Represented by its Criminal Studies Institute, the General Prosecution signed on Thursday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the State Audit Bureau, for joint cooperation in the fields of training and development, enhancing institutional cooperation and the exchange of expertise.On the Public Prosecution's side, Attorney-General and Director of Criminal Studies Institute, Turki Rashid Al Mohannadi signed the MoU, while on the State Audit Bureau's side, the MoU was signed by Director of the Center of Excellence for Training and Development, Mohammed Mohdhar Al Saadi. The signing took place in the presence of several leaders and officials from both sides, in addition to several public prosecutors, in a step that underscores the depth of the institutional partnership.The MoU aims to enhance joint cooperation between the two sides in training, scientific and research fields by organizing joint courses, seminars and workshops, exchanging professional expertise, implementing joint training activities and programs, preparing joint studies and research, and strengthening ties between researchers and research teams on both sides in areas of mutual interest.This MoU also comes within the framework of the two parties' keenness to support and promote joint work in training, scientific and research fields, as well as to benefit from the capabilities and expertise available to both sides in supporting institutional development and developing national capabilities.

The Ministry of Justice has unveiled a new electronic system to manage its internal audit operations, marking Global Internal Audit Awareness Month with a launch event held in collaboration with the State Audit Bureau.The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali al-Mohannadi, and attended by His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice Saeed bin Abdullah al-Suwaidi.According to the ministry, the platform is intended to bolster governance, sharpen internal oversight and feed into its broader digital transformation push by streamlining how audit observations are recorded and followed up.Director of the Internal Audit Department Najla Fahed Dalwan said the system had been developed in response to rising governance demands and the need to shift from manual workflows to a single digital framework that improves efficiency, accuracy and risk management. She also underlined the importance of Internal Audit Awareness Month as a vehicle for promoting transparency, integrity and sound governance within public institutions.Aisha Khalid al-Darwish, acting director of internal audit and risk oversight at the State Audit Bureau, delivered a lecture on how internal audit contributes to institutional performance and strengthens governance and risk management systems.The ministry rounded off the programme with an interactive workshop examining the role of internal audit departments in government entities and the mechanisms for co-operation between them. 

State Audit Bureau (SAB) participated in the meeting of the working team for monitoring and evaluating the strategic training plan for the financial and accounting audit bureaus of the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) countries, which was held virtually Tuesday. During the meeting, SAB was represented by Acting Director of Centre of Excellence for Training and Development at the bureau, Mohammed Mahdhar al-Saadi, and head of the training and capacity development department at the bureau, Johara Ahmed al-Jaal. The meeting addressed the recommendations and outcomes of the strategic training plan for member agencies for the period 2023-2025, and the implementation of the initiatives contained in that plan for the period 2026-2028. SAB met on Monday with a delegation from the Court of Accounts of Tunisia, during which the Tunisian delegation was briefed on the bureau's experience in adopting and implementing artificial intelligence, and the mechanisms of work followed in the organisational, legal and technical aspects. During the visit, areas of co-operation of common interest were also discussed, to support expertise and enhance mutual benefit.
