Ferrari team boss Fred Vasseur on Friday quelled speculation when he confirmed that seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton would stay with the Italian team next year.The 41-year-old Briton continued his recent strong form, which brought his maiden win for Ferrari, by topping practice on Friday."Last year, I underestimated the scale of the transition from Mercedes to Ferrari," Vasseur told the Italian daily Corriere della Sera. "Everything was new to him and Lewis isn't one of those drivers who moves team every two three years."Asked if he could confirm Hamilton for Ferrari in 2027, Vasseur said: "Yes.""He knows the tools, the people and our approach now," said Vasseur. "And with these good results, he's entered a virtuous circle."Vasseur said also that this year's Ferrari was not designed around Hamilton's requirements or style."Not at all, we don't tailor our F1 cars to one driver or another." PRE-RACE PARADE LAPFerrari also announced on Friday that, despite reservations, it was intended that Hamilton would join Charles Leclerc in Sunday's pre-race parade lap of mini-cars made of Lego.The event has drawn a mixed reception among drivers, disenchanted by the amount of unpaid marketing work they are required to do for Formula One.Four-time champion Max Verstappen had joined Hamilton and others in criticising the stunt on Friday, saying he did not like to see the drivers made to look like "kids and clowns".The Red Bull driver said he preferred the usual parade lap with all the drivers sharing a flatbed truck to tour the circuit in front of the fans."I prefer to play with Lego at home, you know, with the kids," the Dutch driver said. "Not on a go-kart here, to be honest.""I prefer to stand on a truck, with everyone together. It's more fun and looks more professional."

Japanese rider Ai Ogura claimed his maiden MotoGP win as Aprilia achieved another 1-2-3 finish but Marco Bezzecchi crashed and surrendered the overall championship lead to Jorge Martin in Sunday's motorcycling Dutch Grand Prix.At the heart of MotoGP thanks to their riders and manufacturers, Japan had been waiting nearly 22 years for a victory in the premier class.And it was ultimately Ogura, the 2024 Moto2 world champion, who ended that interminable wait with a first Japanese win since Makoto Tamada in 2004.The 25-year-old, who had already shown great promise ahead of his 2025 debut in the elite class, has confirmed his talent this year.Ogura delivered a masterful display in the Dutch heat, despite being hampered by a technical issue early in the race.Initially trailing and holding third place for much of the race, he once again produced a blistering finish.Ogura finished over two seconds ahead of his Trackhouse teammate Raul Fernandez with another Spaniard Martin in third a further 1.5sec back on a winding and undulating track."It's fantastic, I don't have much to say but I'm really very happy. Many thanks to my team," said Ogura.Fernandez, winner of Saturday's sprint, spent two-thirds of the race behind Martin before managing to overtake him only for Ogura, who had been biding his time, to pass his teammate shortly after and pull away for a scorching victory.Ogura took pole last week in the Czech Republic but came second.He also finished third at Le Mans in France in May to become the first Japanese rider to finish on a MotoGP podium since Katsuyuki Nakasuga at the Valencia Grand Prix in 2012. Bezzecchi scareIn the championship, Martin takes the lead seven points ahead of Bezzecchi with Italian Fabio Di Giannantonio 16 behind the leader.Bezzecchi crashed heavily on lap three at over 200kph.The Italian Aprilia rider was fortunate to separate from his bike early in the fall and was transferred to hospital, conscious but suffering "intense pain".Ogura moved up to fourth position, 25 points behind the leader, while Marc Marquez, the reigning world champion, is 40 points behind his compatriot in fifth."It's incredible to lead the championship; the important thing for me is that I've made good progress with this bike and am increasingly adapting my riding style to this Aprilia," said Martin.This tenth round of the season at Assen's "Cathedral of Speed" confirmed Aprilia's superiority over Ducati, a manufacturer that had dominated MotoGP for over five years.Ducati's Marquez, who had won the previous two Grands Prix just a month after undergoing double surgery on his right shoulder and foot, was unable to match the Aprilias in the Netherlands.Penalised one position for exceeding track limits, the 33-year-old Catalan finished a disappointing seventh and now trails Martin by 40 points.However, the final round before the summer break, taking place in two weeks at his favourite circuit, the Sachsenring in Germany, where he has won nine times in MotoGP, could allow the seven-time world champion to narrow that gap. 

