Qatar Charity (QC) was honoured in a ceremony accompanying the ministerial meetings of the ministers and heads of Civil Service, Labour, and Social Affairs Agencies in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, which took place in Kuwait. The honourary shield was received by QC CEO Yousuf bin Ahmed al-Kuwari, in the presence of several high-level dignitaries, including Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Shaikh Fahad Yusuf Saud al-Sabah, and GCC Secretary General Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi. Present also in the event were Qatar's Minister of Labour HE Dr Ali bin Samikh al-Marri, HE the Minister of Social Development and Family Buthaina bint Ali al-Nuaimi, and HE the President of the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau Abdulaziz bin Nasser al-Khalifa, along with other guests. QC was recognised as one of Qatar’s leading civil society organisations in the social and humanitarian sectors. The honour highlights its outstanding efforts in the fields of charitable and social work, as well as its tangible positive impact both locally and internationally. The honour also underscores QC's deep-rooted commitment to fulfilling its humanitarian responsibilities and achieving the goals of sustainable development. QC was also honoured in May with the GCC Housing Award for the 2024–2025 cycle, in the category of private sector and charitable organisations, during the 23rd GCC Housing Ministers Meeting in Kuwait.

Qatar Charity (QC) and Misr El Kheir Foundation (MEK) have renewed their framework agreement originally signed in 2024. This partnership aims to continue and expand joint humanitarian and development projects in the Arab Republic of Egypt.The renewed agreement was signed by Chief Global Operations Officer at QC Nawaf Abdulla Al Hammadi and CEO of Misr El Kheir Foundation Dr. Mohamed Refay.During the signing ceremony, Al Hammadi expressed his happiness about renewing the partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation, one of Egypt's largest charitable organizations.He stated, "Our partnership has been strategic and fruitful, covering multiple sectors both within Egypt and beyond." For his part, Dr. Refay highlighted the importance of the agreement, saying, "We are delighted to renew this framework agreement with Qatar Charity, continuing our joint efforts in relief and development." The renewal comes after the previous agreement yielded tangible results during its first year of implementation, significantly improving the living conditions of thousands of beneficiaries in Egypt.This agreement aims to fund joint humanitarian and development projects over the next two years, building on the effective collaboration between the two organizations and reaffirming their shared commitment to serving the most vulnerable communities and achieving sustainable development.

Qatar Charity (QC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Afghanistan's Ministry of Public Health to construct a modern 400-bed hospital for women and children in Kandahar, funded by the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD). The MoU was signed during an official ceremony held at the Ministry's headquarters, in the presence of HE Minister of Public Health of Afghanistan, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, and Acting Charge d'Affaires at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Kabul, Mirdef bin Ali Al Qashouti, in addition to distinguished representatives from the World Health Organisation (WHO). On the Qatari side, the MoU was signed by Director of QC's office in Afghanistan, Munim Shah, while Deputy Minister of Afghan Public Health, Dr. Muhammad Hassan Ghayasi signed the MoU on the Afghan side. Through this MoU, Qatar Charity aims to establish a fully equipped specialized hospital with a capacity of 400 beds, dedicated to providing healthcare services for mothers and children, as well as internal medicine.

Qatar Charity (QC) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Workers’ Support and Insurance Fund, aiming to co-operate and co-ordinate on providing many services to workers in Qatar, meeting their humanitarian needs, and improving their quality of life.The agreement was signed by Faisal Rashid al-Fahida, assistant CEO for Programmes and Community Development at QC, and Kholoud Saif al-Kubaisi, executive director of the Workers’ Support and Insurance Fund, in the presence of officials from both parties.The MoU stipulates co-operation between the two parties to help humanitarian cases involving workers, propose joint projects for their benefit, and exchange consultations and information related to these cases, projects, and initiatives. These initiatives will provide appropriate services and support to workers, with the aim of creating a stimulating environment for them.In a statement on the sidelines of the signing of the agreement, al-Fahida said: “This agreement is not merely a joint framework, but rather a practical embodiment of Qatar Charity’s deep and ongoing commitment to workers, who constitute an integral part of the fabric of our society and represent a fundamental pillar in the growth and development of Qatar.”He added that, through this partnership with the Fund, QC seeks to achieve a qualitative leap in the level of services provided to workers and to intensify co-ordination with relevant authorities to ensure appropriate support in various fields.Kholoud al-Kubaisi stated that the MoU embodies a distinctive model of effective partnership between national institutions and leading humanitarian organisations in Qatar.The MoU represents a framework for co-operation in providing humanitarian services and social support for workers. It includes helping deserving cases, implementing joint projects that address their needs, and exchanging expertise and information to enhance work efficiency and ensure the achievement of desired results, the Fund official said.She also thanked QC for its constructive co-operation, as well as to all those who contributed to the preparation of the MoU, hoping that it would mark the beginning of a new journey of joint achievements that serve both workers and society.

As the new academic year begins, Qatar Charity has announced the launch of the "Education 2025" initiative, aimed at expanding access to education for underprivileged children, particularly in communities affected by conflicts and natural disasters.The initiative underscores education as a fundamental human right and a cornerstone of the Sustainable Development Goals, with the ultimate vision of building a brighter future for generations across the globe.Recent figures from the United Nations' Education Cannot Wait for fund reveal a sharp increase in the number of school-age children impacted by crises and in urgent need of quality education. By the end of 2024, the number reached 234mn children, of whom 37% remain completely out of school.Through Education 2025, Qatar Charity seeks to combat school dropouts, facilitate children's enrollment, and provide them with quality learning opportunities. The initiative focuses on constructing and rehabilitating schools, training teachers, and supplying students with essential educational and nutritional support, including school bags and food packages.

Qatar Charity has launched the "Keep Doing Good" campaign, a values-based initiative aimed at reminding people of the importance of consistently doing good deeds and drawing attention to the significance of habitual giving and charity.
