DPS–Modern Indian School has once again demonstrated its mathematical excellence by securing a place among the top four finalists in the prestigious Pi Day Mathematics Competition 2026 (Preliminary Round), marking the school’s eighth consecutive year of outstanding performance in this national-level competition.Organised by Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, the Pi Day Mathematics Competition was introduced in 2016 aimed at inspiring high school students to deepen their mathematical understanding and engage in healthy academic competition.The 2026 preliminary round, held on February 14 witnessed participation from nearly 100 schools across Qatar, making the achievement even more commendable. Displaying exceptional analytical thinking, teamwork, and problem-solving skills, the students of DPS–Modern Indian School delivered an impressive performance to secure their place in the final round. The grand finale is scheduled to be held on March 14.Members of the finalist team are: Anish Sambara, Abhinand Sakalabhaktula, Praveen Manikandan, and Ritesh Vardhan Reddy, with Umasankar Sambara as their mentor. This remarkable achievement reflects the school’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence and its continuous efforts to nurture analytical thinking and competitive spirit among students. The consistent success of DPS–Modern Indian School in this esteemed competition reaffirms its position as a leading institution in fostering mathematical talent at both national and international levels. 

DPS-Modern Indian School conducted its annual Sport Day with great enthusiasm, showcasing student athleticism, discipline, and teamwork through a range of competitive and cultural sporting events.The event was inaugurated in the presence of chief guest Abdul Nasser, noted sportsperson, and guest of honour Yasir Nainar, president of the DPS Group of Institutions, along with members of the school management and leadership team.**media[418704]**Proceedings commenced with a synchronised March Drill and a March Past by the school’s four houses — Lily, Lotus, Rose, and Tulip — highlighting coordination and house spirit. Traditional displays including Leziem and Mallakhamb added cultural richness to the programme and were well received by the audience.**media[418705]**Students competed in track events such as the Relay Race and the 50-metre dash, with inter-house participation encouraging healthy competition and teamwork. Students who brought laurels to the school in the CBSE and national level sports competitions were felicitated at the event.**media[418706]**The celebration emphasised values central to sports education — discipline, resilience, and sportsmanship — aligning with the school’s focus on holistic student development. The Sport Day concluded successfully, reinforcing DPS Modern Indian School’s commitment to nurturing balanced growth through academic and co-curricular excellence. 

Igniting minds, inspiring curiosity, and celebrating creativity — Quest 2025–26: Explore. Design. Innovate, the multidisciplinary exhibition of DPS Modern Indian School for classes VI to IX, transformed the campus into a vibrant hub of ideas and innovation on January 14, 2026.The academic extravaganza kicked off with BETA BOT Version 1.0, the school’s latest innovation, unveiling this year’s theme: “Explore new horizons, design with purpose, and innovate for the future”. The project showcased the perfect synergy between human ingenuity and artificial intelligence.Chief guest Rocky Fernandes lauded the exhibition as a transformative journey of curiosity and hands-on learning, while principal Asna Nafees highlighted its alignment with NEP 2020 in nurturing life skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.Students engaged across subjects — English, Mathematics, Science, Computer Science, and Space and Robotics — tackling exciting challenges that blended learning with discovery. From captivating enactments and mind-bending word puzzles to working and static models, each of the nearly 350 exhibits reflected creativity, intellect, and academic depth.The enthusiasm and active participation of students made the event a resounding success, leaving a lasting impression on visitors and parents. 

Students of MES Indian School delivered an exceptional performance at the World Hindi Day celebrations, organised by the embassy of India in Qatar on January 10 at the DPS-Modern Indian School.The event witnessed the active participation of MES students representing various linguistic communities, who came together to showcase the richness and global significance of the Hindi language.**media[404612]**Their confidence, cultural insight, and linguistic prowess were prominently displayed through a series of engaging activities conducted by the embassy to promote Hindi as a global language.During the felicitation ceremony, department of Hindi co-ordinator Rajendran S and faculty member Bijimol were honoured with a shawl in recognition of their significant contributions to promoting the Hindi language among students.**media[404613]**Indian ambassador Vipul lauded their commitment to fostering linguistic appreciation and cultural enrichment through Hindi language.The programme also featured a well-crafted Hindi song, written by Rajendran S, which captured the cultural essence and literary value of the language. A video presentation, edited by Bijimol, added visual charm to the performance, earning admiration from the audience.The event highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing linguistic talents and promoting language and culture on international platforms, as well as its significant role in fostering cultural unity beyond borders.**media[404614]**A team of 15 teachers, eight students, and their parents represented MES Indian School at the programme.The co-ordination of MES activities was effectively carried out by Sameer Pandey and Namitha, under the leadership and guidance of Rajendran S.The celebration was a grand success, serving as a vibrant platform for artistic expression, cultural integration, and linguistic harmony. 

DPS Modern Indian School's silver jubilee celebrations witnessed the creation of a monumental mosaic artwork spanning 2,500sft and crafted by 2,500 students, celebrating Indo-Qatar friendship.The collaborative initiative ‘Silver Synergy’ earned recognition from the India Book of Records, and Asia Book of Records, while awaiting Guinness World Records decision.**media[395142]**Inspired by Qatar National Vision 2030 and a commitment to sustainability, the school repurposed cardboard cartons into individual panels. Guided by their art teachers, students from grades I-X painted each panel.The youngest artists, 212 Kindergarten students contributed hand prints.In the final stage, teachers and staff assembled the 2,500 painted panels on the basketball court, each square reflecting a story, a dream, and a fragment of the school’s spirit. 

DPS-Modern Indian School's team comprising Syed Sohbaan Raza, Mokshith Basineni and Kabir Khanna clinched three remarkable wins and secured the top team score among 60 teams in the QPSDL Boys Debate League. Raza also won the best speaker award in the first league and Kabir the fourth best speaker award. Principal Asna Nafees congratulated the debaters.