Trackhouse rider Raul Fernandez delivered a dominant performance to win Saturday’s sprint race at the Dutch Grand Prix, overtaking ‌pole sitter Jorge Martin on the third lap ​to claim his second ‌sprint victory of the season.Ai Ogura completed ‌a landmark result ⁠for the ‌team by finishing second, ‌0.362 seconds behind Fernandez, sealing Trackhouse’s first-ever 1-2 finish in ⁠a sprint race. The contest was also the first to be held under MotoGP’s new rules banning front holeshot devices."I think we found that we are quite strong. It is an amazing result for me and for the team," Fernandez, who took his maiden MotoGP sprint ​win at Mugello in May, said."The track was quite nice. I was quite fast in the final part of the race, ‌but honestly, I was ⁠on my limit. ​We have to see what happens tomorrow." Martin ​made a strong launch from pole but was overtaken by Fernandez, Di Giannantonio and Ogura, then slipped further as he battled teammate Bezzecchi for fourth.Di Giannantonio took third after holding off Bezzecchi, while Martin faded to fifth."The race was really close. It was a shame that I lost a couple of spots in the first three laps. We know what we have ‌to improve tomorrow," Ogura ‌said. BEZZECCHI FINISHES FOURTHBezzecchi, who retired from ⁠the sprint at Brno a week ago before being banned ⁠from the Grand ⁠Prix for slapping a marshal, finished fourth to extend his championship lead by one point. The Aprilia rider now leads teammate Martin by nine points in the standings.Marc Marquez finished seventh but was awarded sixth place after his Ducati teammate ​Francesco Bagnaia dropped a position after being penalised for exceeding track limits on the final chicane.Gresini's Alex Marquez started the sprint race after missing qualifying and finished 13th, while Honda’s Joan Mir crashed out on the opening lap.Di Giannantonio closed to within 22 points of Bezzecchi, with Marc Marquez a further 20 points back. Ogura sits on 143, ‌one behind Marquez, ​ahead of Pedro Acosta (133) and Bagnaia (130). 

Formula One championship leader Kimi Antonelli was fastest in Friday practice for the Austrian Grand Prix as Mercedes sought to bounce back from their first defeat of the season.The 19-year-old Italian, winner of five races in a row ‌until he retired in Spain this month and Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton ended the dominant ​streak, was 0.040 quicker than ‌teammate George Russell in session one and then 0.237 faster than McLaren's Oscar ‌Piastri in the ⁠second.Piastri was consistently quick, ‌third in a scorching first practice session ‌with conditions declared a heat hazard, but Russell dropped to sixth at the end of a ⁠day after a disrupted second practice."We knew Mercedes would be a step ahead, and that’s how it played out, but it was productive for us," said Piastri.Red Bull's four-times world champion Max Verstappen was fourth in both practices for his team's home race, with Hamilton also fifth in both.McLaren's world champion Lando Norris, last year's winner at the Red Bull Ring, was seventh in the early session but third in the later afternoon when McLaren looked to ​be Mercedes's closest challengers."This track seems to suit us as we’ve seen in the last few years and that’s a good trend for the weekend ahead," said Norris.Russell said first practice had been strong for ‌Mercedes but McLaren and Red Bull ⁠had been quick in ​the second."It was a real surprise to see the first lap of the ​McLarens in P2, just right at the top, and their race pace especially on Lando's side looked a bit better than us," he added.Antonelli leads Hamilton by 41 points in the standings after seven rounds.EARLY ISSUES FOR MCLAREN AND RED BULLRed Bull had a difficult start to the day with Verstappen suffering issues with his upgraded car while teammate Isack Hadjar's car needed a hurried engine change and he missed the first 35 minutes.Four-time world champion Verstappen complained that "the whole car is shaking under braking"."At first we had an engine issue on Isack's car before the beginning of the session, so we had to do ‌a very late call to change ‌his engine," said team boss Laurent Mekies."And ⁠then on Max, we also had a troubled start with a couple of software issues that ⁠got us stuck in the garage."Norris remained ⁠in the garage for the first 45 minutes as McLaren wrestled with a hydraulics problem while Piastri complained about his car's brakes.Ferrari had F2 driver Dino Beganovic in Charles Leclerc's car for the opening session, clocking the ninth best time, with the Monegasque returning for the later hour and going eighth fastest."I’d say it was a solid but challenging start to the weekend, with the high ​temperatures making an already demanding circuit even tougher," said Hamilton."We’ve definitely got some work to do to find the right setup and balance and unlock some performance."Sergio Perez's Cadillac brought out red flags with just over a minute remaining after the Mexican stopped on the uphill climb, with the session then ended prematurely and no drivers able to do any practice starts.The Cadillac of Valtteri Bottas caught fire in session two after limping back to the pits with a damaged suspension and the car's floor sparking off the asphalt.Japanese driver Ryo Hirakawa replaced Esteban Ocon at ‌Haas for the session ​and knocked over one of the team mechanics when he overshot his pit box, fortunately without injury. 

