QIIB net profit reaches QR713mn in H1 with 3.5% growth rate

QIIB achieved a net profit of QR713mn in H1 2026 compared to QR689mn in H1 2025, representing a growth rate of 3.5%.Earnings per share (EPS) reached QR0.42. Total income reached QR1.61bn, while total assets reached QR63.8bn, representing a 5.4% growth rate by the end of H1 2026.Financing assets rose to QR44.1bn, a growth of 13.1%, while customer deposits reached QR43.1bn with a growth of 2.1%.QIIB vice-chairman and managing director Sheikh Abdullah bin Thani bin Abdullah al- Thani said, “The results for H1 2026 reflect the success of the strategy adopted by the board of directors, which is based on achieving balanced and sustainable growth while maintaining high levels of discipline in risk management, amid challenging global economic environment.“QIIB has maintained a balanced growth momentum, backed by the encouraging business environment and the high solvency that characterises the Qatari economy, particularly the promising opportunities it offers thanks to economic stability, prudent policies, and the wise guidance of the regulatory authorities.”QIIB CEO Dr Abdulbasit Ahmed al-Shaibei explained that the bank continued to enhance its outstanding operational efficiency, as the cost-to-income ratio stood at 19.7%.He said this remains one of the benchmark and outstanding ratios in the banking sector, confirming the bank’s success in improving operational efficiency, particularly with the increasing reliance on technological channels and digital banking solutions.With regard to asset quality indicators and the effectiveness of risk management policies, Dr al-Shaibei stated: “QIIB operates according to a proactive approach to risk management, as the non-performing financing (NPL) ratio remained at a low level of 2.54%, while the coverage ratio reached 100%, confirming the quality of the financing portfolio and the low levels of credit risk.”Dr al-Shaibei confirmed that the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) under Basel III requirements stood at 21.41% at the end of the H1 2026, exceeding the minimum limits required by regulatory authorities and the Qatar Central Bank. He said this reflects the robustness of the bank’s capital base and its high capacity to absorb various challenges and face potential risks with high resilience.He added: “The results for the H1 2026 confirm QIIB’s ability to achieve stable and sustainable performance, thanks to the diversification of income sources, the flexibility of our business model, and continuous innovation in services and products.“The past period witnessed the launch of several digital offers and services that received a wide positive response and enhanced our competitive position in the banking market.”

Barwa Real Estate reports net profit of QR239.7mn in Q1

Barwa Real Estate has reported net profit of QR239.7mn attributable to the shareholders of the parent in the first three months of this year compared to QR239.5mn the same period of the previous year.The earnings-per-share (EPS) amounted to QR0.0616 for the three-month ended March 31, 2026 against QR0.0615 during the same period of the previous year.

Qatar Insurance net profit up 9% to QR791mn in 2025

Qatar Insurance reported a net profit of QR791mn in 2025, up 9% year-on-year (y-o-y) from QR725mn.Earnings per share (EPS) for the period stood at QR0.188, a 10% y-o-y increase from QR0.171. Net profit before Pillar Two Taxes increased by 19% y-o-y to reach QR874mn.Gross Written Premiums (GWP) grew to QR9.9bn, a 9% increase compared to 2024, while Insurance Service Results (ISR) stood at QR506mn. The board of directors proposed a cash dividend distribution of 11% for the year ended 2025.Qatar Insurance manages a high-quality, well diversified investment portfolio with a stable y-o-y composition. In 2025, Assets Under Management remained stable y-o-y at QR18.6bn. Investment and Other Income rose by 1% y-o-y to QR993mn. The company also reported a robust Return on Investment of 5.1%, compared to 5.0% in 2024.Qatar Insurance Group chairman Sheikh Hamad bin Faisal al-Thani said, “2025 has been another excellent year for Qatar Insurance. On the results side, the company is again proud to deliver a double-digit bottom-line growth and higher earnings for shareholders, derived from a strong, balanced underwriting portfolio and expertly-managed investments.“On the client side, the company continues to trail blaze client-centricity and service and product excellence through its commitment to innovation and digital transformation, including through the integration of AI technologies.”Qatar Insurance Group CEO Salem al-Mannai said, “2025 saw QIC continuing to strategically rebalance its underwriting portfolio. The portfolio has now stabilised at a well-balanced level of core domestic and regional business versus international business in terms of risk diversification and is highly profitable.“We are fully focused on understanding our clients’ evolving needs, on innovation, and on providing a world-class customer experience, as evidenced by the launch of two further personal lines products in 2025 and ongoing enhancements made to the award-winning QIC App.”In alignment with Qatar Insurance’s long-term GCC growth strategy, the company has presented a comprehensive proposal to establish a branch operation in Saudi Arabia. Subject to regulatory approval, Qatar Insurance’s branch model will leverage the company’s technical infrastructure and regional expertise, while capitalising on supportive regulatory reforms, mandatory insurance frameworks and momentum from Saudi Vision 2030.
