Dozens of activists on a Gaza-bound aid flotilla which was intercepted by Israeli forces in international waters off Crete disembarked yesterday in the Greek island, an AFP journalist saw.Escorted by Greek coastguards, around 175 activists, the majority of them nationals of European countries, were taken by coach to the port of Atherinolakkos, in the southeast of the island before being moved to Heraklion, the main city in Crete.As they approached the port, the activists chanted "Free Palestine", AFP saw.The activists were part of a second Global Sumud flotilla, launched in recent months in an attempt to break Israel’s blockade of Gaza by delivering humanitarian assistance.The ships set sail from the Spanish port of Barcelona on April 12.Yesterday an Israeli army ship transferred 168 members of the flotilla crew to Greek boats, which then took them to shore where buses and an ambulance waited for them, organisers said and Reuters footage showed.Israel's foreign ministry called the flotilla organisers "professional provocateurs" and said: "Israel will not allow the breach of the lawful naval blockade on Gaza”.Turkiye's foreign ministry said some 20 Turkish nationals in the flotilla who had been detained and taken to Crete would be repatriated.It said "certain participants from third countries" would also be sent to Turkiye.Two activists were detained by Israeli authorities, according to statements from Israel and the organisers of the flotilla, who identified them as Saif Abu Keshek, a Spanish national of Palestinian origin, and Brazilian Thiago Avila.Spain's foreign minister, Jose Manuel Albares, accused Israel of illegally arresting Abu Keshek and demanded his immediate release.Israel's foreign ministry said that Abu Keshek was suspected of affiliation with a terrorist organisation and Avila suspected of illegal activity, adding that both would be taken to Israel for questioning.In a post on their Telegram channel, organisers of the flotilla alleged that activists had been denied adequate food and water and "forced to sleep on floors that were deliberately and repeatedly flooded" aboard an Israeli naval vessel, describing their treatment as "40 hours of calculated cruelty".It said that some suffered injuries including broken noses and cracked ribs when they were kicked and dragged across the deck with their hands tied after they tried to protest against the detention of their two fellow activists.There was no immediate comment from Israel on the allegations of mistreatment.Germany and Italy's foreign ministries issued a joint statement saying that they were following developments with "deep concern".A source who asked not to be identified said that while 22 boats had been intercepted by Israel, 47 others were still sailing off southern Crete and planned to anchor there at some point before continuing onwards to Gaza.Each ship is carrying about a tonne of food, medical and other equipment, the source said.The 22 vessels were seized by Israel late on Wednesday in international waters off Greece's Peloponnese peninsula, which is hundreds of miles from Gaza, the flotilla's organisers said.In a statement on Thursday, the US State Department threatened "to impose consequences" against those who support the flotilla, which it cast as pro-Hamas.Pro-Palestinian activists say that Israel and the US wrongly conflate their advocacy for Palestinian rights as support for Hamas.Last October Israel's military halted a previous flotilla assembled by the same organisation, arresting Swedish activist Greta Thunberg and more than 450 participants.Palestinians and international aid bodies say supplies reaching Gaza are still insufficient, despite a ceasefire reached in October that included guarantees of increased aid.Most of Gaza's more than 2mn people have been displaced, many now living in bombed-out homes and makeshift tents pitched on open ground, roadsides, or atop the ruins of destroyed buildings.Israel, which controls all access to the Gaza Strip, denies withholding supplies for its residents. 

