The State of Qatar said that the Israeli violations and crimes did not stop at the brotherly Palestinian people, but rather extended to the cowardly targeting of residential buildings housing several members of the Hamas movement's political bureau in Doha, stressing that this criminal attack constitutes a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, and a serious threat to the security and safety of the State of Qatar and its people. This came in the State of Qatar's statement delivered by HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar in Geneva Dr. Hend bint Abdulrahman Al Muftah, during her participation in the General Debate with the High Commissioner for Human Rights, for item No. 2, within the framework of the 60th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva. Her Excellency said that the brutal Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip, the massive destruction of infrastructure and homes, the starvation and deliberate murdering of civilians, journalists, and humanitarian aid workers, as well as the forced displacement and migration of the population, and the planning to occupy the entire strip, is not self-defense. It is a crime of genocide committed by the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) against the Palestinians, in flagrant violation of all international laws and agreements, and a blatant challenge to international appeals, resolutions, and rulings of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), Dr. Al Muftah continued. Her Excellency said that history records everything, pointing out that all nations must ask themselves how they will justify their positions, inaction and inability to stop this genocide, to future generations. HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar in Geneva Dr. Hend bint Abdulrahman Al Muftah called on the international community to take serious and urgent measures to compel Israel to end the occupation, halt its crimes and grave violations against the Palestinian people, hold all those responsible accountable, and support the establishment of an independent Palestinian State on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as its capital.

The National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) strongly condemned and denounced the Israeli attack that targeted Hamas political leaders present in Doha for an internationally recognized negotiation process aimed at securing a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and advancing a peaceful settlement of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.In a statement on Wednesday, the NHRC affirmed that the assault constitutes a blatant violation of international law and a direct undermining of mediation and negotiation mechanisms, in clear contravention of the UN Charter and its purposes.The Committee noted that the attack resulted in the martyrdom of a member of Qatar Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) while carrying out his national duty to protect security and stability, in addition to several injuries among security personnel at the scene. It stressed that this adds a tragic humanitarian dimension to the violation, underscoring Israel's disregard for the right to life and human dignity.The NHRC emphasized that the attack is not merely a violation of international law, but constitutes an act of aggression under the UN Charter and international criminal law, and a grave breach of Article (2/4) of the Charter, which prohibits the use or threat of force against the independence or territorial integrity of any state.The Committee warned that this act undermines confidence in peaceful mediation as enshrined in international conventions and sets a dangerous precedent that threatens the entire international legal order.In this context, the NHRC held Israel fully responsible under international law for the aggression, stressing that the international community must go beyond verbal condemnation to adopt deterrent and binding measures, whether through the UN Security Council or competent international courts.The Committee further recalled the State of Qatar's inherent right, under Article (51) of the UN Charter, to defend itself and safeguard its sovereignty and the security of its citizens and residents by all political, legal, and diplomatic means, including resorting to international judicial mechanisms to hold the perpetrators accountable.The NHRC affirmed that, by virtue of its mandate, it will continue documenting violations resulting from the Israeli aggression and presenting them to the relevant international forums to ensure accountability, prevent impunity, and safeguard victims' rights to justice and redress.The statement concluded by calling on the international community to shoulder its responsibilities in protecting international peace and security, restoring respect for international law and the role of the United Nations, and confronting attempts to legitimize the use of armed force at the expense of peaceful solutions and human rights, in order to preserve the future of the region and safeguard global stability.

