Qatar News Agency (QNA) launched Sunday a specialised training course on concepts of government protocol and etiquette, receiving VIPs, agreement signing ceremonies, and the priority system, as part of the training programmes organised by the QNA Training Center, with the aim of developing the professional capabilities of staff and raising their efficiency in the field of institutional and diplomatic work.Presented by Dr Saadon bin Hussein al-Hamdani, the training course will be held at QNA training halls at QNA's headquarters for five days, with the participation of some employees from the agency's diverse departments and sections.The course aims to enable participants to understand the concepts of government protocol and etiquette, enhance their skills in official dealings and receiving VIPs, and to organise official ceremonies and events according to locally and internationally approved professional standards.The course will address several key topics, most notably: the art of diplomacy and the concepts of protocol and etiquette, theories and schools of governmental and social etiquette, international and local protocol, manners of dealing with others, organising international and local conferences and events, as well as the etiquette of handshakes, greetings and managing conversations.The course will also address the protocol for receiving VIPs and guests, the ceremonies for signing agreements, the etiquette at dining tables and exchanging gifts, in addition to the duties and powers of public relations staff, and public relations strategies and agendas and their impact on the reputation of the entity.At the end of the course, practical field applications will be implemented, allowing participants the opportunity to apply the skills they acquired during the training. This will be followed by an evaluation of their performance through a presentation of the participants' projects, along with the distribution of certificates, in recognition of their efforts and participation.The course is part of QNA training halls' plan, which was created to be an advanced platform for qualifying personnel in an interactive educational environment supported by the latest technical equipment, in order to enhance professional efficiency in various fields of institutional work.

Former world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua knocked out YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul in their controversial Netflix-backed bout in Miami on Friday.The fight at the Kaseya Center, which saw both men reportedly splitting a mammoth purse of $184mn, had triggered alarm across boxing due to the gulf in physical size and class between Britain's two-time former world champion Joshua and Paul, an internet personality who has forged a lucrative career through a handful of novelty boxing contests.In the event, however, Joshua made hard work of defeating his vastly less accomplished opponent, before his superior size and power eventually told in the later stages of the eight-round fight, with a sixth-round knockout. A lacklustre contest descended into farce at times, with Paul repeatedly dropping to the canvas and grappling at Joshua's legs.At one stage even referee Christopher Young appeared to be losing patience, warning the fighters in the fourth round: "The fans did not pay to see this crap." As Paul tired, the 6ft 6in (1.98m) tall Joshua began to land punches with more regularity, and after knocking down the 6ft 1in American twice in the fifth round, the end came swiftly in the sixth.Joshua backed the 28-year-old into a corner and, after teeing up Paul with a crunching left, delivered the knockout blow with a right to the chin that sent his opponent crashing to the canvas. "It wasn't the best performance," Joshua, 36, admitted afterwards. "But the end goal was to get Jake Paul, pin him down and hurt him. That was the request leading up, and that was on my mind. It took a bit longer than expected but the right hand finally found its destination."Joshua meanwhile praised Paul for lasting into the later rounds. "I want to give him his props – he got up time and time again," Joshua said. "It was difficult in there for him, but he kept on trying to find a way. It takes a real man to do that."Paul, meanwhile, his mouth bloodied from Joshua's final assault, said he believed his jaw had been broken – but was satisfied with his performance. "That was fun. I gave it my all," Paul said. "I had a blast. I think my jaw is broken by the way. But Anthony's one of the best to ever do it so. I'm gonna come back and get a world championship. I just got tired to be honest – like it was so much handling his weight. I think with better cardio I could have kept it up and kept on fighting. But he hits really hard."The American later confirmed in a post on social media, accompanied by an image of a radiograph, that he had suffered a "double broken jaw".Friday's made-for-streaming contest, which came just over a year after Paul had fought a 58-year-old Mike Tyson in a much-derided Netflix fight, had been widely panned throughout boxing, with many warning that Paul risked serious injury.Yet the devastating first or second round knockout by Joshua that most had predicted failed to materialise as Paul scrambled desperately to stay outside of the 2012 Olympic champion Joshua's range. Joshua, fighting for the first time in 15 months, always looked the more threatening fighter, landing 48 of 146 punches thrown compared to Paul's meagre total of 16 punches landed.The Briton is now turning his attention towards a money-spinning bout against compatriot and fellow former world champion Tyson Fury next year. "We shook off the cobwebs and I can't wait to roll into 2026," Joshua said. "And if Tyson Fury is as serious as he thinks he is, let's put on some gloves and fight." 