Seven-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez won the Czech Grand Prix in Brno on Sunday, scoring a second straight win after dominating in Hungary two weeks ago. Pole sitter Ai Ogura of Japan finished second ahead of Marquez's factory Ducati teammate Francesco Bagnaia. Championship leader Marco Bezzecchi sat out the race as a penalty for slapping a track steward in the face following a crash in Saturday's sprint. But the Italian on a factory Aprilia still leads the MotoGP rankings with 180 points, ahead of his teammate Jorge Martin with 172, Fabio Di Giannantonio on a Ducati with 157 and Marc Marquez with 140. On a scorching hot day in the second Czech city of Brno, pole sitter Ogura on an Aprilia took the lead on the first lap with Bagnaia and Marquez tucked behind him.Bagnaia struck first in the second lap and Marquez followed seconds later, the two factory Ducatis settling down at the top with Ogura third. Marquez circled patiently behind Bagnaia, narrowing his gap on his teammate to a tenth of a second by the 11th of 21 laps. The seven-time MotoGP champion struck in lap 16, overtaking Bagnaia and immediately getting away to seal his fifth MotoGP victory on the Brno circuit. Moments later, Bagnaia also gave in to mounting pressure from Ogura. Ogura closed in on Marquez in the final laps but settled for second, while Bagnaia held off Di Giannantonio in fourth. The three also topped Saturday's sprint won by Bagnaia ahead of Ogura and Marquez."A super important victory," said Marquez. "Super happy." 'A tough one' Marquez came back to racing in Hungary after sitting out two Grand Prix with a broken foot, and ahead of Brno he admitted he was not entirely fit yet. "You know that I never give up, in the last laps I was suffering a lot. The bike was there but I was empty and then I just tried to keep the pace," said the 33-year-old Spaniard. "I saw that Ogura was pushing, but not enough to catch me. They were the longest six laps of the year," he added. Ogura said the race was "a really tough one". "I think I got a good pace towards the end but he (Marquez) has something more," the 25-year-old Trackhouse MotoGP Team rider said. "Overall the quality of the weekend was a lot better than the other races so we can be happy about that. Time to celebrate!" Bagnaia, the world champion in 2022 and 2023, said he had a hard time holding on to Marquez and Ogura after they had overtaken him. "I needed to slow down a bit and then the last three laps I tried to be back on my pace to try to control (Di Giannantonio) who was arriving very fast," the 29-year-old Italian added. It was a dark weekend for the Aprilia Racing team - besides Bezzecchi's ban, Martin finished ninth after serving two long-lap penalties for causing a crash in the Hungarian GP in which he took out four riders including Bezzecchi. The MotoGP circus has two races to go before the summer break, resuming in the Netherlands next weekend. Earlier on Sunday, Spain's Ivan Ortola took his maiden win in the Moto2 class despite serving a long-lap penalty, while Malaysia's Hakim Danish also relished his first-ever win in the Moto3 category.  

