Bayern Munich twice came from behind to draw 2-2 at Augsburg on Saturday after a mistake from Manuel Neuer led to the fastest goal in Bundesliga history.Neuer handed Augsburg the lead after 8.4 seconds with an error that Robin Fellhauer capitalised on, before two assists from Harry Kane helped resuce a point in the second half. Bayern missed the chance to knock Borussia Dortmund off top spot after the draw and remain two points behind the league leaders in second."It feels more like a defeat. On another day we would have won this game, but that's football. We gave away two sloppy goals and they punished us for it," Kane told Dazn.Augsburg could not believe their luck after 40-year-old Neuer's howler handed them the lead after just eight seconds. Having received the ball straight from kick-off, Neuer chipped it directly into the path of Fellhauer, who ran it into the empty net."We would have preferred a better start, but Manu has played football long enough. He can't change what happened, he just needs to do what he's always done in his career and keep on showing how good he is," Bayern coach Vincent Kompany told Dazn.The Bundesliga later confirmed the goal had beaten the previous record of nine seconds held jointly by Kevin Volland and Karim Bellarabi. "Those guys must have been really slow," Fellhauer told Sky with a laugh after the game."In all seriousness, it's an unbelievable feeling because a record like this means you're part of something really big."Bayern remained shellshocked for much of the first half and were lucky not to go 2-0 down when Juma Bah missed a sitter on 36 minutes. The visitors found the net shortly after the break when Augsburg 'keeper Finn Dahmen fumbled a brilliant volley from Luis Diaz, but the goal was ruled out for an offside in the build-up.Ismael Saibari broke Augsburg's resistance a few minutes later as the Moroccan slotted the ball home after an elegant assist from Kane. Yet the hosts struck back quickly, thanks in part to another off-colour moment from Neuer.After Augsburg unlocked the defence with a long ball forward, Neuer parried Calvin Brackelmann's shot straight at Rodrigo Ribeiro, who smashed the ball under the bar to restore the lead.Both Diaz and Serge Gnabry had goals ruled out for offside before Kane set up Nathaniel Brown for Bayern's second equaliser ten minutes from time.Leverkusen win thrillerIn Saturday's late game, RB Leipzig rampaged to a 6-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt thanks to a Christopher Nkunku hat-trick. Goals from Ezechiel Banzuzi and Nkunku put Leipzig 2-0 up within five minutes.Just as Frankfurt were getting back into the game, Nkunku added two more quickfire goals on the stroke of half time. Antonio Nusa swept in a fifth after the break and Tidiam Gomis ran through the Frankfurt defence to add a sixth late in the game.There was also drama elsewhere, as Bayer Leverkusen grabbed a rollercoaster 4-3 win in Mainz while Hamburg snatched a late 3-2 win away at Hoffenheim. Robert Andrich gave Leverkusen the lead with a superb volley after just five minutes, before Patrik Schick doubled the lead with a smart finish four minutes later. Anthony Caci dragged Mainz back into the game, scoring twice to level the scores before half time. Second-half goals from Jarell Quansah and Moussa Diaby put Leverkusen back in control, before Benedict Hollerbach grabbed a late third for Mainz.Yussuf Poulsen bundled in an early opener for Hamburg, before Fisnik Asllani jabbed home an equally scrappy equaliser for Hoffenheim.Bambase Conte put Hoffenheim in the lead with a brilliant shot from outside the area early in the second half, but a red card for his team mate Bernardo swung the game back in Hamburg's favour.The visitors had one late equaliser ruled out by VAR before Terem Moffi equalised with an 83rd minute header and Miro Muheim grabbed a stoppage-time winner.In Saturday's other games, goals from Jeff Chabot and Chris Fuehrich sealed a comfortable 2-0 win for Stuttgart at Paderborn, while Livan Burcu struck late to hand Union Berlin a nervy 1-0 win at home to Elversberg. 