 Hezbollah has brought reinforcements and weapons to the south of the country since the start of the war with Israel on March 2, the organisation's director of media relations said yesterday.The Lebanese army said in January that it had finished disarming the group near the Israeli border in southern Lebanon, the scene of multiple wars between Israel and Hezbollah, the most recent of which was brought to a halt on April 17 by a ceasefire.The army had been enacting a plan that it drew up after a 2024 ceasefire agreement that ended the last war between the two.Speaking during an interview with a group of journalists including from AFP, Youssef al-Zein said the group had been able to "introduce forces and arms in the course of the battle" with Israel.He said the reinforcements did not use roads controlled by the Lebanese army."We are convinced that the army is a national army" that "will not enter into a confrontation with Hezbollah", al-Zein said.He said that if Israel had been able to penetrate deeper into Lebanese territory it was because Hezbollah had been disarmed south of the Litani river, which runs around 30km (20 miles) from the border, and its infrastructure there, including tunnels, destroyed.Nevertheless, he insisted that Hezbollah was able to "reconstitute its forces" after the last war with Israel, and that it was "prepared for a long battle".Israel announced on April 7 that it had completed the deployment of its ground forces in southern Lebanon and would maintain a 10km-deep "security zone".Asked about Hezbollah's recent use of cheap one-way attack drones controlled via fibre-optic cable against Israeli forces, Zein said it was one of the group's tactics."We are aware of the enemy's superiority, but at the same time we are exploiting its weak points," he said.The use of such drones which, unlike radio-controlled UAVs, cannot be electronically jammed and are hard to track, was popularised by the Ukraine conflict.Al-Zein, whose predecessor Mohammed Afif was killed in Israeli strikes on Beirut during the 2024 war, said the drones were "manufactured in Lebanon".Attacks using such drones have killed two Israeli soldiers and a civilian contractor in under a week, according to the Israeli military. 

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun yesterday said that Israel must fully implement the ceasefire between the two countries before beginning direct talks, after Israeli strikes killed more than 20 people over the past two days. Hezbollah drew Lebanon into the Middle East war on March 2, and Israeli and Lebanese representatives have since met twice in Washington — the first suchmeetings in decades, for discussions that Hezbollah has categorically rejected. After the first talks, US President Donald Trump announced a 10-day ceasefire that began on April 17, and a three-week extension after the second round. Trump said he hoped to host Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “over the next couple of weeks” as the two countries prepare for direct negotiations. Israel “must first fully implement the ceasefire in order to move on to negotiations... Israeli attacks cannot continue as they are,” Aoun said in a statement shared by the presidency. “We are now waiting for the United States to set a date to begin direct negotiations” with Israel,he added. Israel has repeatedly bombed Lebanon, particularly the south, despite the truce, and has carried out demolitions of border villages inside a “Yellow Line” it established in southern Lebanon.Israel said yesterday that it struck “approximately 20 command centres and military structures used by Hezbollah”. State-run National News Agency (NNA) reported a series of Israeli strikes on the country.Hezbollah meanwhile claimed responsibility for attacks on Israeli troops in southern Lebanon, and drone and rocket fire on northern Israel, saying it is in response to ceasefire “violations”. A Lebanese soldier and his brother were killed in an Israeli strike yesterday, Lebanon’s military said. The raid comes one day after 19 people including three civil defence personnel were killed in strikes in the country’s south, according to updated health ministry figures, while two army troops were also wounded. Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called the strike that killed the civil defence workers a “war crime”.President Aoun said yesterday that authorities were keeping up “contacts to consolidate the ceasefire and stop the demolition of homes in occupied southern villages”, according to a statement from his office. Under the truce, Israel reserves the right to act against “planned, imminent or ongoing attacks”.Its troops are operating inside an Israeli-announced “yellow line”, which demarcates a ribbon of Lebanese territory around 10 kilometres (six miles) deep along the length of the border, where Lebanese have been warned not to return. Israeli strikes in Lebanon have killed more than 60 people since the ceasefire began less than two weeks ago, according to an AFP tally of health ministry and army statements. Hezbollah lawmaker Hassan Fadlallah vowed yesterday that Israeli attempts to “establish a security belt on our land... will be brought down by the sacrifices of the resistance and the steadfastness of our people”.He also reiterated his party’s rejection of direct talks with Israel. Planned direct negotiations with Israel have caused a strong rift between the government and Hezbollah, which previously rejected Beirut’s commitment to disarming it.Aoun on Monday stated that direct negotiations aimed at stopping the war, securing an Israeli withdrawal from the south, returning the displaced to their homes, demarcating the border and reaching an end to the “state of hostility” with Israel. 

Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed al-Budaiwi Thursday strongly condemned Iran's ongoing military aggression against GCC member states, declaring that Tehran has "crossed all red lines" and "crossed all limits" with its blatant and escalatory actions.Speaking at a press briefing in Riyadh, al-Budaiwi said Iran directed more than 85% of its recent missile and drone attacks toward Gulf countries, purposefully targeting civilian and critical infrastructure sites including hotels, embassies, water facilities, airports, and energy installations across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Kuwait. These strikes have resulted in civilian deaths and significant damage, he added."Iran is purposefully targeting and launching direct attacks at the GCC countries," al-Budaiwi stated. He described the aggression as "not just another escalation" but "a dangerous turning point" and "a change in the relationship and situation between Iran and the GCC countries."The GCC chief also condemned Iranian actions in the Strait of Hormuz, including the closure of the vital waterway and the imposition of transit fees on vessels for safe passage, calling them clear violations of international law and the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. He warned of severe long-term consequences for global economic growth, energy security, and international trade, noting the region's critical role in oil exports.Despite the severity of the threats, al-Budaiwi emphasised the GCC's commitment to restraint and diplomacy. He revealed that Gulf states have directly informed Iran they will not allow their territories to be used to attack it and do not wish to become a party to the wider conflict. At the same time, he affirmed that GCC member states "reserve the right to respond" and are "studying all options" to safeguard their sovereignty and security, in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter.Al-Budaiwi welcomed the unanimous adoption by the UN Human Rights Council on March 25 of a resolution on the "Effects of the Recent Military Aggression Launched by Iran," describing it as an international rejection of the attacks on GCC territories and Jordan.He called for the active involvement of GCC countries in any future talks or agreements between the United States and Iran aimed at resolving the crisis, warning that their exclusion could undermine regional stability. The GCC chief reiterated the bloc's consistent preference for diplomatic solutions while asserting its role as a cornerstone of regional and global energy stability.In the same remarks, al-Budaiwi reiterated the GCC's earlier condemnation of Israel's June 2025 strike on Iran's nuclear facilities. He noted that the bloc had promptly convened an extraordinary meeting, condemned the targeting of nuclear sites as a violation of international law — including international humanitarian law — and stressed the need for diplomacy, warning of serious risks to human life and the environment.The statements come as GCC ambassadors continue meetings in Riyadh to coordinate responses amid heightened regional tensions.

Qatar has sent its ninth identical letter to United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and the Permanent Representative of the US to the United Nations (UN) and President of the UN Security Council (UNSC) for the month of March, Michael Waltz, regarding the latest developments of the Iranian aggression on its territory. The letter was sent by Her Excellency the Permanent Representative of Qatar to the UN Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif al-Thani. The letter noted that from the beginning of the attack on Qatar on February 28 until March 16, its air defence systems have intercepted several hostile aerial targets, pointing out that civilian injuries resulted from these heinous attacks. It stated that all damages and losses resulting from the attacks will be assessed by the relevant authorities, noting that further updates would be provided as they become available. The letter emphasised that these attacks by Iran continued even after the UN Security Council adopted Resolution 2817 (2026), co-sponsored by 136 countries, which condemned in the strongest terms Iran’s heinous attacks on Qatar and neighbouring countries, and demanded an immediate end to all such attacks. It also reiterated Qatar’s strong condemnation of this targeting and its full right to respond in accordance with Article 51 of the UN Charter, a right affirmed by Security Council Resolution 2817 (2026), in a manner commensurate with the nature of the aggression, in defence of its sovereignty and to safeguard its security and national interests.Qatar also requested that this letter be circulated as an official document of the Security Council. 

