KEF Toastmasters Club held a successful Open House on May 10, attracting more than 10 guests and resulting in 4 on-the-spot membership registrations, reflecting growing interest in communication and leadership development through Toastmasters.The event gave guests the opportunity to experience a Toastmasters meeting firsthand and learn about the organisation’s role in helping individuals improve their public speaking, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.A key highlight of the evening was a keynote address by distinguished toastmaster Sunil Kumar Menon, who shared practical insights on personal growth, effective communication, and leadership. His address was well received by both guests and members.The meeting was opened by sergeant-at-arms Yakhoob Kariyamthodi, while club president Ajinas Arangatt shared his Toastmasters journey and highlighted the benefits of membership. Toastmaster of the Day Manju Nair introduced the meeting theme, “If May Could Talk,” and provided guests with an overview of the Toastmasters educational programme.Members Fawaz Mohammed and Rauf Mohammed engaged the audience in their speech and conveyed meaningful messages. Evaluators Yakhoob K and Amit Khanna provided constructive feedback, demonstrating the supportive learning environment that Toastmasters promotes.The lively Table Topics session, conducted by distinguished toastmaster Bindu Pillai, encouraged spontaneous speaking and active participation from attendees, including guests. The meeting was supported by role players Sherin Ameer (Timer), Leena Ollachery (Grammarian), Pranav Nair (Ah-Counter), and Sifa Faisal (Listener), who contributed to the smooth conduct of the programme.General evaluator and distinguished toastmaster Sherwin Olimpo commended the club for its well-organised meeting and consistent commitment to maintaining high standards.Club leaders expressed gratitude to all participants, role players, and guests for contributing to the success of the Open House. The positive response and new memberships gained during the event underscore KEF Toastmasters’ continued efforts to empower individuals through communication and leadership excellence.
