'The goal is no longer simply a university degree'

Qatar’s journey toward a knowledge-based economy continues to be shaped by a strong alignment between higher education, the labour market, and national development goals. Through partnerships between universities, government institutions, and the private sector, the country is preparing a generation equipped with the skills, creativity, and ambition needed for the future.“Qatar has made significant strides in recent years in linking education to the labour market. The goal is no longer simply to obtain a university degree, but to graduate qualified individuals with the skills needed for the future,” said Khawla Abdullah al-Bahr, a public health expert and sports nutritionist. “Today, we see partnerships between universities and the public and private sectors, and specialisations related to digital transformation, scientific research, sustainability, and health, which enhances employment opportunities and innovation.”Al-Bahr highlighted that education, family values, and personal development played a central role in shaping her own journey. Growing up in a home that valued reading, learning, and a healthy lifestyle, she developed early habits that influenced both her academic and professional path.“From childhood, we have always eaten healthy food. My father encouraged us to exercise and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Our house was a house of readers, and we read stories in Arabic and English from a young age, which strengthened our language skills.”Her professional focus combines physical health, sports, and community awareness, reflecting the importance of balancing mental and physical well-being. “A well-balanced person who eats, studies, and sleeps in a structured way is also capable of working effectively. My goal is to help individuals enjoy health and well-being because society needs such people to serve the nation and contribute to its progress.”Her passion for public health became even stronger during her postgraduate studies, particularly after her son was diagnosed with diabetes. This experience inspired her to raise awareness among families about diabetes prevention and healthy lifestyles.“We should encourage people to exercise with their children, eat foods low in sugar, and diversify their diet with fruits and vegetables. In this way, we protect society and prevent many children from falling into the trap of diabetes.”Al-Bahr also emphasised the importance of continuous learning and professional qualifications. “Qatar requires us to obtain degrees along with experience and application in the field of specialisation. When you have experience and a method of performance, it is very important to have a goal in order to raise and elevate society with continuity and sustainability.”Beyond education, attracting national talent to the private sector remains a key pillar of economic growth. Providing career development opportunities, training, and an environment that encourages creativity can help young Qataris achieve their ambitions.“Attracting national talent to the private sector not only serves the individual’s interests but also contributes to strengthening the national economy and raising competitiveness. Qatari youth possess competence and ambition, and when given the right opportunities, they can achieve great accomplishments in various sectors.”She noted that university graduates today must look beyond academic qualifications. “A degree is important, but it is no longer the only factor. Employers are also looking for soft skills, problem-solving abilities, continuous learning, and flexibility in dealing with changes.”Government and private initiatives also play a vital role in supporting innovation among young people. “When young people find support, training, funding, and guidance, they become more capable of innovation and turning their ambition into an achievement that serves society and the national economy.”Looking ahead, Al-Bahr believes Qatar’s youth are positioned to contribute significantly to the country’s future vision. “Don’t be afraid to try new ideas, because every great achievement started with a small idea. Invest in your skills, take advantage of the available programs and initiatives, and trust in your ability to make a difference.” She concluded.

Traders work on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange. Jobs data in the coming week will shed light on the US economy's strength, which could raise prospects for near-term ‌interest rate hikes, adding potential volatility to a stock market already on edge from swings in technology shares.

