Qatar Chamber chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani held meetings with three top diplomats from West Africa yesterday at the chamber’s Lusail headquarters.Ambassadors Didio Othman Sidibe of Mali and Amadou Madoukou of Niger, as well as charge d’affaires Amidou Coulibaly of Burkina Faso, discussed a wide range of topics in the presence of Qatar Chamber board member Mohammed bin Ahmed al-Obaidli.During the meeting, they reviewed cooperation relations between Qatar and the three countries, particularly in the commercial and economic fields, as well as the investment climate and available investment opportunities.The ambassadors affirmed their countries’ keenness to strengthen trade cooperation with Qatar and attract Qatari investments, particularly in the sectors of industrial development and livestock.Sheikh Khalifa affirmed the Qatari private sector’s growing interest in the African continent, noting that Qatari businessmen are keen to learn about investment opportunities available in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, as well as the investment climate and incentives offered to investors in these countries.