Freiburg missed a chance to return to the top of the Bundesliga table on Saturday, after being held to a 2-2 draw at Eintracht Frankfurt.Bayern Munich's ruthless 7-0 win over Union Berlin on Friday put the Bavarians ahead of Freiburg atop the table, but the Black Forest outfit failed to respond as they dropped points for the first time this season to remain second in the table.Several new members of Germany coach Jurgen Klopp's 44-man squad shone on both sides in a see-sawing encounter.Frankfurt's Younes Ebnoutalib finished off a lovely team move to score 10 minutes in, just days after celebrating a surprise maiden Germany call-up.Derry Scherhant, another of Klopp's lesser-known new additions, levelled things up for Freiburg but Jonathan Burkardt edged Frankfurt back in front.Scherhant created a second for Yuito Suzuki to grab Freiburg a point and leave them level with Bayern on 10 points.Freiburg's Philipp Treu, another member of Klopp's new-look Germany squad, told media: "Of course, I would have liked to join the national team as the league leader -- with my head held high."But now we're the hunters again. And we enjoy that, too."Borussia Dortmund can move past both to the top of the table with a win away at Stuttgart in Saturday's late game.West Ham loanee Niclas Fuellkrug continued his stunning form on his return to Germany, scoring for a third-straight Bundesliga match as hosts Werder Bremen came from two goals down to win 3-2 against Augsburg.Fuellkrug levelled things up with a blistering long-range effort in the 86th minute, before former Bayern defender Mitchell Weiser blasted in a winner in stoppage time.Elsewhere, Hamburg notched their first goal, win and points of the season in a comfortable 2-1 home victory over Cologne.Albert Gronbaek laid on goals for Nicolas Capaldo and Yussuf Poulsen to help the hosts, one of the historical giants of German football, drag themselves off the bottom of the table.Hamburg climbed past Borussia Moenchengladbach, who lost their fourth straight game in a wild 4-3 defeat by visitors Mainz.Just days after bidding farewell to sacked coach Eugen Polanski, things went from bad to worse for the hosts. Gladbach also missed a penalty in the defeat and are now the only Bundesliga side without a point after four matchdays. 

Felix Nmecha scored twice and Fabio Silva grabbed another as Borussia Dortmund won 3-0 at home to promoted Paderborn to continue their perfect start in the Bundesliga on Saturday. Dortmund's win made it three from three in the league this campaign, their best start in 11 seasons dating back to Thomas Tuchel's time in the dugout.Starting up front alongside strike partner Serhou Guirassy for the first time this season, Silva converted a clever pass from the Guinean to give the hosts the lead after five minutes. Guirassy had two goals disallowed for offside in the first half alone but were rarely troubled by the toothless visitors, who are yet to score since returning to the top flight this season.Substitute Nmecha came off the bench to score a brace, wrapping up victory for the hosts with a stunning late bicycle kick. Dortmund captain Nico Schlotterbeck made a surprise for his first match since picking up an ankle injury at the World Cup and told Sky Germany he kept his comeback under wraps."We just hadn't communicated that much yet because I didn't want to," Schlotterbeck said, adding "I missed it terribly. It was a serious injury but I'm glad to be back now."Dortmund coach Niko Kovac also revealed that winger Konstantinos Karetsas, who was stretchered off the pitch with a cardiovascular issue in Tuesday's Champions League win over Villarreal, had returned to training."Fortunately, nothing unusual was found. If things keep going well, he could be back against Stuttgart (next Saturday)," Kovac told reporters.Elsewhere, Europa League finalists Freiburg thumped a poor Borussia Moenchengladbach 5-0 at home to climb to the top of the Bundesliga standings. Yannik Engelhardt and Igor Matanovic netted twice each and Maximilian Eggestein added a late fifth as the hosts sent Gladbach, who finished with 10 men, to the foot of the table.A 2-2 home draw with Bayer Leverkusen ended Augsburg's short stint at the top. Augsburg were top after the last matchday for the first time in their history but were held by 2023-24 double winners Leverkusen despite a double from Michael Gregoritsch.Eintracht Frankfurt won their first match of the campaign with a 3-1 victory away at neighbours Mainz, with Can Uzun bagging a brace either side of a Jonathan Burkardt goal. Frankfurt goalkeeper Noah Atubolu kept his remarkable penalty saving record alive when he stopped a first-half effort from Germany midfielder Nadiem Amiri.Atubolu's save was his sixth in a row, extending his own Bundesliga record. Hoffenheim won 2-1 at home against Stuttgart thanks to a brace from Adam Hlozek. In Saturday's late game, Cologne host Werder Bremen. On Sunday, Bayern Munich travel to promoted Elversberg while RB Leipzig host Hamburg. 

