Serge Gnabry scored twice and Harry Kane inched closer to the Bundesliga single-season goal record as Bayern Munich beat Union Berlin 4-0 at home.Kane's second-half strike took him to 31 this campaign – the same number Union have scored all season – and 10 short of Robert Lewandowski's mark from 2020-21, with seven games to play. Michael Olise struck for the brilliant Bavarians."It's still possible, I just have to keep doing what I'm doing," Kane told reporters about the record. "All it takes is a hat-trick or a couple of braces in a row and then it'll look a bit more likely."Bayern have 97 goals this season, four short of the best mark set in 1971-72, when Franz Beckenbauer and Gerd Mueller helped the Bavarian giants tear through the Bundesliga. Coach Vincent Kompany made five changes from the side which thumped Atalanta on Wednesday to set up a Champions League quarter-final clash with Real Madrid, but kept Kane front and centre.Union, who had never beaten Bayern in 14 clashes, held out until the 41st minute, when Olise collected a punted Leon Goretzka pass and curled the ball into the top corner. Gnabry made it two just before the break, knocking in a rebound at the far post.Kane pirouetted and curled in Bayern's third just after the break, boosting his tally to 48 in 40 games in all competitions this season. Gnabry was again in the right place to volley in with 67 minutes gone to add gloss to another big Bayern win.Ramy Bensebaini scored two second half penalties as Borussia Dortmund came from two goals down to win 3-2 at home against promoted Hamburg and all but lock up second spot. Philip Otele and Albert Sambi Lokonga scored to put Hamburg two goals up at half-time, after Dortmund's Felix Nmecha missed a penalty just before the break.Bensebaini converted a penalty after 73 minutes to bring Dortmund back into the match and Serhou Guirassy hammered in a rebound while off balance five minutes later. With six minutes left, Jobe Bellingham tried a long-range effort which hit Miro Muheim's hand, bringing Bensebaini to the spot again. The Algerian nervelessly converted to bring Dortmund in front and put the hosts on track for victory.Second-placed Dortmund are 11 points clear of RB Leipzig in third but remain nine points behind leaders Bayern. Bayer Leverkusen's top-four hopes took a hit with a 3-3 draw at rock-bottom Heidenheim after leading 2-0 at half-time and 3-2 with five minutes remaining.The draw leaves Leverkusen sixth, four points behind Leipzig, Stuttgart and Hoffenheim, who are all level on 50 points. Stuttgart have a game in hand. "I'm speechless," goalkeeper Mark Flekken said. "We talked at half-time about not getting complacent."Hoping to bounce back from Tuesday's Champions League exit at Arsenal, first-half goals to Malik Tillmann and Patrik Schick had Leverkusen on course for a routine win. Heidenheim fought back through a Hennes Behrens goal and a Marvin Pieringer penalty. Schick once again gave Leverkusen the lead with a header but Pieringer levelled again from a corner with 85 minutes gone.Justin Njinmah scored the only goal as Werder Bremen won 1-0 at Wolfsburg to push their hosts closer to a first ever Bundesliga relegation. Second-last with just one victory in the calendar year, 2009 German champions Wolfsburg could be six points from safety if St Pauli beat Freiburg today.Elsewhere, Rhine rivals Cologne and Borussia Moenchengladbach played out a 3-3 draw. 

Harry Kane said Bayern Munich had nothing to fear in taking on Real Madrid after setting up a quarter-final clash with the European giants by beating Atalanta on Wednesday. Kane, who sat on the bench in the first leg, scored twice as Bayern won 4-1 on Wednesday, wrapping up a 10-2 aggregate victory to book a date with the 15-time European Cup winners. “We don’t fear anyone,” the England captain said of the Real match-up. “We know it’ll be tough, but with the confidence from this game and the season so far, we just need to keep doing what we’re doing.” Kane’s brace brought his career total to 50 goals in 66 Champions League games. This season, he has 47 goals in 39 games in all competitions -- more than he has ever scored for a club in a single season. Nine points clear in the Bundesliga with eight games to play, Bayern have lost just two of 41 games in all competitions this season. In his first season in Germany, Kane lost over two legs in the semi-finals against Real, who beat Bayern’s rivals Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley. Kane, who wore the captain’s armband at Bayern for the first time in the Champions League, suggested his side had learned from the defeat and knew how to take on Real. “Whenever you play Real Madrid in the Champions League, you have to expect a tough opposition, you have to be ready for a fight,” Kane said. “You have to be ready to try and play in a certain way, and we’ll be ready for that.” Bayern have not beaten the Spanish giants since the semi-finals of the 2011-12 competition. “Both clubs are giant,” Bayern manager Vincent Kompany said. “Who’s the best right now isn’t important -- the history of both clubs is huge It’ll be very special. Honestly speaking, with Madrid, when the level goes higher, then they get better. That’s why I’m expecting an absolute top game. It’ll be good for the fans – the neutral fans as well – but at the end we want to win.” 

Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany said his "biggest role" was preventing complacency as his undermanned side host Atalanta today sitting on a 6-1 first-leg lead.Despite being without striker Harry Kane, the Bundesliga leaders thumped Atalanta in Bergamo last Wednesday in their Champions League last-16 opener, racking up three goals in each half. No team in European Cup history has ever overturned a five-goal deficit in a second leg but Kompany took the responsibility of ensuring his injury-hit side know the job is not yet done."That's precisely my biggest role in a situation like this," Kompany told reporters. "The crucial foundation from which we have to work is a willingness to work, a willingness to run, and the joy of playing football, which we will also show."Bayern were reduced to nine men but dug deep to draw 1-1 at Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday and Kompany said the result would spur his men. "The result against Leverkusen was actually positive. It showed what kind of story our season could be. We don't have much room. I don't want to go into these games too laid back. But my greatest confidence is in this team."The six-time Champions League winners are odds-on to cruise into the quarter-finals but have been hard hit by injuries, particularly in goal. Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Ito are all injured, while Joshua Kimmich and Michael Olise are suspended.In goal, Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich are injured, while back-up Jonas Urbig is facing a race against time to return from a concussion sustained in Bergamo. If Urbig does not return, Kompany confirmed teenage debutant Leonard Prescott would be between the sticks.At 16 years and 191 days, Prescott would become the youngest goalkeeper in Champions League history, beating the current record set by Maarten Vandevoordt by more than a year. But Kompany said the 2009-born 'keeper was not showing any traces of nerves. "He's very calm," Kompany said, adding "if he plays tomorrow, he'll get our full backing, our full support."Kane returned off the bench against Leverkusen after missing two games and is in line to start on Wednesday.In the Champions League, Bayern's big first leg win over Atalanta means that the club is on track for a meeting with Real Madrid or Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. 

Harry Kane scored twice and Joshua Kimmich bagged a late winner as Bayern Munich came back to win 3-2 at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday and move 11 points clear in the Bundesliga.Bayern trailed at half-time after Nico Schlotterbeck headed Dortmund in front but Kane scored a tap-in and a penalty.Dortmund levelled through Daniel Svensson but Kimmich was in the right place to blast in from close range with three minutes remaining to leave Bayern as runaway favourites for the title.The result all but sews up another Bundesliga crown for the Bavarian giants with only 10 matchdays remaining, while continuing Dortmund's rough week, just days after their Champions League exit at Atalanta.Dortmund have now lost just twice in 24 league matches this season, both times to Bayern.Kane's fourth successive Bundesliga brace took him to 30 goals from 24 games this season.Bayern had played two fewer matches in the past 11 days but Dortmund looked the fresher early on as they chased a victory to move them five points behind the leaders.With 18 minutes gone, Schlotterbeck caught Josip Stanisic on the shin with his studs. Despite Bayern demanding the Germany defender see red, Schlotterbeck was shown a yellow card.The centre-back was in the thick of the action again just eight minutes later when he rose high to head in a Daniel Svensson corner and put Dortmund in front.Dortmund kept up the energy after the break but Bayern levelled things up against the run of play in simple fashion.Kimmich chipped the ball over the Dortmund defence, onto the head of Serge Gnabry who squared for Kane to score in the 54th minute.With just over 20 minutes remaining, Stanisic tussled with Schlotterbeck again and the Bayern player went down after the defender clipped his trailing leg, bringing Kane to the spot.The England captain converted to give Bayern the lead. Kane now has nine goals in his past five Bundesliga games, four of which have come from the penalty spot.Dortmund pushed forward in response and Marcel Sabitzer floated in a cross which Svensson swept home to give them hope on 83 minutes.Not content to play for a draw, Bayern sought the goal which would all but secure them the