The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) signed a funding agreement with the Ministry of Sports and Youth to support the Qatar Challenge Racing Club (Samla) in organizing the 8th edition of the Samla Race 2026.Under the agreement, DAAM will provide financial support covering all operational costs of the race, as well as cash prizes for competitors.This agreement reflects the leading role of DAAM and the contributing companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange in supporting sports and social activities and promoting sustainable development, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.Through this support, DAAM aims to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity, encourage community members to participate in sports, and foster a spirit of challenge and competition among participants.The race is scheduled to take place from Dec. 3-5, 2026, covering a distance of 200 kilometers, which participants must complete within 44 hours. The race consists of five main disciplines: swimming, running, cycling, kayaking, and shooting.Since its establishment in 2010, DAAM launched numerous key projects and initiatives across the cultural, social, sports, and charitable sectors. Contributions from companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange represent one of the Fund’s primary sources of funding, making these companies essential partners in achieving community development.