Defending champions Bayern Munich were held to a scoreless draw by promoted Schalke in the Bundesliga on Saturday. The draw ended Bayern's run of 67 consecutive matchdays atop the Bundesliga table. It was the first time they failed to score since February 2025.Seven-time German champions Schalke have not beaten Bayern since 2011 and had not even taken a point off the Bavarian giants in nine years -- a run of 12 straight defeats. "That's who we are. That's what defines us, and everyone can be proud of their performance today," said the impressive Schalke goalie Loris Karius, who was named man of the match.The former Liverpool 'keeper deflected the post-match praise to his defenders, telling Sky Germany: "I just had to shout instructions to the lads: keep going, push up, drop back." With Harry Kane and Michael Olise starting from the bench, Bayern dominated the ball but created few clear chances as stubborn Schalke dug deep to pick up their first point of the season.Luis Diaz had an excellent chance with 54 minutes gone when through on the advancing Karius, but the Colombian's chip was too soft and was cleared off the line by Robin Gosens. Bayern's best chance came late when a long-range Kane effort was kept out by an excellent save from Karius, who leapt high to palm the ball to safety.His opposite number, Bayern captain Manuel Neuer was heavily booed by home fans every time he touched the ball on his return to the club where he started his career. It will likely be the 40-year-old's final match in Gelsenkirchen, his home town, before his expected retirement at the season's end."A win would have been nice," Neuer said, adding "but some of my family will be happy about the result and so it's okay as it is. I enjoyed myself." Despite the defeat, Bayern will be buoyed by the return of Jamal Musiala, who revealed he is suffering from a neurological condition after collapsing in pre-season games. Nwaneri helps Dortmund on debutArsenal loanee Ethan Nwaneri provoked a late own goal as Borussia Dortmund came from two down to win 3-2 at Hoffenheim. Hoffenheim were the better team for the opening hour but lost their way as Dortmund clicked into gear and romped to victory with three goals in the final 30 minutes.Nwaneri, the youngest player in Premier League history, arrived on a season-long loan from Arsenal on deadline day and came on with half an hour played. "I liked what I saw," Dortmund coach Niko Kovac said of Nwaneri. "That's what we brought him in for... Maybe it wasn't officially his goal, but he created it.""The team played all or nothing football," Kovac added. "And when you (do that)... the gaps start opening up." Hoffenheim were two up with 54 minutes played thanks to goals from Leon Avdullahu and Tim Lemperle.Striker Serhou Guirassy gave the visitors hope when he scored just after the hour mark and then set up Fabio Silva five minutes later. In the 86th minute, Nwaneri cut down the left and squared a shot which took a big deflection off home defender Albian Hajdari and landed in the net.Bundesliga newcomers Elversberg continued their excellent top-flight arrival with a 4-3 win at Borussia Moenchengladbach, making it two wins from two this season. Elversberg fought back from 3-1 down and took the lead in stoppage time when Maurice Krattenmacher scored the winner. Elversberg, with a population of just 13,000, are the smallest town ever to have a German top-flight side but opened the season with a shock 3-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen last week. Leverkusen rebounded from that disappointment by putting sorry Union Berlin to the sword in a 4-0 home victory, with Argentina internationals Equi Fernandez and Facundo Medina, Patrik Schick and Ibrahim Maza on target.Elsewhere, West Ham loanee Niclas Fuellkrug scored his second goal in three games since returning to Germany to help Werder Bremen to a surprise 3-1 home win against RB Leipzig. Europa League finalists Freiburg continued their perfect start to the season with a solid 1-0 win away at promoted Paderborn. 