Jobs data, rate bets in focus as US stocks close solid first half

Jobs data in the coming week will shed light on the US economy's strength, which could raise prospects for near-term ‌interest rate hikes, adding potential volatility to a stock market already on edge from swings in technology shares.Major US equity indexes next ‌week are set to close out a solid first half of the year, with ‌the benchmark S&P 500 up more than 7% so ‌far in 2026. But equities have had a ‌rougher time in June. High-flying shares of semiconductor companies have seen huge moves this week as investors calibrate their optimism over AI-driven profits.A Federal Reserve meeting this month revealed policymakers were laser-focused on containing inflation. Investors said the monthly jobs report due on Thursday could increase bets on rate hikes if it indicates a hot economy. US financial markets will be closed on Friday for the Independence Day holiday."If we do get a really good jobs number, my guess is the market's not going to treat that as good news," said Doug Huber, deputy chief investment officer at Wealth Enhancement. "It's going to treat it as the economy's hot and it's going start to probably price in even higher risks of potentially a hike."Action in shares of tech companies and especially chip companies was set to keep dominating Wall Street's attention. The Philadelphia SE Semiconductor Index has soared more than 90% since ‌the market's late-March low for the year, but has pared back this week as investors assess if the trade is overheated.Blowout results from memory chipmaker Micron Technology late on Wednesday gave support to the group but the tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite was on pace for a weekly decline."The flavor of tech leadership for the last two months has been semiconductor-related names...concentrated in memory-related equities," said Julia Hermann, global market strategist at New York Life Investment Management. "The live question is, are higher interest rates going to threaten the more cyclical and volatile component of market leadership at play?"The US economy has posted three straight months of solid job gains, with payrolls rising by 172,000 in May. June employment is expected to rise by 135,000 jobs, according to Jefferies economists.Meanwhile, inflation has remained well above the Fed's 2% annual target. The central bank said at its latest meeting it was focused on ‌delivering price stability - a meeting investors took as ‌surprisingly hawkish. Data on Thursday showed inflation breaking above 4% for the first time in three years, as the Middle East conflict boosted energy prices."The Fed is very finely balanced," said Brad Conger, chief investment officer at Hirtle & Co. Even if the jobs data is not "a big surprise, it can tilt the Fed in one direction or the other...If jobs are strong, interest rates could go back up, and that challenges the market."Fed funds futures are indicating better than even odds of a hike by the central bank's September meeting, according to LSEG data on Thursday, a reversal from the start of the year when investors were banking on equity-friendly rate cuts by year-end."We've shifted from the sense that interest rate hikes were this less-than-ideal way to cope with a supply shock, energy specifically, to this sense that the Fed is now structurally engaging with its inflation mandate in a new way," Hermann said.Higher rates pose several potential headwinds for equity performance, including by raising borrowing costs for companies and consumers and slowing economic growth.Investors will also watch earnings results next week from sportswear company Nike. Second-quarter reporting season ramps up later in July.Developments in the Middle East remain in focus for Wall Street, with energy prices easing amid a ceasefire in the region. Oil has dropped to the $70-a-barrel range from $100 a month ago. "We ‌are trying to evaluate: is there staying power to a truce in the Middle East and that impact on oil and the big knock-through effect on inflation," Huber said.

DSQ Real Estate highlights responsible advisory as Dubai’s off-plan property market matures

