ground-like speeds.All installations are performed in-house and will continue at a record pace with all remaining G650ER's and the entire G700 fleet scheduled for completion by early 2026.Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer Badr Mohammed Al Meer said: "We are pleased to consistently go above and beyond the expectations of our clients. By equipping our entire ultra-long-range fleet with Starlink, and completing installations with our own skilled technical teams, we are now setting a new standard for private aviation as well. This initiative aligns with our relentless commitment to excellence, delivering an experience that goes beyond expectations and truly feels like a home in the sky."The fleet-wide upgrade, combined with Qatar Executive's world-class service, creates an exclusive and unmatched experience that elevates connectivity and enhances synergies across the Qatar Airways Group.Qatar Executive is the private jet charter division of the Qatar Airways Group. Luxury jet services are available for worldwide charter on board the operator's wholly-owned business jet fleet.The ultramodern fleet includes eight Gulfstream G700's, fifteen Gulfstream G650ER's, two Bombardier Global 5000's and one Airbus A319CJ, all of which operate on a ‘floating fleet' concept, repositioning as needed, around the world, to meet customer demand and minimising the flying required to move from one customer to the next.

The Smart City Expo Doha, slated from November 25-26 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre (DECC), will focus on the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) in fields such as mobility, design, and urban management.During the event, more than 30 international experts will discuss how technological advances will help develop and transform cities in the Middle East to make them more efficient, sustainable, and liveable. Under the slogan ‘Beyond Connectivity: A Digital Solutions Pathway to a Smarter, Thriving Future’, Smart City Expo Doha 2025 will feature five main thematic areas: ‘Intelligent Digital Innovation’, ‘Disruptive Technology’, ‘Digital Economies and Talent of the Future’, ‘Connected Infrastructures’, and ‘Government of the Future’.Among the most prominent speakers is Kent Larson, an MIT professor specialising in urban design, microhousing, and autonomous mobility, who will provide his vision of how technology and human vision can shape the cities of the future. Meanwhile, AI and innovation expert Jesus Serrano will focus on how to use new technologies to achieve real and effective solutions. Reem al-Mansoori, Assistant Undersecretary of Digital Industry Affairs at the MCIT, will discuss the Qatari government’s strategy on urban transformation.Ghanim al-Muftah, a Qatari entrepreneur and FIFA ambassador who suffers from a disease that limits his mobility, will share his powerful testimony of resilience as well as his vision for inclusive design with attendees. The event, organised by Fira de Barcelona and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), will be featured at the inaugural Mobile World Congress (MWC) Doha, also happening at the DECC.Organised by the GSMA, in collaboration with MCIT, the first MWC event in the Mena region is expected to bring together more than 200 speakers and more than 200 exhibitors. The Smart City Expo World Congress is the world’s leading event on smart cities, bringing together 1,190 companies, 600 experts, and over 27,000 visitors in its latest edition, held in Barcelona two weeks ago.The Doha edition is part of the programme of local editions of this event that Fira organised outside Spain in 2025, including those in New York (the US), Curitiba (Brazil), Puebla (Mexico), Santiago del Estero (Argentina), Santiago de Chile (Chile), Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), Cartagena de Indias (Colombia), and Tuesday.City in Shanghai (China).

Qatar Airways and Air Algérie announced a codeshare partnership that will increase access to seamless connectivity between Algeria and key markets in Asia and the Middle East through Doha’s Hamad International Airport. Starting today, travellers can book codeshare flights for travel starting on November 15.Building on an existing interline partnership between the two carriers, the codeshare provides Qatar Airways customers easier access to Algiers as well as six other key destinations in Air Algérie's domestic network, including Annaba, Constantine, Oran, Tamanrasset, Timimoun, and Tindouf. Qatar Airways’ Privilege Club members will also earn Avios on codeshare flights operated by Air Algérie.Similarly, through codeshare flights with Qatar Airways, the Algerian national flag carrier offers more travel options for its passengers traveling to Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, and Muscat via Hamad International Airport. This codeshare agreement will soon be expanded to include additional destinations.Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer, Thierry Antinori said: “We are delighted to expand our partnership with Air Algérie through this new codeshare agreement, further strengthening our presence across key African markets. We are looking forward to a successful partnership with Qatar Airways.”Qatar Airways currently has 30 interline and six codeshare agreements with airlines across Africa, and operates some 213 weekly flights to 30 cities in 21 African countries.
