A Lebanese military source said that the army has repositioned its forces across several sites in southern Lebanon, after previously evacuating them due to Israeli attacks. In an exclusive statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the source said that the army has redeployed in more than 15 positions south of the Litani River, including Al Qasimia, after it was forced to evacuate some of these sites due to security risks and the Israeli attacks. The truce between Lebanon and the Israeli entity, which began on April 16, is no longer in effect and has lost its effectiveness on the ground, except for the ceasefire in Beirut, amid the continued attacks on southern Lebanon at a pace resembling the days of the conflict, the source added. The source stressed that the priority of the Lebanese army is to protect civil peace and stability, as well as to support the people and stand by them under all circumstances – whether during their return to their villages and towns, or by assisting state institutions in providing basic services such as communications and electricity.He added in his statement to QNA that despite being forced to withdraw from some high-risk security areas in southern Lebanon-known as the “yellow line” – the Lebanese army has not abandoned its duties, noting its presence in a number of highly dangerous field missions, as well as its participation in search and rescue operations for victims in areas subjected to Israeli air strikes and shelling. — QNA 

His Excellency Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh al-Khulaifi participated Tuesday in Cairo in a high-level preparatory meeting held within the framework of preparations for the upcoming international conference to support the Lebanese Army and Internal Security Forces of Lebanon, scheduled to take place in Paris.During the meeting, international positions were co-ordinated and the necessary outcomes were arranged in a manner that contributes to strengthening the capacity of Lebanese security institutions to carry out their duties in maintaining security and stability.In his remarks, HE the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed Qatar's firm and supportive stance towards Lebanon and its brotherly people, underscoring its commitment to supporting state institutions, foremost among them the Lebanese Army and Internal Security Forces, in a way that enhances stability, preserves Lebanon's sovereignty and unity, and contributes to creating conducive conditions for economic recovery and the consolidation of security.His Excellency reiterated that Lebanon's stability constitutes a fundamental pillar for the stability of the entire region.In this context, he noted that Qatar has consistently supported the Lebanese Army as a pivotal national institution, including by supporting the salaries of its personnel over the past four years, providing fuel over the past three years, and extending other contributions aimed at enhancing its capabilities and enabling it to fulfill its national duties.He further stressed the importance of concerted international and regional efforts to support Lebanon during this critical phase, in alignment with the aspirations of the brotherly Lebanese people for stability, development, and prosperity. 

The Lebanese Army Thursday received 37 vehicles from Qatar, delivered through the Qatar Fund for Development as part of a 162-vehicle grant to bolster operational capacity. “This support reflects Qatar’s steadfast commitment to Lebanon’s security and stability,” said His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman al‑Thani, Qatar’s ambassador to Lebanon. Brigadier General Amin al-Qaai, representing the Lebanese Army Commander, thanked Qatar for “its continued and sincere support to the Lebanese military institution.”