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and King Abdullah II ibn al-Hussein of Jordan discussed, at the Amiri Diwan Tuesday afternoon, developments in the region in the light of the current escalation and the continued Iranian aggression targeting Qatar, Jordan, and a number of countries in the region.  In this context, HH the Amir affirmed Qatar's solidarity with Jordan regarding all measures it takes to defend its sovereignty and security and to ensure the safety of its citizens.  King Abdullah renewed his country's solidarity and full support for all measures taken by Qatar to preserve its sovereignty, security, and stability.  The two sides expressed their rejection of these attacks and stressed the need for an immediate cessation of all military actions that could expand the conflict and endanger the security of countries and their peoples.  They also emphasised the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to de-escalate and contain the ongoing tensions, and to work through diplomatic channels and dialogue to address existing crises in a way that helps prevent further deterioration in the region and enhances prospects for security and stability.  Both sides also discussed a host of regional and international issues of mutual concern, stressing the importance of continuing coordination and consultation between the two countries, especially in light of current developments and their implications for the region's security and stability.  HH the Amir and the Jordanian king also held a bilateral meeting during which they discussed relations between the two sisterly countries and ways to develop them, in addition to exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern, foremost among them the current crisis and its repercussions on global peace and security.  His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani and His Excellency Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Khulaifi attended the session, along with a lineup of Their Excellencies senior officials.  Their Excellencies members of the delegation accompanying the king were also in attendance from the Jordanian side. Earlier, HH the Amir led the welcome and farewell accorded to King Abdullah upon his arrival and departure, along with his accompanying delegation at the Doha International Airport. HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Khulaifi was also present.

The Shura Council has commended, during its regular weekly session Monday at its headquarters in the Tamim Bin Hamad Hall under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Speaker of the Council Hassan bin Abdullah al-Ghanim, the steadfastness and cohesion of Qatari society in facing the "blatant Iranian aggression" to which Qatar has been subjected since February 28.The Council praised the role of the Qatari Armed Forces and all security agencies in demonstrating full readiness and a high degree of professionalism in safeguarding the nation, protecting its territorial integrity, and maintaining the security and stability of society.The Council affirmed that national unity and social cohesion constitute the first line of defence in the face of challenges, stressing that "our true strength lies in solidarity, collective resolve, and confronting adversity with a spirit of national responsibility”.The Council emphasised that this national unity remains the fundamental pillar upon which the country relies to overcome crises and challenges, achieve comprehensive development across all sectors, and safeguard its achievements and gains.The Council further affirmed that, despite the difficult circumstances and challenges, conditions in the country remain stable, thanks to the grace of Almighty God and the efforts of the esteemed government under the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.These directives, the Council noted, have resulted in the implementation of a carefully designed and well-co-ordinated action plan, alongside prudent measures that have ensured the uninterrupted delivery of services across all sectors, while continuously monitoring developments and responding to them promptly.The Council highlighted that popular solidarity, national awareness, support for state institutions, and the prioritisation of national interests during this period collectively represent essential factors in strengthening the country's ability to confront the aggression and safeguard its national interests.The Shura Council reiterated its strongest condemnation and denunciation of the Iranian aggression against Qatar, describing it as a flagrant violation of Qatar's sovereignty, a direct assault on its security, territorial integrity, and national interests, and a blatant breach of international law, the Charter of the United Nations, and established moral norms.The Council stressed that the repeated Iranian attacks involving ballistic missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles endanger civilian populations and target vital state infrastructure, including facilities linked to water and food security.It noted that 65% of these attacks have targeted civilian facilities and energy installations in Qatar.The Council categorically rejected any justification for the Iranian attacks against Qatar, affirming that such actions cannot be accepted under any pretext.It underscored that Qatar has been among the first countries to advocate dialogue with Iran and has exerted considerable efforts to facilitate such dialogue between Iran and the international community.This, the Council stated, reflects Qatar's longstanding policy that disputes and conflicts should be resolved through peaceful means, mediation, and negotiations.The Council expressed strong dismay at Iran's continued targeting of Qatar’s territory, stating that such actions reflect ill intent and treachery, contradict the principles of good neighbourliness, and undermine the foundations of understanding upon which bilateral relations between the two countries have been built over past decades.It called on Iran to cease its aggression against Qatar, adopt the language of