Lewis Hamilton claimed his first victory for Ferrari on Sunday at the Barcelona-Catalunya Formula One Grand Prix, ending championship leader Kimi Antonelli's five-race winning streak. The seven-time world champion finished ahead of George Russell and Lando Norris, while Antonelli was forced to abandon in the final stages because of a technical problem. Hamilton, 41, cut down Antonelli's title lead to 41 points by triumphing on a Sunday nearly two years after he last won a race. "It's not over, that's for sure," said Hamilton of the championship race. Mercedes polesitter Russell came in 19 seconds behind Hamilton, with Norris completing an all-British podium, the first since the 1968 United States Grand Prix. "You have helped me so much to achieve this dream, I cannot thank you enough," said Hamilton over team radio. "To the fans, thank you for reminding me who I am. I couldn't have done this without you." Russell, pre-season favourite for the championship, arrived in Barcelona bemoaning bad luck for his recent struggles but after team-mate Antonelli edged in front of him late on he had some good fortune to cut the gap on the teenager to 53 points after the Italian abandoned. "Good to be back on the podium and have a clean race, but Ferrari were mighty today so we need to keep pushing," said Russell. "The last stints were difficult, but it's good to be back here. The pace today was insane from Lewis, they are coming I think." With track temperatures up at 51 degrees Celsius, Hamilton opted for a three pit-stop strategy and it worked to perfection, with the third of those fortuitously coming while the virtual safety car was deployed. Ferrari's heavily upgraded car may well have been fast enough for Hamilton to triumph anyway, as he recorded the 106th victory of his career. Red Bull's Max Verstappen came in fourth, ahead of McLaren's Oscar Piastri and Isack Hadjar in the other Red Bull. Russell got off to the perfect start from pole, holding off Hamilton on softs, with the Ferrari driver cutting off Antonelli. Hadjar, who started in position six, was slow off the line and overtaken by eight cars. Charles Leclerc, in the second Ferrari, admitted he was "ashamed" by his crash in qualifying which left him starting in 10th but expertly weaved his way up to sixth, although he was later forced to retire. Early stop Hamilton took an early pit stop on lap 12 to swap his softs for hards, with Mercedes responding on the following lap with hards for Russell. Russell was worried his stop "exposed" him to Antonelli but retook the lead from Hamilton with his teenage team-mate back in third after his own stop to bolt on the hards.With Hamilton 2.3 seconds behind Russell he said "we are on Plan C" over team radio. The seven-time champion pitted for the second time in the 28th lap, indicating a three-stop strategy, with Mercedes deciding not to follow suit because of the threat of 2025 champion Lando Norris, who was on a two-stop plan. Antonelli moved right behind Russell, who was forced to fend off his team-mate. Russell was called in for fresh hards before Antonelli followed suit, allowing Hamilton into the lead, with Ferrari telling the Briton this was the "critical time" for his race. Home favourite Alonso, in what he said was probably his final appearance in Barcelona, was forced to retire because of a suspected battery issue. It brought out a yellow flag with the virtual safety car deployed, offering Hamilton an ideal chance for a cheap stop. That worked brilliantly for Hamilton who emerged from his third stop with fresh rubber 2.6s ahead of Russell with 24 laps remaining. With clean air Hamilton was able to stretch his lead comfortably to triumph in style. The victory was sweetened further by late drama as Antonelli retired from second place in the 62nd lap to blow open the championship. 

Teenager Kimi Antonelli extended his lead in the drivers' world championship with a commanding and nerveless victory for Mercedes ahead of Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton in a protracted, incident-hit Monaco Grand Prix Sunday.It was the 19-year-old Italian's record fifth consecutive victory this season, making him the first Italian to achieve that feat since Alberto Ascari in 1952. It hoisted him 66 points clear of Hamilton in the title race."The car was a peach today," he said after becoming the youngest winner of Formula One's classic blue riband event."An incredible day - one of those when we had incredible pace to give me confidence to push."In a stoppage-strewn race punctuated by crashes, retirements and a series of penalties, Antonelli came home 6.271 seconds clear of seven-time champion Hamilton with Red Bull's Isack Hadjar third ahead of Oscar Piastri of McLaren.Racing Bulls' Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad finished a career-best fifth and sixth respectively, while Sergio Perez in 10th scored the new Cadillac team's first point.Hamilton equalled Ayrton Senna's record total of eight Monaco podiums.Four-time champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull suffered an engine failure at the start and retired, as did world champion Lando Norris when his McLaren had battery problems.Antonelli made a perfect getaway. Behind him, Verstappen had a power failure as he attempted to start."What can I do?" asked Verstappen. "Just bring it home," came the Red Bull reply. His problem was diagnosed as engine failure. It was his eighth first-lap retirement.For Antonelli, the youngest-ever pole sitter in Monaco, his dream start enabled a run in clear air to establish a lead of 5.4 seconds by lap 10.Norris had a lap one setback when, after squabbling with Piastri for sixth, he was passed by Pierre Gasly on the outside of St Devote.In the first round of pit stops, Hamilton was one of several drivers given a five-second penalty for speeding in the pit-lane.After revelling in his supremacy, Antonelli came in a second time after 37 laps, easily retaining his lead before Norris's problems ended with a call to retire on lap 46.The young Italian was racing with such ease that race engineer Peter Bonington told him: "Kimi, fastest lap! No, we don't need them."'No rear brakes'On lap 60, Lance Stroll smacked the barriers at Antony Noghes to prompt a safety car.The race re-started on lap 66 and, as Antonelli pulled clear with Hamilton in pursuit, the luckless Leclerc crashed at the same spot."I'm not taking the blame for that," he said. "It's like I had no rear brakes at all."That lifted Hadjar into third place before a second red flag suspended the action, with the field called back to wait in the pit lane as the track was repaired and Russell was given a drive-through penalty for failing to serve an earlier time penalty correctly.After a 40-minute hiatus, the action resumed from a standing start.Antonelli held his nerve to lead again with Hamilton second ahead of Russell, who promptly pitted for his penalty and fell to 14th. 

