Tyson Fury says his long-awaited heavyweight fight with Anthony Joshua "doesn't look like it's going to happen" in a rant at his British rival and promoter Eddie Hearn on Friday.Joshua and Fury are expected to meet in the 'Battle of Britain' on November 20 with Madison Square Garden in New York emerging as a likely location. But Fury accused Hearn of 'wanting more money' from Saudi boxing supremo Turki Alalshikh and funding other ventures off the back of the prospective Fury-Joshua fight.In a post on Instagram, Fury, 38, said: "Doesn't look like they're going to sign the fight, doesn't look like it's going to happen. All because Eddie Hearn and that want more money. "They have already had that much money off Turki (Alalshikh) over the last few years Eddie and AJ. They have had boxing deals, they have had darts deals, they have had snooker deals, they have had everything."And yet, they have got the audacity and cheek of flea-bitten rats to ask for more money from old Turki that you have had combined over the last couple of years." Hearn had revealed it was written into 36-year-old Joshua's contract that the fight had to be staged in Britain. However reports of an agreement to fight at New York emerged this week.Fury is threatening to fight a different opponent in November if an agreement with Joshua is not reached. 

Two-time heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua survived two early knockdowns on the way to a second-round knockout of Kristian Prenga on Sunday, his triumphant ring return paving the way for a blockbuster all-British bout with Tyson Fury.The fight at the Jeddah Superdome was Joshua's first since he was involved in a car crash in Nigeria in December that killed two of his close friends, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele.The 36-year-old choked up when asked in the ring about his friends and the emotions of the past seven months, but said his second-round revival was down to more than pure punching power."That was spirit, that was Latz, that was Sina. That was family," he said.The devastating accident occurred little more than a week after Joshua demolished YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in a controversial Netflix-backed bout in December.Joshua's last prior competitive appearance in the ring was his fifth-round knockout loss to IBF world champion Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium in September 2024.He improved to 30-4, with 27 wins by knockout, but not without drama.Albania's Prenga, a knockout artist who had 20 wins inside the distance in 21 prior fights, sent Joshua to the canvas with a right uppercut just 20 seconds into the bout.He had Joshua on the ropes again, his legs shaky, before sending him down a second time late in the first round.But Joshua steadied in the second, backing Prenga into the corner behind his jab, shrugging off more heavy blows from the Albanian before inflicting damage of his own with his left hand.A brutal combination capped by a big right finally sent Prenga crashing through the ropes to end it at 2:43 of the second round.Joshua and Fury now appear set for their "Battle of Britain" in November, at a venue still to be announced.Fury, like Joshua a former two-time heavyweight world champion, did his part to make the long-anticipated fight happen, stopping Mariusz Wach in a low-key bout in Pattaya, Thailand, on Friday.Fury, 37, outclassed Wach in front in the Thai resort city, chipping away relentlessly at the 46-year-old until he was pulled out by his corner in the seventh round.It was Fury's second win in as many contests this year in his return from a 16-month layoff. 'We're here now'Fury wasn't ringside in Jeddah as many had anticipated, but Joshua had a message for him even so."I'm gonna rip his heart out! I'm the meanest, most vicious champion that has ever been. Nobody can stop me," he said."All jokes aside, there's two sides of this thing," Joshua added. "One is fire. You have to have that vim, that (roar). But also, there's respect."I respect everything he has done and everything that he has achieved."But as a fighting person and someone who has been calling for this fight for a long time, we're here now."Promoter Eddie Hearn, also speaking inside the ring in the wake of the bout streamed on DAZN, said the contract to fight Fury was signed."Everything's done," Hearn said. "But to be honest with you, tonight is all about the strength that (Joshua) showed to even be here tonight, and the strength that he had to show in that fight."Hearn said that as the first round unfolded, he feared Joshua had come back too soon after the traumatic loss of his friends.But a beaming Joshua was bullish on the future."I can't be stopped," he said. "I'm not going to be stopped. I'm not going to be denied." 

