KG sports extravaganza at Rajagiri Public School

Little Kingdom of Rajagiri Public school marked Qatar National Sport Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic spirit as the Kindergarten section celebrated its much-awaited KG Sports Day on February 9. The event was a vibrant and memorable occasion, filled with energy, colour, and excitement. The opening ceremony featured a variety of cultural and sports-themed performances that beautifully represented Qatar's spirit and heritage.**media[416193]**All kindergarten students actively participated in a range of races and fun-filled sporting events.The ceremony was graced by the chief guest, Dr Aju Abraham, who officially opened the Sports Day. The flag hoisting ceremony was conducted by the Principal, Joshy Abraham, and the Vice-Principal, Radhakrishnan, symbolising the formal commencement of the day’s events.The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Christina, the Physical Education In-charge, who expressed gratitude to the management, staff, parents, and students for their support and participation in making the event a grand success. The celebration not only promoted physical fitness but also instilled teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship among the young learners, making it a truly memorable tribute to Qatar National Sport Day.

Rajagiri Public School's Lumina 2026 carnival draws crowds

Rajagiri Public School hosted its student-led charity carnival, Lumina 2026 on January 8, drawing enthusiastic crowds to the campus from 4pm to 8pm.The event was inaugurated by Dr Aju Abraham, member of the board of directors, along with admin director Jinsu Aju and principal Joshy Abraham, who commended the student council for their exemplary organisational efforts. **media[404604]** Deputy head boy Gurshaan Singh and deputy head girl Ayisha Vengasseri led the planning and execution of the carnival, with significant contributions from students of grade IX and XI. The carnival featured a wide range of cultural performances, games, activity stalls, and entertainment programmes across the campus. While some attractions were offered free of charge, premium experiences were available for a nominal fee. **media[404605]** Select materials and services were outsourced to enhance the quality of offerings. The charity-focused event witnessed strong participation from parents, students, and teachers. In alignment with the school's mission to nurture student leadership and social responsibility, all surplus funds after covering basic expenses will be donated to charitable organisations. **media[404606]** The initiative stands as a testament to the collaborative efforts of students, parents, faculty, and the school administration in creating an event that combined entertainment with community service. School officials expressed their appreciation to all participants and supporters who contributed to the grand success of the carnival Lumina 2026.

Rajagiri Public School (RPS), Doha, organised Insijamu 2025, the fifth edition of Interschool Qatar History Quiz Competition, participated by selected schools. Each team comprised three students.The quiz comprised multiple rounds that tested the participants’ knowledge, analytical skills, and presence of mind.Doha Modern Indian School won the first prize, followed by MES Indian School in the second position and Loyola International School, Doha, in the third position.The chief guest was Husan Ibrahim, research assistant at the Centre for Conflict and Humanitarian Studies. Addressing the gathering, he highlighted the importance of historical understanding in shaping informed and responsible citizens, and appreciated the efforts taken by the school in promoting academic excellence through such initiatives.The winners were announced by RPS vice principal S Radhakrishnan, and felicitated by the chief guest and the school's administrative director Jinsu Aju.

RPS hosts Metanoia educational conference

Rajagiri Public School (RPS), Doha, hosted the 5th edition of its annual educational conference, Metanoia 2025 – Learning Beyond the Horizon. The two-day event saw educators and thought leaders engage in an exchange of ideas rooted in the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the emerging demands of 21st-century education.RPS director and noted consultant psychiatrist Dr Aju Abraham inaugurated the event and stressed on fostering psychological well-being in both children and adults within the educational ecosystem. Ten presentations by RPS faculty showcased innovative teaching strategies and progressive educational paradigms.Gayathri Palla, Microsoft Cloud Architect, Qatar, spoke on Cyber Safety and Security in Educational Spaces. The chief guest at the valedictory function was Bimalendu B Nath, director of MIE-SPPU Institute of Higher Education, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Qatar Campus. RPS administrative director Jinsu Aju felicitated him.Principal Joshy Abraham congratulated the presenters and thanked the organising team which had vice principal Radhakrishnan as chief co-ordinator.