wisdom and reason, preserve regional security, and spare the peoples of the region from further risks.The Shura Council welcomed the UN resolution issued last Wednesday condemning Iranian attacks on countries in the region, including Qatar, and calling for the immediate cessation of all such attacks, as well as an end to provocations or threats against neighbouring states, including through the use of proxies.The Council stressed the necessity for the international community, as well as regional and international parliamentary unions and organisations, to assume their legal and moral responsibilities in halting what it described as the grave and ongoing violations of the sovereignty of Qatar and other countries in the region, and to work toward containing the crisis in a manner that preserves regional and global security.The Council warned of the serious repercussions of Iranian attacks on regional and international security and stability.It cited Iranian threats to maritime security and the movement of vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, saying that such have had far-reaching consequences for global energy security, the stability of the international economy, and the sustainability of global supply chains, leading to what it described as the largest supply disruption in the history of the global oil market.The Council also referred to a recent announcement by the World Food Programme warning that disruptions to supply chains threaten the food security of millions of people in the Middle East.During the session, HE the Speaker al-Ghanim, on behalf of the Council, extended his congratulations and best wishes to His Highness the Amir on the approaching occasion of Eid al-Fitr, for continued health and well-being, and to return this blessed occasion to the people of Qatar and all residents with goodness, prosperity, and blessings, while preserving Qatar's security and stability.Following this, His Excellency the Secretary-General of the Shura Council Nayef bin Mohammed al-Mahmoud read the session's agenda.The Council then discussed the listed items and took the appropriate decisions regarding them. 

His Excellency Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al‑Thani, held a series of phone calls with Their Excellencies interior ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states to discuss the latest regional developments following the Iranian aggression against Qatar and other countries in the region.The discussions focused on strengthening joint security coordination and unifying Gulf positions to confront any threat to the security and stability of their member states. The ministers underscored the principle of collective Gulf security and the importance of solidarity in protecting the region and its people.The phone calls were received from UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Lt.-General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed al-Nahyan; Bahrain Minister of Interior General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdulla al-Khalifa; Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz al-Saud; Omani Minister of Interior Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al-Busaidi; and Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud al-Sabah.HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al‑Thani expressed his gratitude to his GCC counterparts for their solidarity and fraternal support, praising the high level of coordination among the region’s security institutions.In a related development, Qatar participated yesterday in the joint ministerial meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the United Kingdom held via videoconference.HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi represented Qatar at the meeting, which reviewed regional developments and affirmed the commitment of the GCC and the United Kingdom to maintaining regional security, stability, and coordinated diplomatic engagement.  

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received a phone call Wednesday from Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson. At the outset of the call, the Swedish Prime Minister voiced solidarity with Qatar regarding the continued Iranian aggression, stressing his country's condemnation of this aggression.  He also expressed his appreciation for the care and attention provided by the competent authorities in Qatar to Swedish residents.  HH the Amir expressed his thanks and appreciation to the premier for Sweden's solidarity and support for Qatar and its people.  The two sides also discussed developments in the region and their repercussions on regional and international security and stability. They stressed the importance of de-escalation, prioritising political solutions through dialogue and diplomatic means, and supporting international efforts aimed at consolidating security and stability and preserving regional and international peace.  HH the Amir also received a phone call Wednesday from The Netherlands King Willem-Alexander, who expressed reassurance regarding the situation in Qatar in the wake of recent developments following the Iranian aggression, emphasising that The Netherlands backs Qatar and stands in full solidarity with it.  He considered this aggression a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of Qatar and other nations in the region. The king praised the role of the Qatar Armed Forces in repelling the Iranian aggression, and lauded the efforts being undertaken by the relevant authorities in Qatar in dealing with these developments.  He hailed Qatar's role as a fair and reliable mediator in regional and global issues.  HH the Amir expressed his thanks to the king for his support and solidarity with Qatar, reassuring him of the care and well-being of Dutch nationals residing in the country.  Both sides underscored the criticality of de-escalation in the region and of upholding diplomacy and peaceful solutions as an overriding priority. They stressed that dialogue remains the only way to address crises and achieve security and stability in the region and the world.

