Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Ishaq Dar and head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA) of Switzerland, Ignazio Cassis discussed, over the phone on Saturday, the latest developments regarding the understandings reached between the United States and Iran.In a statement, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said that the Pakistani and Swiss sides welcomed the encouraging progress toward reaching an understanding between Washington and Tehran.Both ministers expressed hope that the ongoing efforts would soon contribute to peace and stability in the region.On Thursday, US President, Donald Trump had announced that US Vice President, JD Vance will attend the signing ceremony of the US-Iran deal, adding that the ceremony is expected to take place in Europe early this week.

The Arab League, Arab Labour Organization, Arab Council for Childhood and Development, and AGFUND called for stronger protection of children in Palestine and across the Middle East, while praising the outcomes of the 2025 Global Social Development Summit in Doha.In a joint statement marking the World Day Against Child Labor on June 12, the organizations warned that ongoing conflicts, displacement, poverty, and economic hardship are increasing child labor across the Arab region.They highlighted the severe humanitarian situation facing Palestinian children, particularly in Gaza, citing deprivation of food, shelter, education, and healthcare, and called for urgent international action to protect their rights.The organizations also welcomed the Doha Political Declaration and the Marrakesh Global Framework for Action Against Child Labor, stressing that ending child labor is both a moral and development imperative.They further called for decent employment opportunities, stronger enforcement of child protection laws, and enhanced digital safety measures for children. 

His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met on Tuesday with Walid Jumblatt, former President of the Progressive Socialist Party of the sisterly Republic of Lebanon, who is visiting the country.During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the current situation in the region.

Israeli strikes killed at least ​10 Palestinians, including five ‌members of the same family, in separate attacks in ‌the Gaza ⁠Strip yesterday, health ‌officials said.Medics in Gaza said ‌Israeli aircraft struck four apartments before dawn, including the family's home, killing ⁠nine people and wounding at least 15.Later, a separate airstrike killed one person and wounded others near Wehda Street in Gaza City, medics said, taking the day's death toll to at least 10.The Israeli military did not immediately comment.Reuters footage after the first strike showed a blown-out building with charred and damaged ​furniture, with debris strewn across the road.A video circulating on Palestinian social media, which Reuters could not immediately verify, showed people entering an apartment with blankets to ‌recover bodies."We were woken ⁠up by the ​strike at 2:30am. We found pieces of flesh and ​people were sleeping. They say the war is over but the war is not over," Khalil Batran, a neighbour of the family who were killed, told Reuters.A girl was the only survivor of the strike on the family home, medics said."There is no safety in Gaza ... Every day they fire at us from there and strike us with missiles. It's futile," Batran added.A ceasefire brokered by US President Donald Trump has failed to halt ‌Israeli attacks and left ‌Israel in control of more ⁠than half the enclave after October 2023.Indirect talks on a second phase of the deal — including Hamas disarmament and Israeli troop withdrawals — have stalled.Some 930 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes since the ​truce began, according to figures from Gaza health officials. 

Egypt's Foreign Minister, Badr Abdelatty, discussed efforts to reduce tensions and promote stability in the region during a phone call on Tuesday with Steve Witkoff, the US special envoy to the Middle East.In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Egypt said the two officials reviewed developments in the course of US-Iran negotiations and exchanged views on ways to advance the diplomatic process.The discussions also focused on efforts to reach a mutually acceptable settlement that could help ease tensions between the two sides, according to the statement.

 HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani met yesterday with UAE ambassador to Qatar Saeed Abdullah al-Qamzi. The meeting addressed cooperation between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen it. It also discussed a number of topics of common interest.The prime minister wished the ambassador success in performing his duties, assuring him of all support for closer co-operation across various fields.  

A Palestinian man succumbed to his wounds on Sunday after being injured in an Israeli airstrike near the Firas market in central Gaza City.The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), citing medical sources, reported that the man had been wounded in the attack on the area before succumbing to his injuries.The death toll from the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 72,819, with 172,894 wounded.Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement by carrying out further assassinations, artillery shelling, airstrikes, and heavy gunfire in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