As Dubai’s off-plan property market continues to attract international attention, DSQ Real Estate is highlighting the growing importance of responsible advisory for overseas buyers, particularly investors from the United Kingdom who are increasingly looking at Dubai as a long-term property investment destination. Dubai has remained one of the world’s most closely watched real estate markets, supported by strong infrastructure growth, investor-friendly regulations, flexible payment plans, and continued demand for new residential communities. Off-plan properties continue to play a central role in this growth, offering buyers access to new developments at earlier stages and often with structured payment options that appeal to both investors and end users. However, as the market matures, the buying decision has become more complex. UK buyers entering Dubai’s off-plan segment are no longer looking only at launch prices or branded brochures. They are asking deeper questions about developer credibility, project timelines, payment structures, future rental demand, resale liquidity, service charges, and long-term community growth. This shift has created a stronger need for advisory-led real estate consultancy in Dubai. DSQ Real Estate, a Dubai-based property consultancy, says the next phase of the off-plan market will be shaped not only by demand, but by the quality of guidance buyers receive before making a commitment. “UK buyers are becoming more informed and more careful. They are not simply asking which project is available; they are asking whether the investment makes sense over five to ten years,” said Danish Salim Qureshi,CEO of DSQ Real Estate, British entrepreneur and property consultant in Dubai. “Our responsibility is to help them understand the full picture — the developer, the location, the payment plan, the risks, and the realistic upside. Responsible advisory is no longer optional in Dubai’s off-plan market; it is essential.” For many UK investors, Dubai offers a combination of lifestyle appeal, rental yield potential, tax efficiency, and global connectivity. Yet buying off-plan in a foreign market requires a different level of preparation. Unlike ready properties, off-plan investments depend on future delivery, construction progress, master-community planning, market supply, and post-handover demand. DSQ Real Estate works with buyers to simplify this process by reviewing project fundamentals, explaining regulatory requirements, comparing developer track records, and guiding clients through documentation and transaction procedures. The company says its focus is to help clients make decisions based on due diligence rather than sales pressure. Dubai’s regulatory environment has also played a key role in strengthening investor confidence. Systems such as developer registration, escrow-linked project payments, regulated sales processes, and transparent transaction data have helped create a more secure property environment. However, international buyers still need professional guidance to understand how these protections apply in practice. According to DSQ Real Estate, one of the biggest challenges for UK buyers is not finding projects, but filtering them. With a growing number of off-plan launches across Dubai, buyers must evaluate whether a project is supported by real end-user demand, infrastructure growth, rental potential, and realistic pricing compared with nearby communities. A lower launch price does not always mean better value. Similarly, a high-profile project is not automatically the safest investment. The strongest opportunities often depend on a combination of location, developer delivery history, payment flexibility, community maturity, and future supply levels. This is where DSQ Real Estate believes consultancy firms must play a more responsible role. Rather than focusing only on short-term sales, the company says the industry must help buyers understand both opportunity and risk. “Dubai remains a strong market, but every project should be assessed properly,” added Danish Salim Qureshi. “For UK buyers, trust is built through clarity. They want direct answers, realistic expectations, and professional guidance. That is the standard the market now demands.” As Dubai’s off-plan segment continues to evolve, advisory quality is likely to become a key differentiator for real estate firms. Buyers are becoming more data-conscious, developers are competing for credibility, and overseas investors are placing greater value on transparent communication. For DSQ Real Estate, this market maturity represents an important step forward. The company believes Dubai’s long-term appeal will continue to grow, but sustainable investor confidence will depend on education, transparency, and responsible consultancy. As more UK buyers explore Dubai’s property market, the message is clear: successful off-plan investment is no longer about buying early alone. It is about buying wisely, with the right research, the right guidance, and a clear understanding of the market before committing capital. About DSQ Real Estate DSQ Real Estate is a Dubai-based real estate consultancy focused on helping local and international buyers explore property opportunities across the emirate. The company provides advisory support for off-plan property investments, developer project comparisons, documentation guidance, and market-led property selection, with a particular focus on helping overseas investors understand Dubai’s real estate landscape.

Don't confuse turbulence with decline: This market has leg

As the end of a tumultuous first half of 2026 approaches, markets face no shortage of red flags warning that the second half will be just as choppy. But don't confuse turbulence with a signal of ‌an impending correction.Wild volatility and eye-watering price swings in blue-chip shares, benchmark indices and entire asset classes are often hallmarks of late bull markets. To ‌paraphrase the late Federal Reserve Chair Alan Greenspan, this is when exuberance gets irrational.These dynamics are currently ‌playing out to varying degrees across many markets.Silver is ‌down 55% from its peak in January and Bitcoin ‌has also lost more than half its value since November. The ride in tech has been volatile — the SOX Philadelphia semiconductor index posting 10% single-day drops but still up 90% since March; Micron Technology tripling to a $1tn market cap in three months; and Oracle plunging 30% in June alone.But nothing encapsulates the turbulence — and resilience — of the first six months of 2026 quite like South Korean stocks. The AI-pumped KOSPI was in a rampant bull market — rising 50% in the first two months of the year — before plunging into a bear market within three days after the US-Israeli attack on Iran. Little wonder realized volatility soared to record highs.Yet since that low in March, the KOSPI has nearly doubled, despite the index posting four double-digit corrections along the way.Such frenzied behavior typically precedes a steeper correction, a bear market, or even a crash. That's why these wild price swings — coupled with sky-high valuations and a growing IPO frenzy — are putting investors on high alert ‌that several bubbles are about to burst. But even if the diagnosis is accurate and markets are moving into "irrational" territory, fears of a sharp correction might be premature.Room for exuberanceAt least that's what Wall Street seems to think. Strategists at JPMorgan and Barclays this week upped their end-2026 S&P 500 calls to 7,800 points, implying a further 5% upside, while their counterparts at BCA Research increased their year-end forecast to 8,100, nearly 10% above current levels."Our constructive equity view rests on earnings, not valuation," BCA's team wrote on Tuesday. "The economy has shifted from slowdown to expansion, the investment side of the economy continues to accelerate, and earnings growth is broader and stronger than we expected at the start of the year."Until hard evidence emerges to the contrary, that's a compelling case.Bull markets can collapse under their own weight, but that's rare. More often, a sharp reversal requires a trigger, such as a steep rise in interest rates, a policy error, or an ‌unforeseen financial shock. We haven't seen one yet.The ‌first six months of the year have thrown up a war, a historic global energy squeeze, a hawkish shift in Fed communications and growing concern about hyperscalers' capex spending and debt issuance. But investors have shrugged it all off.Still, as JPMorgan's Dubravko Lakos-Bujas and team recognize, even if the path for US equities is upwards, it will likely be "non-linear" and various hurdles will need to be cleared.The bar for upcoming earnings has been raised by the strength of recent quarters. Equity supply is expected to surge with the listings of OpenAI, Anthropic and others. And, perhaps most importantly, the Fed could soon move from talking about tightening monetary policy to actually hiking rates.One of the most common causes of death for bull markets is rising borrowing costs. Indeed, there's a strong argument to be made that the US central bank's latest hawkish pivot is behind the recent bout of weakness in certain risk assets.But if earnings hold up, the AI craze continues and the global economy keeps chugging along, investors are likely to continue viewing downdrafts as buying opportunities.It's worth noting that Greenspan made his famous "irrational exuberance" remark in December 1996, more than three years before the dotcom bubble peaked in March 2000. There may be plenty of road for the current rally to run.The opinions expressed here are those of the author, a columnist for Reuters.

