Cypriot president affirms solidarity with Qatar, condemns Israeli attack

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received on Sunday a phone call from the President of the Republic of Cyprus Dr. Nikos Christodoulides.During the call, the President of Cyprus expressed his country's solidarity with the State of Qatar and its strong condemnation of the Israeli attack that targeted residential buildings, stressing that such an act constitutes a flagrant violation of international laws and norms and poses a serious threat to the security of the State of Qatar and the countries of the region.For his part, His Highness the Amir affirmed that the State of Qatar will take all necessary measures to safeguard its security and sovereignty in the face of the treacherous Israeli attack. His Highness expressed gratitude to the President of Cyprus for his sincere sentiments and for Cyprus's valued solidarity with Qatar and its people.

PM, Cypriot FM discuss mutual cooperation, economic partnership

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani met Monday at the Amiri Diwan with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus, Dr Constantinos Kombos, who is visiting the country.The two sides discussed co-operation between the two countries and ways to support and develop it. They also discussed enhancing economic partnership, especially in the energy field, in addition to other topics of mutual interest.
