Ideal Indian School (IIS) recently held a graduation ceremony to honour its outgoing Class XII students. Dressed in ceremonial robes and caps, the graduating students marched to the KG Auditorium for the momentous occasion. Acting principal Mohammad Azam Khan, head of the Boys’ and Girls’ sections welcomed the students and extended their best wishes for success in the upcoming CBSE board exams.During his keynote address, Azam Khan reflected on the significance of this important milestone, reminding students that it marks both the completion of their school life and the beginning of a new chapter. He urged them to embrace the future with confidence, perseverance, and a love for learning, and to follow their dreams with honesty and commitment.He also explained the recent CBSE reforms in the Class XII examinations. As part of the ceremony, the acting principal, along with the section heads, distributed the examination hall tickets to the students. 

Ideal Indian School (IIS) organised Qatar National Sport Day (NSD) with a wide range of sports and fitness activities to celebrate the nation’s commitment to health and wellness. The event aims to encourage students and staff to participate in physical activities and promote an active lifestyle.The Department of Physical Education coordinated various sports, games, and fitness programmes to foster a culture of regular exercise and make sports an integral part of daily life. The celebrations witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of both morning and evening sessions across all sections — Boys, Girls, Junior, and Kindergarten — along with active involvement from teaching and non-teaching staff. Students actively took part in events such as the Scooter Rally, Circuit Run, Roller Skating, and Bicycle Rally, reflecting their spirit of sportsmanship and commitment to healthy living.Acting principal Mohammad Azam Khan K, along with the heads of Sections, officially flagged off the Roller Skating and Bicycle Rally. Hundreds of students enthusiastically took part in bicycling, skating, and a sports awareness walkathon. The event aims to promote environmental awareness and emphasise the importance and health benefits of regular physical activity and sports participation across all campus.School staff, including teachers, administrative and transport staff, actively participated in various competitions. The Male Staff Volleyball Competition and the Ladies’ Dodge Ball Competition were conducted with great enthusiasm. The winners were awarded trophies by the acting principal, and Ibrahim, head of Transport.Students of Ideal Indian School also participated in the Half Marathon Race organised by the Qatar Olympic Committee at Lusail Boulevard as part of NSD. As many as 67 participants from the Boys’, Junior, and Girls’ Sections successfully completed the race and were awarded medals. 

The 77th Republic Day of India was celebrated at Ideal Indian School with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and solemnity. Observed on January 26 each year, Republic Day commemorates the day the Constitution of India came into effect, establishing India as a sovereign democratic republic. The celebrations began with the hoisting of the national flag by school president Dr Hassan Kunhi MP, accompanied by the school choir’s rendition of the national anthem.The event was attended by Zaheeruddin Ibrahim, chairman of the HR and Finance Committee; Binu Kumar, member of the committee; acting principal Mohammad Azam Khan; heads of departments and sections; staff; scouts and guides; parents; and students. In his address, Dr Hassan Kunhi MP emphasised that the Republic Day is a reminder of the Constitution’s strong foundations, highlighting the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. He encouraged students and attendees to uphold these values, stressing the importance of responsible citizenship in building a united and progressive India. Khan urged students to take pride in their heritage while embracing progress and innovation. He motivated them to pursue careers in the humanities and civil services to contribute meaningfully to the nation. He reminded them to represent India with discipline, civic sense, and dignity wherever they go. A guard of honour by the School Scouts and Guides added solemnity to the occasion. The flag-hoisting ceremony commenced with a prayer by Mohammed Misbahuddin (class IX). Students expressed their patriotic sentiments through speeches, with Danish Ishaq Rasulbhai (class VIII) speaking in Hindi and Hishana Manoj (class IX) delivering her address in English. Performances by students from boys’, girls’, and junior sections of the morning and evening sessions enthralled the audience with a stirring patriotic song. During the ceremony, the school’s academic excellence was recognised at the CBSE Gulf Sahodaya Principals’ Conference for outstanding performance in the grade XII Examinations 2025. Certificates and mementoes were presented to parents, and Scouts and Guides received awards for their services. Saja Amina, assistant head-girl, welcomed the gathering, while Leonel Mathew, assistant head-boy, proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was conducted by Tanu Madvi, a teacher in the junior section. 

Ideal Indian School Gavel Club member Afrin Salma (Grade XII) topped the inspirational speech category of The Qatar Talk 2025 interschool speech competition.Her prizes included a trophy and cash prize of QR3,000. Indian ambassador Vipul presented the trophy. Joyal, Mohammad Mustafa S (both Grade XII) and Samridhi Panwar (Grade IX) were the other contestants from the school. Principal Shaik Shamim Saheb, Gavel Club counsellor Sajid Shamim, and teacher In-charge Anwar Sadath congratulated Afrin Salma and commended the other participants from the school. 

Ideal Indian School (IIS), organised a five-day orientation programme for its teachers, marking the start of the academic year with a renewed focus on professional growth, innovation, and well-being. The refresher course commenced with an address by principal Shaik Shamim Saheb, who oriented the faculty for the academic year 2025–26.Sessions were led by Dr Ambrin Siddiqui, Maninderjit Kaur, and Mohamed Mazher Yahya.The itinerary also included departmental meetings and section-wise meetings.The programme was co-ordinated by Girls' Section headmistress Khatija T C and assistant headmaster (academic affairs) Anwar Sadath.
