HMC expands Lbaih with newer services

Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has widened the reach of its Lbaih mobile application with a set of new digital services designed to cut waiting times, strip out paperwork and give outpatients firmer control over their own hospital visits. Patients can now confirm a medical appointment through the app within 48 hours of the scheduled visit. Once that 48-hour window opens, however, cancellation and rescheduling drop out of the application; anyone needing to change an appointment inside that period should contact Nesma'ak directly on 16060. Residents can also settle applicable appointment fees electronically — the first phase of a rollout currently live at Heart Hospital, Al Wakra Hospital and the Communicable Disease Center. The same update brings radiology results and reports from every HMC hospital into the Medical File section of the app. Reports appear once the physician has approved them.The additions form part of HMC's wider digital transformation programme. Since its launch in July 2025, Lbaih has been downloaded more than 300,000 times, with users drawing on a steadily expanding menu of digital healthcare services. Nasser al-Naimi, Chief of Patient Experience at HMC and Director of the Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute, said the new services reflect the corporation's focus on accessibility and convenience."The continued expansion of digital services through the Lbaih application is helping make healthcare more convenient and accessible for our patients," he said. "These new features are designed to simplify key stages of the outpatient journey, enhance the patient experience, reduce waiting times, and give patients greater flexibility and control over managing their healthcare experience."Dr Amal Gomaa Abdulla, Chief Information Officer at HMC, said the enhancements reflect sustained investment in digital innovation. "The new Lbaih functions are designed to make the outpatient journey more efficient for patients while also supporting improved operational efficiency across our facilities," she said. "Through Lbaih, we are continuing to expand secure, user-friendly digital services that give patients easier access to healthcare information and greater control over managing their care through a single integrated platform."HMC has encouraged patients to download the application and explore the full range of services now available through it.
