PM meets Egypt's foreign minister

His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani met Sunday with Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Dr Badr Abdelatty.**media[426392]**The meeting addressed the developments of the military escalation in the region and its serious repercussions on regional and international security and stability, along with ways to resolve all disputes peacefully.It also discussed strengthening Arab co-ordination to confront current challenges.During the meeting, HE Sheikh Mohammed reiterated the condemnation of the Iranian attacks on Qatar’s territory, and that they are unacceptable under any pretext or justification, noting that Qatar has always been keen to stay away from regional conflicts and has sought to facilitate dialogue between the Iranian side and the international community.Dr Abdelatty called for de-escalation, reason to prevail, and a return to negotiations and diplomatic means to avoid further chaos.His Excellency the Minister of State at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh al-Khulaifi meanwhile received a telephone call Sunday from China’s special envoy Zhai Jun.During the call, they discussed regional developments and ways to resolve all disputes peacefully.Zhai expressed his country's solidarity with Qatar.

Al-Khulaifi meets Egyptian FM

His Excellency the Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh al-Khulaifi met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Expatriates of Egypt Dr Badr Abdelatty. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral co-operation and ways to support and enhance it. They also addressed the latest developments in the region, particularly in the Gaza Strip, the occupied Palestinian territories, and Lebanon, as well as efforts to de-escalate regional tensions, in addition to a number of issues of common interest.

Egyptian FM, Palestine Vice President discuss Gaza truce efforts

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a phone call Saturday with Palestinian Vice President, Hussein Al Sheikh to discuss the latest developments related to efforts aimed at ending the war in the Gaza Strip.The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that Abdelatty expressed hope that international efforts would soon lead to a complete cessation of hostilities. He emphasized that ending the war would help alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza and improve access for humanitarian aid.He underscored the urgent priority of halting the war, ensuring that the Palestinian people remain on their land without displacement, and rejecting any plans to annex Palestinian territories. He also stressed the importance of preserving the territorial unity of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, initiating early recovery efforts, and beginning the reconstruction of Gaza.For his part, Vice President Al Sheikh highlighted the importance of leveraging the positive momentum created by the recent proposal from US President Donald Trump to end the war in Gaza. He noted that such momentum could be key in putting an end to the humanitarian catastrophe the Strip has endured for the past two years.

His Excellency Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met on Thursday with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt Dr. Badr Abdelatty.During the meeting, they discussed the cooperative relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, and the latest developments in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, particularly the updates on the joint mediation to end the brutal war on the Strip, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, affirmed, during the meeting, the State of Qatar's aspiration to elevate relations with the Arab Republic of Egypt to broader horizons of cooperation and partnership between the two countries.Both sides renewed their affirmation of the continued joint efforts within the framework of mediation to end the war in Gaza, ensure the protection of civilians, secure the release of prisoners and detainees, and facilitate the flow of humanitarian aid to address the catastrophic situation in the Strip.
