HH the Amir, Pakistan, Iraq PMs, Indonesia president discuss developments

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani received phone calls from Pakistan's Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Indonesia's President Prabowo Subiant, during which regional developments and efforts to achieve de-escalation featured prominently.The Pakistani prime minister and the Indonesian president each extended their sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the HH the Amir over the martyrs of the Qatari Armed Forces helicopter crash in the country's territorial waters.HH the Amir and both the leaders also exchanged greetings on Eid al-Fitr.Sharif reiterated Pakistan's solidarity with Qatar, expressing his country's condemnation of the Iranian aggression against Qatar and several other countries in the region. President Subianto similarly condemned the military escalation, confirming Indonesia's readiness to contribute to ongoing de-escalation efforts in the region.HH the Amir expressed his thanks and appreciation to both leaders for their sincere sentiments and their countries' supportive stances.All sides underscored the importance of de-escalation and an immediate halt to military operations in the region, affirming the necessity of prioritising diplomatic solutions to end.HH the Amir also received a phone call Wednesday from Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani.Both leaders exchanged stressed the importance of de-escalation and prioritising diplomatic solutions to enhance security and stability in the region.In this context, HH the Amir reiterated Qatar's condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting several countries in the region, stressing that they constitute a violation of state sovereignty and international law.HH the Amir also stressed the necessity of immediately halting these attacks, refraining from using the territories of any country to threaten neighbouring countries, and the importance of taking the necessary measures to prevent any hostile acts originating from its territories to preserve the security of the region and prevent further escalation.

PM meets Pakistani counterpart

His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani, met Tuesday with visiting Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.**media[420605]**They discussed bilateral relations and ways to support and strengthen them, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common interest. HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed Qatar’s full support for all efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability at the regional and international levels.

Pakistan PM leaves Doha

Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif left Doha Tuesday, following a working visit to the country. The prime minister and his accompanying delegation were seen off upon departure from Doha International Airport by His Excellency Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi and ambassador of Pakistan to Qatar Muhammad Aamer.

Pakistan PM arrives in Doha

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha Monday evening on a working visit to the country. He and his accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Doha International Airport by His Excellency Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammed bin Abdulaziz al-Khulaifi and Pakistani ambassador to Qatar Muhammad Aamer.

Pakistani PM reiterates condemnation of Israeli attack on Qatar

Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reiterated Friday his country's condemnation of the treacherous Israeli attack that targeted Qatar on Sept 9.In his address to the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Sharif affirmed Pakistan's condemnation in the strongest terms of the Israeli violation of Qatar's sovereignty, in the attack that targeted residential buildings in Doha, and its violation of the sovereignty of other countries in the region.Separately, the Pakistani prime minister said that the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip and the genocide against innocent Palestinian civilians represent a stain on the global conscience and a collective moral failure, reiterating the demand to hold Israel accountable for its war crimes and crimes against humanity.He also welcomed the official recognition of the State of Palestine by a number of countries, calling on other countries to do the same. He recalled Pakistan's supportive position for the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with Jerusalem as its capital.Sharif also addressed the Ukraine-Russia crisis in his speech, affirming his country's support for all efforts aimed at a peaceful resolution of the conflict between the two countries in accordance with the UN Charter.He also spoke, in separate contexts, about climate change, world peace, and Islamophobia.

Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif arrived in Doha Thursday, on a fraternal visit to the country.The Prime Minister and the accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Doha International Airport by His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani, and the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Qatar Muhammad Amir.