Guided by the steadfast leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Qatar has demonstrated remarkable unity, discipline, and preparedness in the face of repeated Iranian aggression. Chairing the Cabinet’s regular session at the Amiri Diwan Wednesday, His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani led ministers in affirming the country’s collective strength under HH the Amir’s direction.  The Cabinet praised the Qatar Armed Forces for their decisive and professional action in countering successive Iranian attacks targeting several regions across the country. The ministers commended the forces’ exceptional readiness, coordination with security and civil authorities, and their unwavering commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity.  The Cabinet lauded the Ministry of Interior and all relevant agencies for their round-the-clock efforts to maintain public safety, ensure service continuity, and monitor the evolving security situation.  Reiterating Qatar’s categorical condemnation of the Iranian assault, the Cabinet described the attack as a flagrant violation of sovereignty and a direct act of aggression inconsistent with the principles of good neighborliness.  It reaffirmed Qatar’s right to respond under international law and defend its national interests, while maintaining its principled stance in favor of dialogue and peaceful conflict resolution. The ministers also extended Qatar’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Jordan — nations that were likewise targeted — affirming support for any measures they take to safeguard their stability.  The Cabinet expressed deep appreciation to friendly and allied nations for their firm solidarity and strong condemnation of the attacks, acknowledging their genuine concern for Qatar’s security and sovereignty.  Briefing the session, His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan al-Thani reported on the success of ongoing operations. He confirmed that the country’s air defence systems, fighter aircraft, and early warning mechanisms are functioning at peak capacity, underlining the armed forces’ complete capability to repel external threats and protect Qatar’s skies and terrain.  His Excellency Minister of Interior, Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), and Chairman of the Civil Defense Council Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani assured the Cabinet that the internal security situation remains stable and fully under control. He highlighted the tight coordination between security bodies and civil agencies to protect citizens, residents, and visitors, emphasising the continuity of essential services and swift on-ground engagement by response teams.  In follow-up briefings, several ministers presented updates on vital sectors including food security, energy, health, education, transportation, environment, and cybersecurity. The Cabinet expressed confidence in the nation’s readiness across these fronts, noting the robustness of the strategic reserves of food, medicine, and basic commodities, and the smooth flow of supply chains to meet domestic needs.  Echoing HH the Amir’s directives, the Cabinet reaffirmed that all state institutions are working in total alignment — defence and home affairs, civil and economic sectors alike — anchored by unwavering resolve to protect Qatar’s sovereignty, security, and the wellbeing of its people.

The Ministry of Defence has disclosed the full scale of its military response since the start of Iranian aggression, confirming that its air defence systems have successfully intercepted the vast majority of aerial and missile attacks launched against the country.In a comprehensive tally, the military confirmed the interception of two SU-24 fighter jets, three cruise missiles, 98 out of 101 ballistic missiles, and 24 out of 39 drones. Among the intercepted threats were two ballistic missiles that targeted several areas within Qatar, both of which were neutralised before reaching Qatari territory. The ministry stressed that the threat was identified and engaged immediately upon detection, in line with pre-approved operational plans."Qatar Armed Forces possess full capabilities and resources to safeguard and defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country and to respond firmly to any external threat," the ministry said.Separately, Qatar's International Media Office moved to rebuff a Bloomberg report suggesting that the Qatar Armed Forces' inventory of Patriot interceptor missiles had been depleted, calling the claim flatly false.In a pointed statement, the Office said the Patriot stockpile "has not been depleted and remains well-stocked," adding that the Armed Forces "remain at full readiness to protect all citizens, residents, and visitors for as long as necessary." The Office called the publication of such claims without official verification "deeply irresponsible, especially during this fast-moving and highly sensitive period," and said it was reviewing legal options to have the misinformation corrected.On the domestic security front, the Ministry of Interior has been issuing a steady stream of directives urging the public to remain indoors and leave their homes only when absolutely necessary, keeping away from windows and exposed areas. Residents are being told to follow instructions exclusively from official sources and to avoid spreading unverified information.Security agencies, the Ministry of Interior confirmed, are conducting continuous field operations through an integrated command system in close coordination with all relevant authorities, maintaining the highest levels of readiness as the situation continues to evolve.