Harry Kane scored his 32nd goal of the campaign as Bayern Munich cruised to a 4-2 home win over Stuttgart to claim a record-extending 35th Bundesliga title. Raphael Guerreiro, Nicolas Jackson and Alphonso Davies joined Kane on the scoresheet, while Chris Fuehrich and Chema Andres scored for the visitors. Borussia Dortmund’s limp 2-1 defeat at Hoffenheim on Saturday, their second in two matches, left the door open for Bayern, who only needed a point at home to secure the title with four games to spare. “It’s been a fantastic season for us,” said Bundesliga leading scorer Kane. “To finish the league off in the way we have with the goals we scored... credit to the lads... we still have a lot to play for... but all the hard work, this makes it all ​worth it.” Coach Vincent Kompany left regular starters Kane, Michael Olise, Manuel Neuer, Aleksandar Pavlovic, Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah on the bench with Wednesday’s German Cup semi-final at Bayer Leverkusen in mind. Bayern fell behind when Chris Fuehrich scored with 21 minutes gone but roared back, scoring three goals in seven minutes. Jamal Musiala created Guerreiro’s opener before Luis Diaz laid on two goals in four minutes for Jackson and Davies to grab control of the match by the break. Kane grabbed another early in the second-half to ensure another Bundesliga crown was quickly added to his burgeoning team trophy collection. With victory secure, Bayern took their foot off the pedal as an assistant brought bags full with ‘2026 Champions’ t-shirts to the sideline. Andres added a late goal for Stuttgart with two minutes remaining but Bayern were on cruise control with title celebrations in mind. The title victory once again illustrated Bayern’s modern and historical dominance of German football. The Bavarian giants have now won 13 of the past 14 Bundesliga titles. Bayern have 35 league titles, with no other team reaching double figures. Bayern’s wealth and influence outshines all of their domestic rivals and this season has been truly remarkable. Bayern have scored 109 goals, the most in Bundesliga history and eight more than the previous record set back in 1971-72, with four games remaining. Free-scoring Bayern have 79 points and a goal difference of 80. If the season ended today, Bayern would become the first team to have a greater goal difference than points tally in Bundesliga history. With four wins in their remaining four games, Bayern could bring up 91 points, equalling the best mark set by their treble-bound side in 2012-13. Then there are the individual records. Kane, who became the first Englishman since 1930-31 to reach a half-century of goals in a season in all competitions on Wednesday, can still reach Robert Lewandowski’s single-season goals record of 41. The England captain has 32 goals from his 27 games this campaign and is in with an outside chance of catching Lewandowski. Michael Olise has 18 assists, three shy of the all-time mark set by Thomas Mueller in 2019-20. Earlier, Freiburg pushed last-placed Heidenheim closer to the drop with a 2-1 home win. Johan Manzambi put the Europa League semi-finalists ahead after 24 minutes but Heidenheim’s Budu Zivzivadze levelled things up just before the hour mark. Freiburg’s Maximilian Eggestein scored the winner with seven minutes remaining to help his side leapfrog Eintracht Frankfurt into seventh spot. The defeat leaves Heidenheim, who hosted Chelsea in the Europa Conference League last season, seven points behind the relegation play-off spot and 11 from safety with four games to play. 

Bayern Munich edged closer to the Bundesliga title after Borussia Dortmund lost 2-1 at Hoffenheim, while pioneering Union Berlin coach Marie-Louise Eta was beaten on her debut.Second-placed Dortmund’s defeat leaves Bayern, who host Stuttgart Sunday, 12 points clear with a game in hand. The defending champions need just a point to claim their 35th German title. Club record goalscorer Andrej Kramaric converted two penalties, bringing his career total to 156 for Hoffenheim, to help the hosts move past Bayer Leverkusen into fifth spot. Unlike Dortmund, who have all but locked up second place, Hoffenheim still have plenty to play for as they chase a Champions League berth, and dominated proceedings in the opening half. Just before the break, Dortmund defender Niklas Suele fell awkwardly in the box and handled the ball. Kramaric converted the penalty as Suele was helped from the pitch with a knee injury. Substitute Serhou Guirassy pulled one back for the visitors but Hoffenheim were awarded another penalty in stoppage time, which Kramaric once more dispatched to grab victory. Dortmund have now lost their past two matches, having previously suffered just two defeats across the entire campaign. New Union coach Eta, the first female manager of a men’s team in the top five European leagues, suffered a setback on her debut, going down 2-1 at home to relegation battlers Wolfsburg. Appointed on an interim basis until the end of the season, Eta received a rapturous response from the home crowd when her name was announced pre-match. Union were quickly on the back foot when Patrick Wimmer scored after 11 minutes. Dzenan Pejcinovic added another just after the break to help Wolfsburg move two points behind St Pauli in the relegation play-off spot and six from safety. Union’s Oliver Burke scored a late goal but despite the defeat, the Berliners remain six points ahead of the relegation play-off spot with four games left to play this season. Leverkusen dropped to sixth after losing 2-1 at home against mid-table Augsburg. Patrik Schick headed Leverkusen in front after 12 minutes but Augsburg pegged them back just three minutes later when Fabian Rieder’s shot took a deflection off Jarell Quansah and went in. Rieder converted a penalty in the seventh minute of stoppage time to deal a hammer blow to Leverkusen’s top-four hopes. Elsewhere, Werder Bremen picked up crucial points in the battle to beat the drop, winning 3-1 at home to northern rivals Hamburg, who finished the match with nine men. Jens Stage bagged a double either side of a Robert Glatzel strike. Cameron Puertas added a late goal to help Bremen move five points clear of the bottom three and level with Hamburg. RB Leipzig moved five points clear of fifth spot with a 3-1 win at Eintracht Frankfurt. 