World championship leading teenager Kimi Antonelli continued his remarkable run of successes on Saturday by claiming pole position for Mercedes ahead of four-time champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull for Sunday's Monaco Grand Prix.The 19-year-old Italian clocked one minute and 12.051 seconds to beat the Dutchman by 0.043 seconds in the final minute of a thrilling qualifying session that left both Ferraris on the second row of the grid.After four wins, Antonelli will be seeking to become the first Italian to win five consecutive races since Alberto Ascari achieved the feat for Ferrari in 1952 after extending Mercedes' run to six successive poles this year.Antonelli said he had produced "a magic lap"."It was so close with Max!" he said after securing his fourth pole of the season.Seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton was third ahead of Charles Leclerc, Isack Hadjar in the second Red Bull and Mercedes' George Russell, who is 43 points behind Antonelli in the drivers' title race.McLaren's Oscar Piastri outpaced team-mate and world champion Lando Norris to qualifying seventh.Antonelli's pole was the first by a Mercedes driver since Hamilton in 2019 and he became the first Italian to take pole in Monaco since Jarno Trulli in 2004.The session began in warm sunshine with a long queue weaving out of the pits to warm their tyres in preparation for a flying lap, albeit in heavy traffic.An early radio call from Hamilton to complain Leclerc was "backing into me" reflected the tension in the cockpits before Hadjar vented to his frustrations.Leclerc topped the early runs ahead of Norris and Hamilton while Russell toiled for a clean lap before Gabriel Bortoleto clipped a barrier at the chicane and came to a halt, causing a six-minute red flag stoppage.This left most drivers chasing a lap in the final seconds of Q1 while the main contenders stayed in the pits.Leclerc led the way into Q2 ahead of Verstappen and Antonelli while a lap from Sainz, in the added time, saw him claim 10th and avoid an early exit. Alonso outburst  Out instead went the two Cadillacs, both Haas drivers and both Aston Martins, with two-time champion Fernando Alonso, 21st, making clear his distaste for the new 'hybrid era' cars."The worst generation of cars I have driven in Monaco,"he said."Hybrid cars should not be racing. Simple as that."After 21 previous appearances, including two wins and two poles, Alonso, at 44, is the most experienced Monaco driver on the grid.Verstappen led out for Q2, narrowly avoiding a pit-lane clash with Sainz before the precocious Antonelli set the pace in 1:12.778 ahead of Verstappen until Leclerc moved within 0.070 seconds of him.It was tight and changeable at the top as Red Bull burst into the frame, Verstappen going fastest in 1:12.499 to beat Antonelli by 0.205 with Hadjar third 0.223 adrift ahead of the Ferraris and McLarens.This time, both Williams and both Audis were eliminated along with Alpine's Franco Colapinto Racing Bulls' rookie Arvid Lindblad.Liam Lawson of Racing Bulls and Alpine's Pierre Gasly made the top ten shootout.The final ten had another chance to compose a perfect pole lap.Leclerc bailed out of his first flying run, but hit the sweet spot on his second to clock 1:12.351 and snatch provisional pole.In a sensational sequence, the celebrating Monegasque crowd were silenced as Verstappen clocked 1:12.094 before, Antonelli blew that away as the tension erupted in Italian euphoria around the Monte Carlo harbour. 