Asian stock markets were mixed after a broadly positive start on Monday. Tokyo, Seoul and Taipei were boosted by tech firms again, while there were also advances in Shanghai, Mumbai and Bangkok.But Hong Kong, Sydney, Singapore, Wellington, Manila and Jakarta fell.Oil prices fell Monday on optimism over US-Iran talks, with mediators flagging a "roadmap" to a final agreement, while equities were mixed.The negotiations finally got underway Sunday in Switzerland with teams led by US Vice-President JD Vance and Iran's Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, after being initially postponed in the wake of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah.Traders have been in a buoyant mood after news that the two foes had paused their conflict, which had sent energy costs soaring and stoking inflation.There were initial jitters following reports that Iran had called off the talks, but mediators Pakistan and Qatar said the negotiations took place in "a positive and constructive atmosphere".The two mediators said the United States and Iran agreed to set up a "communication line" to avoid incidents in the crucial waterway, and "the High Level Committee has agreed upon a roadmap towards reaching a final deal within 60 days, laying the foundation for the immediate commencement of further technical talks".Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on X that "mediation has delivered major progress to end Lebanon War"."Following the positive response last week to reports of a US-Iran ceasefire, markets are likely to open with a cautious tone to start the new week as it remains clear that the situation in the Middle East remains fragile," said National Australia Bank's Skye Masters."The dollar is likely to remain supported, the oil price could swing either way but at current levels the risk is for a lift higher."In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 closed up 1.6% to 72,353.96 points; Hong Kong - Hang Seng Index ended down 0.7% to 23,768.52 points; Shanghai - Composite closed up 1.8% to 4,163.10 points and Seoul - Kospi ended up 0.7% to 9,114.55 points on Monday.

