Dreama launches 'Bader' Initiative to empower orphans, promote social responsibility

Coinciding with the celebration of World Children's Day, the Orphan Care Center Dreama, one of the centers operating under the umbrella of Qatar Social Work, announced the launch of its initiative 'Bader' during a ceremony held at the Wefaq Center Hall, with the attendance of several officials and partners.This pioneering initiative represents a strategic step to strengthen the concept of social responsibility and engage all segments of society in supporting and empowering orphaned children, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.The initiative carries the slogan 'Giving never fades... it leaves an impact,' reflecting the center's philosophy that true giving extends across generations and contributes to building a cohesive society that places orphan empowerment among its national and humanitarian priorities.The idea behind Bader is to establish a comprehensive interactive electronic platform that harnesses the skills and expertise of community members and directs them toward developing the abilities of orphaned children in diverse fields, including education, vocational training, artistic creativity, life skills, and handicrafts.The initiative seeks to achieve several strategic objectives, including empowering orphaned children and developing their personal and professional capacities, in addition to attracting community talents from various specialties to support Dreama's programs, and promoting the concept of voluntary giving as a deeply rooted national and social value.To achieve these goals, the initiative follows a clear mechanism: volunteers register through the unified electronic platform. Dreama's specialized team then reviews applications and carefully guides participants according to their expertise, ensuring alignment with the needs of orphaned children. Direct coordination with the Social Services Department will follow to monitor implemented initiatives, with periodic evaluation of their impact through field teams and comprehensive media documentation.On this occasion, Executive Director of Dreama, Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed Al-Thani, said that Bader initiative is launched to embody Dreama's vision of engaging society in shaping a bright future for the center's orphaned children."Through Bader, we invest positive energies and transform them into tangible developmental impact that qualifies our children for productive and independent lives, reinforcing giving as a deeply rooted social value," Sheikha Najla Al-Thani noted.For his part, Marketing and Public Relations Manager at Mwani Qatar, Hamad Ali Faraj Al Ansari, said, "Our participation in World Children's Day, along with the Orphan Care Center Dreama, reaffirms our deep commitment to supporting and nurturing children, who represent the cornerstone of a bright and sustainable future."He pointed out that caring for children is an investment in the next generation, and that developing their skills and potential is an investment in the nation and its ongoing progress.Bader initiative is a genuine launch toward sustainable community giving that immortalizes impact and drives change, affirming Dreama's success in mobilizing community energies to serve orphaned children within an organized institutional framework.

Dreama, QU campaign to empower orphans

Dreama Orphan Care Centre and Qatar University (QU), with the support of ExxonMobil Qatar, have launched a joint awareness campaign " To Thrive" to highlight the importance of empowering and integrating orphans into society. The aim is to spread awareness messages with a positive impact and mainly targets university students, administrative and teaching staff, and all members of society. QU students will carry out the campaign's activities, reflecting confidence in the abilities and creativity of young people to contribute to societal causes. Sheikha Najla bint Ahmed al-Thani, executive director of Dreama, said: "The campaign's motto stems from our belief that every individual is a flower capable of thriving if they have a supportive environment. We believe in the ability of the university's students to translate our goals into reality, and we invite everyone to be part of this positive change." Rashid bin Rashid al-Hajri, vice president and director of Public and Government Affairs at ExxonMobil Qatar, said: "The campaign represents a pioneering step towards enhancing community awareness of orphans' issues and embodies a successful model of partnership that harnesses the energies of youth and the potential of major institutions to build a brighter and more supportive future for all members of society.”