league title.That moment came as Kimmich did remarkably well to adjust his body and hammer in the decisive strike with his left foot after Dortmund had failed to adequately clear a Michael Olise cross in the 87th minute. Leverkusen grab pointFormer Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah scored with two minutes remaining to snatch Bayer Leverkusen a 1-1 home draw with Mainz.Leverkusen trailed after an excellent Sheraldo Becker goal but Quansah squeezed the ball in at the near post late on.The point moved Leverkusen, who have a game in hand to be played at Hamburg on Wednesday, three behind fourth-placed Stuttgart.Leverkusen looked leggy after a hard-fought scoreless Champions League draw with Olympiacos midweek, which sent them through to the last 16 where they will face Arsenal.Moments before half-time, Leverkusen right-back Arthur was stretchered off with what appeared to be a serious knee injury.Elsewhere, St Pauli's resurgence continued with a 1-0 win at high-flying Hoffenheim, with Mathias Pereira Lage's goal just before half-time the difference.Pauli have won three of their past four to climb out of the relegation spots, while third-placed Hoffenheim have picked up just four points in their past four games.Borussia Moenchengladbach's Kevin Diks converted a penalty four minutes into stoppage time to take his side to a crucial 1-0 win over Union Berlin.Gladbach's first win since early January took them three points clear of the relegation playoff spot.Fellow battlers Werder Bremen also picked up a crucial victory, winning 2-0 at home to last-placed Heidenheim to move out of the automatic relegation placings.Double winners in 2004, Bremen had picked up just four points in 13 games since their last win in early November, but won thanks to a Jovan Milosevic strike and a late Heidenheim own goal. 

Harry Kane scored his third straight Bundesliga brace as Bayern Munich beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-2 Saturday to move nine points clear of chasers Borussia Dortmund atop the table.Dortmund, who have won six consecutive Bundesliga matches, play at RB Leipzig in Saturday's late game.Aleksandar Pavlovic's low strike gave Bayern the lead and Kane added goals either side of half-time, before giving away a penalty converted by Germany forward Jonathan Burkardt with 13 minutes remaining.Bayern captain Joshua Kimmich gifted Frankfurt's Arnaud Kalimuendo a late goal with a poor pass but the hosts held on.Kane has now scored more than one goal in a match 13 times this season in all competitions.The England captain has netted 28 goals in 23 Bundesliga appearances and 43 in total this campaign.The only negative for Bayern was a second-half injury to wing-back Alphonso Davies.The Canada captain, who returned after eight months out with an ACL injury in December, clutched his ankle after a tackle and pulled his jersey over his face as he was substituted.Bayern earlier burst out of the blocks and Pavlovic broke through on 16 minutes.The Germany midfielder latched onto a failed clearance and blasted in a low shot, which slipped through Frankfurt goalkeeper Kaua Santos' fingers and trickled over the line.Kane doubled Bayern's lead four minutes later, heading in a corner from close range.The England captain added another midway through the second half, sneaking the ball just inside the post with his left foot.Burkardt's penalty looked a mere consolation until Kalimuendo jumped on Kimmich's mistake to cut Bayern's lead to one with four minutes remaining, but the hosts kept Frankfurt at arm's length in the final stages.Bayer Leverkusen's top-four hopes took a hit with a 1-0 defeat at Union Berlin, days after an impressive Champions League win at Olympiacos.Home captain Rani Khedira overpowered former Union midfielder Robert Andrich to pounce on a loose ball and hammer home in the 28th minute.The defeat leaves Leverkusen in sixth, three points behind fourth-placed Stuttgart.Elsewhere, third-placed Hoffenheim dropped points for just the second time in eight matches in a 2-2 draw at Cologne.Cologne took the lead thanks to an incredible bicycle kick from Ragnar Ache but Hoffenheim hit back either side of the break to take the lead thanks to goals from Ozan Kabak and Andrej Kramaric.Teenage winger Said El Mala put Cologne level with an excellent solo goal on 63 minutes and the hosts held on to grab a valuable point against the in-form visitors.Augsburg were behind twice but won 3-2 at Wolfsburg, with Elvis Rexhbecaj scoring in stoppage time to lift the visitors nine points clear of the relegation play-off place.
