Malaysian embassy holds blood donation campaign

The Malaysia embassy in Doha recently organised the “Malaysian Community’s Blood Donation Drive” at the Qatar National Blood Donation Centre. Held under the theme Your Blood, Their Hope, the initiative was organised in collaboration with the Malaysian Association of Qatar (MAQ), Qatar Blood Donation Services, and Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC). The programme received an encouraging response from the Malaysian community, with approximately 100 Malaysians residing in Qatar signing up to participate in the humanitarian initiative. The event was attended by Malaysian ambassador Faizal Razali, who was welcomed by Blood Donation Centre director Salwa Mohammed al-Khamisi.Also present was MAQ president Dr Mohd Faris Khamidi, embassy officials and members of the Malaysian community in Qatar. Razali expressed appreciation to all Malaysians who participated in the initiative and highlighted the importance of community support and compassion in helping save lives. He also extended his appreciation to the HMC, Qatar Blood Donation Services, MAQ, volunteers, and all parties involved for their support and co-operation in ensuring the success of the programme.

All nonimmigrant visa applicants need to appear for in-person interview: US embassy

All US nonimmigrant visa applicants, including applicants under the age of 14 and over the age of 79, will be required to appear for an in-person interview with a consular officer, the US embassy in Qatar Monday said in an update published on the embassy website.Applicants seeking to apply for a US visa are encouraged to use the Embassy’s Visas Navigator, an online tool designed to answer frequently asked questions and provide step-by-step guidance throughout the application process.The US Embassy also reminded applicants and the public to rely only on official Embassy resources for accurate and up-to-date information. The Embassy’s official website and social media accounts may be monitored for further updates.