Bayern Munich romped to a 5-0 win at St Pauli Saturday, breaking a 54-year Bundesliga goalscoring record and moving to within touching distance of a 35th league crown. Leon Goretzka’s 53rd-minute goal, Bayern’s second of the match, brought up 102 league goals this season, breaking a previous mark set by the Bavarian giants in 1971-72. Top scorer Harry Kane was left on the bench but Jamal Musiala, Michael Olise, Nicolas Jackson and Raphael Guerreiro joined Goretzka on the scoresheet as Bayern pulled 12 points clear of Borussia Dortmund, who lost to Bayer Leverkusen earlier on Saturday. With five matches remaining this season, defending champions Bayern can win the title as early as next week at home against Stuttgart. Mindful of Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final second leg against Real Madrid, Bayern left Kane, Luis Diaz, Dayot Upamecano and Jonathan Tah on the bench. The missing firepower mattered little as Musiala headed the visitors in front with nine minutes gone. Early in the second half, Goretzka turned the ball in from close range to best a record the Bavarians set over half a century ago with a side featuring club legends Franz Beckenbauer and Gerd Mueller. Olise added another just a minute later. Kane replacement Jackson got one of his own and Guerreiro scored late to round out the victory and up the record to 105. Robert Andrich hit a long-range strike late in the first half as Leverkusen became just the second team to beat Dortmund in the league this season with a 1-0 away victory. Dortmund, whose two previous defeats this season came against Bayern, remain eight points clear in second place despite their four-game winning streak coming to an end. A day after extending his deal at the club to 2031, Nico Schlotterbeck received a smattering of boos and whistles from the home fans amid reports he had a release clause for this summer inserted into his contract. “We’re really happy Schlotti extended,” centre-back partner Waldemar Anton told DAZN. “He didn’t deserve the boos. That hurts the team, everyone in the stands needs to know that. It’s nonsense and it’s not something we can accept.” Stoic and risk averse under coach Niko Kovac, Dortmund were uncharacteristically fluid in attack in the opening half hour but Andrich broke through for the visitors in simple fashion. The Germany midfielder intercepted a Ramy Bensebaini pass and took a touch before blasting a low shot into the bottom corner past Dortmund goalkeeper Gregor Kobel. Dortmund’s best chance came with seven minutes remaining when Serhou Guirassy collected a Carney Chukwuemeka pass and hit the underside of the crossbar. Yan Diomande’s 81st-minute effort boosted RB Leipzig’s hopes of a top-four finish, securing a 1-0 home win over Borussia Moenchengladbach. Diomande’s late winner lifted third-placed Leipzig three points clear of Stuttgart, who face Hamburg at home on Sunday, with Leverkusen a point further back in fifth. The goal continued the 19-year-old’s impressive debut Bundesliga season, in which he has scored 11 times. Leipzig captain David Raum praised the teenage winger, calling him “a player with world-class potential”. Gladbach ultras unveiled a banner directed at academy product and captain Rocco Reitz, who will join Leipzig in the summer, which said: “Whoever wants what’s here can never be our skipper.” Elsewhere, Wolfsburg lost 2-1 at home to Eintracht Frankfurt to slide closer to relegation. Goals from Oscar Hojlund and Arnaud Kalimuendo left second-last Wolfsburg, who have won just once in 14 games in 2026, six points from safety. Last-placed Heidenheim kept their slim hopes of beating the drop alive with a 3-1 home win over Union Berlin. The victory, Heidenheim’s first since early December, took them two points behind Wolfsburg and eight from fourth-bottom Cologne. 

