His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting at the Amiri Diwan on Thursday, where they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support them across various fields, in addition to discussing regional developments and efforts to achieve peace and stability for the benefit of all peoples of the region. At the outset of the meeting, HH the Amir welcomed the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the accompanying delegation, expressing his pleasure with this visit, which reflects the depth of relations between the two countries. For his part, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, reiterated the Islamic Republic of Pakistan's full solidarity with the State of Qatar and its people, and its support for all measures that Qatar may take to preserve its sovereignty and territorial integrity. He stressed that the blatant Israeli attack constitutes a violation of Qatar's sovereignty, contravenes all international laws and norms, and undermines the security, stability, and prospects for peace in the region. He commended the efforts of HH the Amir to achieve peace and stability in the region. In this regard, HH the Amir voiced his deep appreciation to the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan for his solidarity, sincere fraternal feelings, and his country's supportive stance toward the State of Qatar and its people. During the meeting, HH the Amir and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual concern, particularly the current situation in the Middle East. The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening dialogue and diplomatic solutions as the optimal way to overcome regional crises and maintain regional and global security. The meeting was attended by His Excellency Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi, and a number of their senior officials. On Pakistan's side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Minister of Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar, and a number of senior official members of the accompanying delegation. Following the meeting, HH the Amir and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan held a bilateral meeting during which they exchanged views and opinions on a number of issues of mutual interest.

The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) has welcomed the Gulf bourses' unified investor relations' (IR) guideline 2025, saying it is expected to enhance the collective ability to attract quality institutional investments at the local, regional, and international levels.The GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) Financial Markets Committee launched the GCC exchanges unified investor relations’ guideline 2025.This guide aims to unify investor relations practices across the region, enhancing the quality and transparency of investor-focused communication in alignment with the global standards."We highly value this pioneering strategic initiative, which reflects the spirit of genuine cooperation and true integration among GCC financial markets, and represents a qualitative leap in the development of a unified and advanced investor relations framework in the region," said Abdulla Mohammed al-Ansari, chief executive officer of QSE.The issuance of this unified guide is a pivotal step toward embedding the highest standards of transparency, governance, and disclosure in financial markets, thereby enhancing our collective ability to attract quality institutional investments at the local, regional, and international levels, according him.The unified IR guideline provides listed companies with a structured framework for implementing transparent communication, effective disclosure, ESG or environmental, social and governance integration, and strategic stakeholder engagement.It is designed to support establishing credible investor relations functions and to strengthen engagement with both regional and international capital markets.The GCC financial markets committee, comprises Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange Group, Dubai Financial Market, Bahrain Bourse, Saudi Exchange, Muscat Stock Exchange, QSE, and Boursa Kuwait.The committee aims to support the growth of regional capital markets, create an advanced capital market ecosystem in the GCC region, and elevate their position on the global stage.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met Monday with British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper to discuss the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and bilateral relations between Palestine and the United Kingdom. During the meeting, Abbas outlined key Palestinian priorities, including an immediate and lasting ceasefire, unrestricted access for humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, the release of hostages and detainees, the withdrawal of occupying forces, and the launch of early recovery and reconstruction efforts. He reiterated that Gaza is an integral part of the State of Palestine and affirmed that the Palestinian government will assume full responsibility for the territory, with support from Arab and international partners.

HE the Minister of State for Energy Affairs, Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi met in Doha today Mohammed al-Bashir, Energy Minister of the Syrian Arab Republic. Discussions during the meeting dealt with energy relations and cooperation between Qatar and Syria and means to enhance them.

"We should be committed to mutual respect and win-win co-operation to advance China-Qatar relations to new heights as China and Qatar are both peace-loving countries," stressed the Chinese Charge d’Affaires Wang Ying on Thursday at the Chinese Embassy Doha.She pointed out that "under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa al Thani, the China-Qatar strategic partnership has gone through an 11-year golden period of development. Currently, the China-Qatar relationship is at its highest level in history and has become a model of friendly co-operation between countries."She noted that "China and Qatar have supported each other on issues which bear on our respective core interests and major concerns, and in pursuing development paths which suit our national conditions."Further, "the bilateral trade volume increased from $10.6bn in 2014 to $24.22bn in 2024, marking a growth of over 128%. Since 2020, China has remained Qatar’s largest trading partner and top export destination for five consecutive years. China-Qatar co-operation features a strong complementarity and delivers tangible benefits to the people of both countries," she said.In the meantime, she noted that "both China and Qatar are advocating for justice on the Gaza conflict, as we are jointly working to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people. Since the Gaza conflict erupted, Qatar has been actively participating in mediation, and successfully helped achieve ceasefire agreements and release of hostages twice. The international community highly appreciates Qatar's tireless efforts in striving for peace and alleviating humanitarian crisis."She further pointed out that China has upheld an objective and fair position, and been committed to safeguarding peace and lives. China pushed for the adoption of the first resolution of ceasefire in Gaza by the United Nations Security Council, facilitated the reconciliation dialogue and the signing of the Beijing Declaration by the 14 Palestinian factions, and deliveredmultiple batches of humanitarian assistance to Gaza.The Chinese Chargé d’Affaires in Doha stressed that "The humanitarian crisis in Gaza must not continue, and the Palestinian question must not be marginalized once again. The legitimate aspirations of the Arab nation should be fulfilled as soon as possible, and the just voice of the vast Islamic world must be heeded. The “two-state solution” remains the only viable way out of the turmoil for the Middle East, and the international community should take more concrete and effective actions to this end. "She expressed her country's stand saying that "China stands ready to work with Qatar to strengthen the synergy of both countries’ development strategies, jointly promote the community with a shared future for humanity, uphold international fairness and justice, advance on the journey toward national prosperity and rejuvenation, and bring more benefit to the two peoples."

Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and King Abdullah II of Jordan, who is visiting Tashkent, discussed on Tuesday ways of strengthening bilateral relations and exchanged views on the latest developments in the Middle East.During the meeting, King Abdullah II emphasized the urgent need to halt the Israeli assault on Gaza, end the humanitarian catastrophe in the Strip, and ensure the unimpeded flow of aid.He also underscored the importance of stopping the dangerous escalation in the West Bank and the ongoing violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