Charles Leclerc has agreed a multi-year extension with his “second family” Ferrari days out from his home Monaco Grand Prix, the Formula One team announced on Wednesday. The 28-year-old has been with Ferrari since 2019, winning eight Grand Prix - his last victory was in 2024 - with his highest finish in the world championship being runner-up to Max Verstappen in 2022. “Scuderia Ferrari HP announces the renewal of its agreement with Charles Leclerc, who will continue to wear the team’s colours for the coming seasons of the Formula 1 World Championship,” read a Ferrari statement on their website. Leclerc, who sits in third position in this year's title race, just three points ahead of team-mate Lewis Hamilton, said that he was ecstatic to continue his dream drive with Ferrari. “It’s the team I've loved and dreamt of being part of since I was a child, and after all these years it has become a second family,” he said. “Together we’ve shared incredible moments and some tougher ones, but I believe in this team more than ever, and I’m deeply grateful that we will keep pushing side by side toward our shared goal of bringing the World Championship back to Maranello. “Being a Ferrari driver is a dream, but it's also a responsibility I never take for granted.” Ferrari lauded their “second-most capped Formula 1 driver and (who) also ranks second for pole positions, behind only Michael Schumacher.” “This renewal feels like something very natural for us,” said team principal Fred Vasseur. “Over these seasons we have seen him grow, to become not only one of the strongest drivers in Formula 1, but also a person who is completely at one with the team and everything Ferrari represents. “We appreciate his talent, we love his determination and the way he approaches every day with the people in the Scuderia, both on and off the track.”    

Marco Bezzecchi beat teammate Jorge Martin to win the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday as manufacturers ‌Aprilia ruined rivals Ducati's centenary celebrations on home turf in Mugello after Francesco ​Bagnaia briefly led the MotoGP race. Ducati's ‌Bagnaia, a three-time winner in Mugello from 2022 to 2024, led the ‌race until there were ⁠10 laps left when ‌Bezzecchi made his move before Spaniard Martin ‌also moved past the Italian to drop him down to third. There was no stopping Bezzecchi ⁠after he moved into the lead as the Italian rider fulfilled a childhood dream by taking the chequered flag over three seconds ahead of Martin for his first win at the famous circuit."It was a dream I wanted to achieve since I was a kid," Bezzecchi said after the Aprilia team threw him into the air during wild celebrations in the paddock. "Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Today we went there, we had ​fun. Thank you all guys, you are fantastic," he added in a message to the fans who streamed on to the circuit. Bezzecchi now leads Martin by 17 points in the championship after seven rounds. Meanwhile, Bagnaia's ‌late heroics denied Aprilia a podium ⁠lockout when Trackhouse ​rider Ai Ogura briefly took third on the final lap before the Italian ​took the place back just before the finish line. APRILIA'S BATTLE FOR LEAD WITH BAGNAIA As the red lights went out, it was the two factory Aprilia riders that battled for the lead while the two Ducatis slotted in behind them after sprint winner Raul Fernandez went very wide on turn one and fell from second to 17th. It was pole sitter Bezzecchi who led the pack of riders while Bagnaia moved up four places to slot in behind his Italian compatriot on home turf, with Martin and Marc Marquez chasing them down in third and fourth, respectively. Bezzecchi could not hold on to the ‌lead for long, however, as Bagnaia ‌used the Aprilia's slipstream to surge ⁠ahead on the start-finish straight. Marquez, making his return from double surgery on his foot and ⁠shoulder, was involved in a tense battle ⁠for fourth with KTM's Pedro Acosta as the two Spaniards constantly swapped positions. Up front, Bezzecchi stayed on Bagnaia's rear wheel and he finally made his move with 10 laps left, using the slipstream again to take the lead. That was all the Aprilia rider needed as he peeled away and built a commanding lead while Bagnaia turned his attention to Martin closing in behind him. The inevitable ​overtake came on lap 16 when Martin pounced to move up to second, with Bagnaia aware the Aprilia was faster as he was overtaken on the inside of turn one. "It was really tough because in the last laps I was struggling a lot with the rear grip," Bagnaia said. "I saw that the Aprilias were doing a fantastic job. I just tried to leave no space for Ai. But thanks to everyone, thanks to my team that did a fantastic job. We really deserve this kind of results." Ogura finished less than a tenth of a ‌second behind Bagnaia while ​VR46 Racing's Fabio Di Giannantonio rounded out the top five. Acosta finished sixth ahead of Marquez in seventh.
