Six-year-old Qatar resident al-Ameen bin Ahammed Danish has secured recognition from five record organisations for a 20x20 acrylic painting, turning childhood curiosity into an inspiring community achievement.A Grade 2 student at Scholars' International School, al-Ameen has been recognised by the India Book of Records, International Book of Records, Kalam’s World Records, Worldwide Book of Records and Noble World Records for his acrylic work.According to information provided by his family, the achievement is believed to be a first of its kind for a young child in the GCC in this particular canvas-painting category.For al-Ameen, however, the painting is less about records and more about the message he wanted to express.“My painting tells a story about peace and colours,” he told Gulf Times. “I am most proud of the sky and the way I used bright colours in it.”The six-year-old said receiving recognition from five organisations left him feeling “very happy and proud”.“I was also grateful to my parents and teachers for supporting me,” he added.His parents, Ahammed Danish and Raniya Abdul Samad, said his interest in art became visible long before the certificates arrived.“We noticed his interest when he was very small. He loved drawing everywhere,” they said.Rather than turning his talent into a demanding routine, the family has focused on preserving the enjoyment that first drew him to art.“We encourage him by giving him time to paint and making it fun, not a task,” they said.The family, originally from Perambra in Kerala’s Kozhikode district, also credited al-Ameen's school and Qatar’s wider community for creating an encouraging environment. His father works with Qatar Airways, while his mother serves at Military Medical City Hospital in Doha.“His school and teachers gave him support. The community in Qatar is very supportive,” his parents said. “Talented children need love, encouragement and opportunities to grow.”They hope the story will encourage other young people to pursue what they enjoy, regardless of their age.“We hope his achievement inspires other children to follow their passion,” they said.The family is now considering exhibitions and opportunities to use his artwork in support of charitable and community causes.For al-Ameen, the achievement may be recorded in five books, but its larger message is simple: when children are given space, encouragement and joy, even the smallest hands can create something meaningful.