Eddie Hearn says the long-awaited showdown between British heavyweight rivals Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua must take place in the UK under the terms of the fight deal signed three months ago.Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh reportedly wants to stage the fight -- which is expected to take place in October or November -- at a time that would attract the largest global audience.But were the fight to take place at Wembley Stadium, any plans to stage the bout with a 2:00 am (0200 GMT) start would require an exemption to the London venue's curfew restrictions.There is now talk the fight could take place at New York's Madison Square Garden.But Hearn, the promoter of Joshua, insists his man has signed up for a UK fight only and the contract would have to be renegotiated to move elsewhere."There's a reason we put contracts together," Hearn said after Joshua's second-round stoppage of Kristian Prenga in Jeddah on Saturday kept him on course for a Fury showdown, little more than 24 hours after fellow former world heavyweight champion had stopped Mariusz Wach in Thailand. 'FIGHT IN THE UK'He added: "We insisted that this fight was in the UK. I know that AJ will sometimes want to be a little bit of a peacekeeper, but the reality is he said to me, 'I want the fight in the UK. This is a British fight'. I can't agree more."Turki Alalshikh is our partner and has been an unbelievable supporter of Anthony Joshua...We would have conversations, but the only way the fight doesn't take place in England is if Anthony Joshua and myself agree to it because we have a legally binding contract that took a long, long time to negotiate"Let's be honest this is a fight for the British public."Joshua insisted Wembley, a 90,000 capacity stadium in north London best known as the headquarters of English football, was the only choice for his fight with Fury."When these conversations started, there was no other venue or location that was ever mentioned," he said. "It was simple. This is the road map. You fight, come back, fight, and then providing you're victorious, you'll be fighting Tyson Fury in the UK, basically Wembley."I wouldn't expect it to be at Tottenham (Hotspur Stadium) or the Principality Stadium (Cardiff) respectfully. It's just got that history when you think of Wembley."

Anthony Joshua has insisted his full focus is on Kristian Prenga when he makes his return to boxing on Saturday amid all the talk of a 'super fight' with fellow former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.Both Fury and Joshua are back in the ring this week for bouts against Poland's Mariusz Wach and Albania's Prenga, respectively, that are seen as must-win warm-up fights if their 'Battle of Britain' is to go ahead.Fury, 37, faces Wach in the Thai resort of Pattaya on Friday in what is effectively a charity contest, with no live broadcast, while compatriot Joshua, 36, is in action the following day in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.But Joshua told reporters in Jeddah late Thursday: "Look, respect my opponent here. We don't want to talk about Tyson Fury. Respectfully, I have done all the media that I can about what the future holds but you know our focus is him and his team. "We have been working since January, working hard, keeping my head down, aligned all my stars and I am fully focused. I understand there is a big picture. The goal is to conquer the universe, right? But first we must conquer earth. My target is here."Two-time heavyweight champion Joshua's bout with Prenga will be his first professional fight since being involved in a car crash in Nigeria in December that killed two of his close friends, Latif 'Latz' Ayodele and Sina Ghami.After the accident, there was doubt over whether Joshua would box again but promoter Eddie Hearn reached an agreement with Fury's camp for a bout that will only take place following this warm-up clash with Prenga."When you speak to me about what may lay ahead or I sit down in an office with Eddie and he presents to me what may lay ahead, it is a great opportunity for me to understand where this checkpoint takes me and what it leads me on to," Joshua said."The reality of the matter is there is no universe, there is no future unless I get past this checkpoint on Saturday night."  

British boxer Tyson Fury insisted on Wednesday that "the best is yet to come" ahead of a charity fight in Thailand, a warm-up to his long-awaited clash with Anthony Joshua."I don't feel like the world's seen the best Tyson Fury yet," said the former two-time world heavyweight champion, who turns 38 next month.Fury was speaking at an event in the Thai resort of Pattaya to promote his charity fight on Friday against Mariusz Wach, a 46-year-old Pole dubbed "The Viking".The fight in the 1,500-seat Max Muay Thai Stadium is widely viewed as a warm-up to the much-anticipated clash with fellow Briton Joshua expected later this year.But Fury said he did not want to talk about the Joshua fight, instead focusing on his presence in Thailand and saying that it left him feeling "rejuvenated"."I've been over here since December - beautiful place, beautiful people, great training facilities," he said."I feel at peace with everything, where before I had a lot of pressure on me... the rain wasn't good, I think I thrive better in obviously warmer climates."Fury marked his return from a 16-month retirement with a dominant points win over Russia's Arslanbek Makhmudov in April.He was scheduled to fight in Dublin on August 1, but said the opportunity arose to fight in Thailand "for a good cause". Proceeds from Friday's fight will go to a charity supporting underprivileged children in Pattaya.The venue is smaller than those Fury is used to, and the fight won't be broadcast live on television but will be recorded for his Netflix television series.Fury said he had "earned the right" to do what he wanted."Whoever I want to fight, from any sport, I can make that fight happen. Because I'm the Gypsy King, I do what I want," he said.He said his fights were "not about the money"."I'm boxing because I want to stay match fit and I enjoy doing it."Born into a family of Irish Traveller heritage in Wythenshawe in the Manchester suburbs, Fury turned pro in 2008.He famously dethroned long-reigning champion Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, and is known for his exceptional speed despite his towering size of 6 feet 9 inches (2.06m).Joshua, a two-time heavyweight champion, will fight Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.It will be his first return to the ring since being involved in a car crash in Nigeria in December that killed two of his close friends. 