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call on Wednesday from Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of the Sultanate of Oman. During the call, the Sultan expressed Oman's solidarity with the State of Qatar and its strong condemnation of the blatant Israeli attack that targeted the residences of several Hamas leaders, describing it as a criminal act and a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, as well as a threat to the security of the State of Qatar and the region. The Sultan also reaffirmed Oman's firm rejection of any aggression that threatens the security and safety of the State of Qatar and undermines the security and stability of the region, emphasizing that the Sultanate of Oman stands with the State of Qatar in all measures it takes to protect its security and preserve its sovereignty. For his part, HH the Amir affirmed that the State of Qatar will take all necessary measures to protect its security and preserve its sovereignty in response to the blatant Israeli attack. Qatar was subjected to a treacherous attack by the Israeli occupation forces on Tuesday, which can only be interpreted as an act of state terrorism, stressed HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani at special press conference held in Doha Tuesday. HE the prime minster said the assault targeted the headquarters of the political bureau of Hamas during the ongoing negotiations. “From the very first moment, and under the directives of His Highness the Amir, the security authorities, the civil defence, and other agencies concerned immediately responded to the incident. The casualties and martyrs resulting from this treacherous attack were recorded, and the necessary measures were taken to ensure public safety and contain its consequences.” HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, pointed out that Qatar will not tolerate any violation of its sovereignty or the integrity of its territory, and that it will respond firmly to any reckless breach or aggression that targets its security and threatens the stability of the region. “Qatar reserves the right to respond to this blatant attack and will take all necessary measures to address it. The directives of His Highness the Amir are clear: the security of citizens and expatriates is our top priority. Accordingly, starting from Wednesday, a comprehensive review of the policies and procedures will begin to ensure deterrence of such actions and prevent their recurrence.” He noted that the Israeli attack that took place on the Qatari soil can only be described as state terrorism carried out by someone like Israeli Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu. “Within the context of these systematic policies and his ongoing attempts to destabilise regional security and stability, this is nothing more than a clear message to the entire region. “That message is that there is a rogue player in this region, one that engages in continuous political bullying and violates the sovereignty of states. Netanyahu himself has declared that he intends to reshape the Middle East. Does this message mean that he also seeks to reshape the Gulf? “We believe that today we have reached a critical juncture where the entire region must respond to such barbaric actions, which reflect the brutality of this individual who is leading the region toward a level, unfortunately, that cannot be repaired—one that makes it impossible to work within the international systems, frameworks, and laws, all of which he has blatantly disregarded.” HE Sheikh Mohammed added that at this point of time there is a need for a collective response from the entire region. He stressed that this attack was not only a blatant violation of all international laws but also a transgression of the most basic ethical and moral standards. “We are speaking about a mediating state that is hosting official negotiations under a declared sponsorship and in the presence of official delegations. However, the missiles were launched and fired targeting the negotiating delegation from the other side. By what logic or moral standard can this be accepted? What took place can only be described as outright treachery.” He added that in recent days, intense negotiations were held at the request of the American side to discuss the latest proposal it had submitted. “Despite being fully aware and actively involved through the continuous dispatch of its delegations to Doha, the Israeli side deliberately worked to obstruct every effort aimed at opening a window for peace. “Does the world need a clearer message than this? Who is the one closing the door to peace? Does the international community still need further proof? Who is the real bully in this region? He pointed out that history will write down this incident as a flagrant violation of the International laws and traditions. “We have to take this incident into consideration as the infringement on the sovereignty of countries and recklessness that should not be overlooked.” The prime minister stressed that Qatar is taking all the necessary measures in coordination with friendly and brotherly countries against this unjustifiable attack. He said that all such measures to be taken shall be announced in the coming days. He expressed his condolences for the Qatari personnel from the internal security forces who was martyred during the attack. “All the necessary measures have been taken to guarantee the safety and security of the public as Qatar will never spare efforts to defend its sovereignty and integrity of its territories. It will deal decisively with any reckless action or attack that touches on its security and the security of the region.” HE the prime minister said that the American side informed Qatar government ten minutes after the attack took place and the US said that they had just received the message. He affirmed that the attack was a 100% treacherous operation; no body informed ahead, and any other talk or tales about this are only lies and unfounded rumours. He said the efficiency of the Qatari air defence system was proven during the Iranian missile attacks. “However, these attacks were conducted using sophisticated weaponry that were not detected by the radar.” He said that Israeli side used to send its delegation to Doha for negotiations in a continuous manner, and they knew that the peace negotiations were going on.

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has condemned the recent Israeli strikes on Doha, warning that such actions risk further escalating tensions in the region.In a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Starmer stated:" I condemn Israel's strikes on Doha, which violate Qatar's sovereignty and risk further escalation across the region".He emphasized the urgent need for de-escalation, adding:" The priority must be an immediate ceasefire, the release of hostages, and a huge surge in aid into Gaza. This is the only solution towards long-lasting peace".

It further warned all regional and international parties of the reckless Israeli policy aimed at expanding the circle of conflict and undermining all peace gains achieved over the past decades.The ministry stressed that this aggressive Israeli approach clearly reflects a deliberate intent to destroy all prospects for de-escalation, a ceasefire, and an agreement ensuring both a cessation of hostilities and the release of hostages, highlighting the complete absence of political will on the Israeli side to move toward peace, while persisting in aggression and systematic violations of international law.It added that Egypt, while reaffirming its categorical rejection of any form of aggression against the territories of Arab states, emphasizes once again that the security and stability of the State of Qatar is a fundamental pillar of Arab national security, and that any harm to it constitutes a highly dangerous development that cannot be accepted under any pretext or justification.