US investors see Micron earnings as pulse check of AI rally momentum

Investors ‌are seeking signs that the US stock market rally fuelled by artificial intelligence has more life left in it, and ‌the upcoming Micron Technology earnings will check the pulse of chip demand to see ‌if it is still accelerating.Despite a sharp ‌mid-week selloff, major US stock indexes are hovering ‌near all-time highs, supported by robust corporate earnings driven by an AI investment boom and relief from the Iran war.Micron's shares are up 298% this year, and the memory chip maker's quarterly report on Wednesday, June 24, will help investors gauge whether the surge in spending on data centers and the resulting profits generated across the semiconductor sector can continue to surprise to the upside."There’s been a lot of momentum here recently," said Andy Pratt, director of investment strategy at Burney Company. "This AI trend is something that’s continued, and honestly, what we see with this revenue surprise signal that we monitor is there's still a lot of juice." Apple has agreed to partner with Intel to design and manufacture chips in the US, which could significantly boost the chipmaker's turnaround efforts.That helped to ‌lift the S&P 500 nearly 1% so far this week, on pace for a second weekly gain. Meanwhile, the Philadelphia SE Semiconductor index hit a record high and was last up 7% for the week.The stakes are high. Micron's earnings come at a time when valuations are elevated and investors are questioning whether the rally is overextended. Any indication of underlying demand and continued AI-related spending strength could give investors confidence to keep stoking the rally.Micron's earnings are "setting up as a classic positive feedback loop," said Steve Kolano, chief investment officer at Integrated Partners. "That really seems to be kind of the only game in town. ... If you look at the book to bill of semiconductor companies right now and the backlog, the demand is just through the roof in relation to chip ‌capacity." Big Tech has signaled that AI ‌spending is not slowing, set to rise past $700bn this year from $400bn in 2025.Although the AI narrative has dominated markets, underlying macroeconomic concerns remain. The Federal Reserve's preferred inflation measure is due next week. So, too, is a final reading on first-quarter GDP. Both reports will provide checks on the health of the US consumer and economic growth.Second-quarter earnings growth for the S&P 500 is estimated at 22.9%, down from 29.3% in the first quarter, according to data provided by Tajinder Dhillon, head of earnings research at LSEG. Drew Matus, chief market strategist at MetLife Investment Management, said strong equity markets have been one of the main supports for consumers, and anything that challenges the AI trade or the continued rise in stocks is being closely watched."It has not just been market effects but macroeconomic effects at this point," he said. "We’re definitely worried about the wealth effect going away and what that might mean." For now, the consensus is that the AI trade remains intact, with little sign of slowing. Newly public SpaceX has reinforced that momentum, and Nasdaq's inclusion of more AI and chip infrastructure names like Astera Labs and CoreWeave will force index funds ‌to buy in."The way I would view this is," said Burney's Pratt, "you could continue betting on these companies kind of until proven otherwise."

Edaa advances Qatar’s capital market infrastructure in collaboration with LSEG

The London Stock Exchange (LSEG) on Monday welcomed Edaa, Qatar's central securities depository, to open trading — marking a new chapter in a collaboration to modernise and transform Qatar's post-trade infrastructure, reshaping the foundations of the country's capital markets and connecting them more closely to the world.Edaa began as a central securities depository. Today it stands as an integrated post-trade market infrastructure institution at the heart of Qatar's financial transformation — safeguarding securities, sharpening operational efficiency, broadening investor services, and anchoring the trust on which capital markets are built.At the centre of that progress is Edaa's Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) Transformation Programme: a comprehensive, end-to-end modernisation of the systems that sit beneath Qatar's markets. Leveraging LSEG Markets Technology, Edaa is deploying a new post-trade technology suite across its operations. The programme unifies functions that have traditionally run on separate systems. Qatar is adopting the full LSEG Markets Technology suite, a unified, end-to-end platform supporting the full trade lifecycle, including trading, clearing, settlement and depository services. For the market, that integration is the substance behind the vision — fewer points of friction, faster and more resilient settlement, a single consolidated view for investors and participants, and operations aligned with international best practice and global standards of resilience, transparency and risk management. For investors, the programme delivers a more seamless, integrated experience and broader access to services — for issuers and for local and foreign investors alike. For market participants, it brings greater operational efficiency, stronger risk controls, and the confidence that comes from infrastructure built to international standards. For Qatar's capital markets as a whole, it provides a platform with the capacity to support new instruments, deeper liquidity, and the next phase of growth. The transformation also lays the groundwork for Qatar's next major milestones: the introduction of a central counterparty (CCP) and a modern central securities depository and securities settlement system. Together, these will bring central clearing and risk mutualisation to the market and a depository rebuilt to international standards — reducing counterparty risk, strengthening settlement resilience, and aligning Qatar's post-trade environment with the world's leading financial centres. HE the Deputy Governor of the Qatar Central Bank and Chairman of Edaa, Sheikh Ahmed bin Khalid bin Ahmed bin Sultan al- Thani commented: "Edaa's progress reflects the ambition of Qatar's financial sector and the goals of the Qatar Financial Sector Strategy and National Vision 2030. "We have not simply replaced a system — we have rebuilt the foundations of our market on infrastructure that meets the highest international standards, and that opens the path to a central counterparty and a modern depository for Qatar. Sheikh Ahmed said: "This collaboration strengthens our capital markets, deepens Qatar's connection to global finance, and gives every investor and participant a more integrated, more resilient market to rely on. The future of market infrastructure belongs to institutions that never stand still — and Edaa intends to lead." Edaa CEO, Sheikh Mohammed bin Jassim al-Thani said: "Opening the London market is a proud moment for Edaa and for Qatar. We began as a securities depository; today we are building towards a single, integrated post-trade platform that brings clearing, settlement and depository together in one place. That is what modern market infrastructure looks like: secure, resilient and connected to the world. Our collaboration with LSEG is the engine behind that ambition — and behind the next phase of growth for our market."London Stock Exchange CEO, David Schwimmer said: "Edaa's transformation is a significant milestone for Qatar's capital markets. By bringing together trading, clearing, settlement and depository on a single platform powered by LSEG Markets Technology, the market is better positioned for resilience, efficiency and future growth. We are excited and proud to support this journey as Qatar continues to strengthen its global connectivity and competitiveness."That ambition reached a defining moment with Edaa's move to its new home, Edaa Hub, and the commencement of the FMI Transformation Program.This is far more than a technology upgrade. It is the foundation for deeper capital markets, stronger post-trade infrastructure, and a more dynamic, globally connected financial ecosystem for Qatar — advancing both the Qatar Financial Sector Strategy and Qatar National Vision 2030.