Anthony Joshua has said he would not celebrate that a deal has finally been struck for a heavyweight clash with rival Tyson Fury until after he won."I'm not pleased because the pleasure really comes after victory," said Joshua. "Signing a contract doesn't mean anything. Winning is the only true success."The pair are heading for a long-awaited 'Battle of Britain', probably in November, but before both boxers are eyeing a warm-up fight.Joshua will face unheralded Albanian Kristian Prenga in Saudi Arabia on July 25 in his first bout since being involved in a car crash in Nigeria last December which killed two of his close friends.Fury last week posted a video in an Instagram story showing him back in training in Thailand alongside the caption: "Let's go August 1, Dublin, Ireland."Fury, 37, could take a place on a card being put together by veteran promoter Frank Warren in the Irish capital on that date.No opponent has yet been named, although Warren has ruled out Fury fighting Andy Ruiz Jr, who dethroned Joshua as world champion in 2019 before losing the rematch later that year. TIME TO GET BACKJoshua insisted it was time to get back to work as he prepares to take on little-known Prenga.The fight was originally scheduled to take place in Riyadh, but at their head-to-head press conference it was revealed it has been moved to Jeddah - Saudi Arabia's second largest city.The 36-year-old Joshua has not fought a meaningful opponent since being knocked out by Daniel Dubois in September 2024."What does boxing give me? It gives me an opportunity to work. I'm a contractor, this is a contract, this is my job so I've got an opportunity to work," Joshua said."You have to put a road map in front of a fighter and show them what is point one, point two, point three. It gives purpose and focus. I know what my year looks like."Give me the opportunity to fight Prenga, give me the opportunity to fight Fury, give me the opportunity to fight for the championship."It ain't about looking past anyone, it's just knowing your purpose and knowing your steps forward and moving up the ladder."I've got a clear goal, I know what this year is about, I know how tough this year is going to be. I've been training hard, that's my life." 

Former lineal heavyweight champion Tyson Fury said Sunday that he will come out of retirement this year for his first fight ‌since losing to Oleksandr Usyk in December ‌2024. Fury announced his ‍retirement after losing a rematch with Ukraine’s Usyk, who had won by split decision in their first bout to become the undisputed champion. Usyk ‍is the only boxer to beat Fury in the Briton’s professional career, which includes 34 wins, two losses, and one draw. “2026 is that year. Return of the Mac. Been away for a while but I’m back now, 37 years old and ‌still punching. Nothing better to do than punch men in the face & get paid for it,” Fury posted on Instagram. Fury, ‍nicknamed ‘The Gypsy King’, had previously spent ‌over two-and-a-half years away from the ring as he went through mental health struggles after his win over Wladimir Klitschko in 2015 to take the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles. He returned to action in 2018, and knocked out Deontay Wilder to win the WBC heavyweight belt in February 2020. Fury again announced retirement in 2022, only to come back six months ​later. In the past, fellow ‌Briton and former champion Anthony Joshua had called out Fury for a fight multiple times, ‍including after last month’s knockout win over Jake Paul. “If Tyson Fury is as serious as he thinks he is... step in the ring with me next, if you’re a real bad boy. Don’t do all that ​talking, AJ this, AJ that. Let’s see you in the ring and talk with your fists,” Joshua had said last month. Joshua recently spent a few days in hospital after suffering minor injuries in a car crash in Nigeria that killed two of his friends. He was discharged from hospital on Thursday, a day before police charged his driver with dangerous driving over the fatal collision.
