One killed and seven injured in new Israeli airstrike on Southern Lebanon

One person was killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike on southern Lebanon. In a statement, the Lebanese Ministry of Public Health reported that an Israeli airstrike on the Musaylih area killed one person and injured seven others. Lebanon calls on the international community to pressure the Israeli entity to end its daily attacks, withdraw unconditionally from all occupied territories in the south, and release the detainees. On Nov. 27 of last year, a ceasefire deal came into effect in Lebanon. The agreement required Israeli forces to withdraw from border villages and towns in southern Lebanon within 60 days. Later, the Lebanese government agreed to extend the deadline until last February. However, the occupation army has maintained its positions at five points and continues its violations there.

Australia slams Israeli strikes in Qatar as breach of sovereignty

Australia on Wednesday strongly condemned the Israeli airstrikes that targeted several Hamas leaders in Doha, stressing that the attack constitutes a violation of the sovereignty of the State of Qatar.Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong said in a statement that the strikes would complicate efforts to reach a peace agreement and risk further escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.Wong underlined that the attack undermines Qatar's role in supporting ceasefire efforts and the release of hostages."The Australian government believes this was the wrong thing to do. Qatar, as you know, has been one of the parties seeking an immediate ceasefire. It has been working with the United States on the return of hostages," Wong told ABC News on Wednesday."This is a violation of Qatar's sovereignty. It imperils that work on the ceasefire and it risks escalation," she stressed.

Seven Palestinians were martyred and others wounded today in ongoing Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, marking the 704th day of the genocidal war waged by the Israeli entity. Field sources reported that five aid seekers were martyred by Israeli occupation forces' fire southwest of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip. Field teams succeeded in rescuing a man and a woman from under the rubble of the targeted house, and recovered the body of only one martyr, while the others remained missing under the rubble. The crews are trying to extract and retrieve them in the absence of the necessary tools and equipment. Israeli drones fired explosive bombs in the vicinity of the Ghazali intersection in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, northwest of the city, and also fired smoke bombs in the skies over the Tuffah neighborhood. The death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since Oct. 7, 2023, has risen to 64,522 martyrs and 163,096 wounded. The Israeli occupation resumed its aggression against the Gaza Strip after violating the nearly two-month-long ceasefire agreement on March 18.