Jamie Leweling grabbed a first-half brace and Deniz Undav scored again as Stuttgart cruised to a 4-0 home victory over Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga Sunday. Nikolas Nartey scored in stoppage time as the German Cup holders drew level with third-placed Hoffenheim on 46 points. Stuttgart are five points ahead of fifth-placed RB Leipzig, who play at Hamburg in Sunday’s late game. Leweling praised coach Sebastian Hoeness, who reached 100 Bundesliga games as Stuttgart manager. “He developed me into the player I am today. He helped me a lot, gave me a lot of confidence,” said Leweling. “I think I’ve been repaying him with my performances - of course not always with two goals every game.” Wolfsburg, who haven’t been relegated since promotion to the Bundesliga in 1997, have won just one of their last 10 games and now sit second bottom, three points from safety. Stuttgart welcomed the Wolves to south-western Germany fresh from beating Celtic 4-2 over two legs to reach the Europa League last 16, where they will face Porto. Undav pounced on a poor clearance to put Stuttgart ahead with his 14th league goal after 21 minutes. Chris Fuehrich found Leweling on the half-hour mark to double Stuttgart’s lead and the Germany winger scored again just before half-time, volleying in from the right side of the box. Stuttgart added a fourth late on as Nartey scored with the final kick of the match. Goals from Fares Chaibi and Jean-Matteo Bahoya took Eintracht Frankfurt to a 2-0 home win over Freiburg, lifting the hosts past the visitors into seventh spot. Chaibi snuck a low shot into the bottom corner with 64 minutes gone. With nine minutes remaining, the Algerian passed to Bahoya who guided the ball over Freiburg’s Noah Atubolu and into the net. Frankfurt have now nabbed seven points from four matches since Spaniard Albert Riera took over as manager, with their only loss coming at league leaders Bayern Munich.

Michael Olise scored twice and set a Bundesliga assist record as Bayern Munich crushed Wolfsburg 8-1 to go 11 points clear at the top of the table.The Bavarians were ruthless in their return from the winter break, forcing the struggling Wolves into two own goals while Harry Kane, Luis Diaz, Leon Goretzka and Raphael Guerriero also got on the scoresheet.Unbeaten Bayern have now dropped just four points in 16 Bundesliga games this season, the best record in Europe’s top-five leagues. Olise’s two assists brought his tally to 25 in 50 league games, more than any other player to have played a half-century of Bundesliga matches.The victory extended Bayern’s dominant record against Wolfsburg, with 21 wins at two draws in their past 23 games in all competitions dating back to 2015. Bayern’s last league defeat against Wolfsburg came in January 2015, when a 23-year-old Kevin de Bruyne scored twice and laid on another in a 4-1 win for the Wolves six months before his move to Manchester City.Wolfsburg’s hopes of bucking the recent trend took an early hit when Killian Fischer deflected a Diaz cross into his own net. One-time Bayern academy player Dzenan Pejcinovic pulled one back for the Wolves but their celebrations were short-lived, with Olise assisting Diaz on the half-hour mark.Bayern continued the rampage early in the second half, with Olise scoring and forcing Wolfsburg’s Moritz Jenz into conceding another own goal inside the space of three minutes. Guerreiro, Kane and Olise all scored inside an eight-minute period midway through the second half while Goretzka added another with two minutes remaining to round out the rout.Goretzka’s goal was Bayern’s 63rd league goal this season, more than any other side has scored in the first 16 matchdays in Bundesliga history.Kane’s strike was his 20th in the league this campaign, keeping him on track to beat Robert Lewandowski’s record of 41 in a Bundesliga season. Earlier on Saturday, Haris Tabakovic bagged a brace as Borussia Moenchengladbach cruised to a 4-0 home win over Augsburg.