A suddenly rocky US stock market confronts a potential wildcard this week: A newly led Federal Reserve at a ‌time investors are worried that interest rate hikes to fight inflation could dampen enthusiasm for equities.Investors are eager to see how Fed Chair ‌Kevin Warsh handles his first meeting as head of the US central bank, one of ‌Wall Street's most closely watched events that frequently leads ‌to sharp moves in asset prices."As we've seen at ‌times in the past, it can be a bit of a challenge for a newer Fed chief to get the message right, to stick the landing," said Jim Baird, chief investment officer with Plante Moran Financial Advisors. "The market is watching and parsing every word that's said."After torrid runs, major stock indexes have cooled off so far this month. The benchmark S&P 500 was last down nearly 3% from its record closing high from June 2. The Nasdaq Composite had slipped almost 5% from its high that day.Wall Street's "fear gauge," the Cboe Volatility Index this week hit two-month highs, while the major averages were seeing significant daily swings, including sharp gains on Thursday.Technology shares have led the declines, just as they drove indexes higher in scorching rallies off the market's low for the year in late March. Investors are wary of an overheated rally amid soaring optimism about AI-driven profits, despite risks that include developments in the Middle East ‌war and its impact on energy prices and inflation.Investors also will closely follow trading in Elon Musk's SpaceX, set to make its market debut on Friday after its massive initial public offering.The S&P 500 remains up 8% this year, while the Nasdaq is up 11%.Any potential interest-rate hike by the Fed could present headwinds for equities by raising borrowing costs for consumers and businesses, while also making bonds more competitive investments.While the Fed is widely expected to hold rates steady when it gives its monetary policy statement on Wednesday, investors will be looking for signs of policymakers' views going forward.Warsh was picked by President Donald Trump, who railed at the central bank and prior chair Jerome Powell for not cutting rates more to his liking.But Fed fund futures suggest market expectations that the central bank will increase rates by the end of the year, according to LSEG data.Economic data this week showed ‌US consumer inflation in May increased at its ‌fastest pace in three years. This, along with recent solid employment data have led investors to think that the Fed will focus on containing inflation, which could mean leaning more towards rate hikes."Trying to understand the reaction function of this new administration at the Fed is going to be key," said Marvin Loh, senior global macro strategist at State Street. "If we get that type of a hawkish hold, if you will, I think that that would kind of surprise the market."As part of the meeting, Fed officials are expected to give projections about the path of interest rates and about the economy, including inflation. Investors will also closely scrutinize Warsh's press conference after the policy decision on Wednesday."The biggest thing is will the Fed hold, and what's the language around it?" said Marta Norton, chief investment strategist at retirement and wealth services provider Empower. "How does it describe inflation?"Investors will also want to learn Warsh's policy goals and how he might seek to reshape the Fed.For example, Warsh has expressed a desire to pare the Fed's $6.7tn balance sheet, which could cause ripples in markets.Warsh might also seek to change the way the Fed communicates or gives guidance about policy, investors said."If we are more data dependent and we're not getting visibility from the Fed of what they want to do, then I would think every economic release gets a ‌little bit more attention and can create a little bit more volatility than we've seen over the last few years," said Jeff Given, head of developed-market fixed income at Manulife Investment Management.