His Excellency the Minister of Interior, Commander of the Internal Security Force Lekhwiya, and Chairman of the Security Committee Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani met Thursday with Secretary of Homeland Security of the United States of America Kristi Noem at the National Command Center (NCC).HE the Minister toured the NCC with the secretary of Homeland Security of the United States of America. During the visit, she was briefed on the NCC's command and control systems, advanced monitoring and analytical technologies, and its role in supporting decision-making and managing events and crises.The tour also included the Tournament Command Center (TCC), where she reviewed the operational systems used to monitor and secure major sporting events. These systems contribute to enhanced response efficiency and a high level of operational readiness in line with international best practices in security operations management. 

His Excellency the Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, has held talks with Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Morocco, Abdelouafi Laftit, in Doha. During the meeting at the National Command Center (NCC), the two sides discussed a range of issues of mutual interest and reviewed existing co-operation between Qatar and Morocco in the field of security. They also explored ways to strengthen and further develop this co-operation, with the aim of enhancing joint action. Following the talks, Minister Laftit toured the NCC, where he was briefed on its core functions and its command-and-control systems. He was shown the advanced technologies used for monitoring, analysis, decision-making support, and the management of events and crises. The visiting minister also learned about the role of the Tournament Command Centre (TCC) in overseeing and securing major sporting events. and how it contributes to effective response and heightened operational readiness.  

Her Excellency Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid AlKhater opened Sunday the Bunyan Student Center, which is concerned with the care, empowerment and integrated development of young people based on spiritual, intellectual, physical, social and creative aspects.The opening ceremony, held at the Granada Preparatory School for Girls, was attended by a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE), along with students, teachers, preachers, media professionals and social media influencers.Following the opening, Her Excellency toured the center, where she was briefed on the educational, training, and sports activities it offers. She listened to a detailed explanation of its various programs, praising the students' performance and their enthusiasm and desire to learn, and appreciating their interest in the center and the message of its programs.According to its vision, the Bunyan Student Center aims to build a balanced and conscious generation that thrives on its values ​​and skills and contributes to the advancement of its society, while its mission is to develop a generation that is integrated spiritually, intellectually, culturally and healthily, equipped with life skills, and belonging to a supportive society based on values.The center works in several fields, including the educational field to instill values ​​and build morals, the academic field to develop knowledge and skills, the sports field to promote health and activity, the cultural field to build an authentic Islamic and Arab identity, in addition to the field of life skills in an applied manner, in preparation for life and the future.In her keynote address during the opening ceremony, Consultant at the Office of HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Sozan Zaghmout emphasised that the idea for the center came after careful consideration of the reality of boys and girls in a world full of challenges, foremost among them the excessive use of technology. She indicated that excessive use of technology, despite its benefits, may weaken the connection to real life, especially building direct social relationships, and affect knowledge acquired through practice and experience.She added that the Bunyan Center represents a supportive system that accompanies young people through their various stages with integrated programmes that develop them spiritually, intellectually, culturally and healthily, provide them with life skills, and strengthen their belonging to values, so that they find a safe environment and good company that helps them to grow and contribute to the advancement of their society.She also addressed the center's work mechanism and programmes, noting the launch of its first programme entitled: "I am seven and I will pray," stressing the importance of prayer as the pillar of religion and the starting point in building a person, by instilling the love of prayer in the hearts of children and strengthening their connection with Allah.In its first day, the Bunyan Center recorded the participation of more than 500 male and female students, who were introduced to the "I am seven and I will pray" programme during two periods, morning and evening, in both Arabic and English.The programme targets girls and boys aged 7 to 8 years, where students went through seven educational and recreational stations, including: "Prayer is a gift," "purity is light," "Al Fatiha is a key," "prayer is a connection," "come to success," "the strong believer," and "my prayer mat."The activities included reciting verses from the Qur'an, explaining how to perform ablution and prayer, introducing students to the call to prayer and the meanings of its words, reciting the supplications after prayer, in addition to performing the prayer in congregation, providing each student with a prayer mat decorated with a picture of the Kaaba and with his name written on it, as well as interactive sports activities.The opening ceremony programme also included student dialogues, and the presentation of an introductory film explaining the center's vision, mission, goals and areas of work, and concluded with the students performing the prayer together in application of what they had learned.

His Excellency Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani visited the National Command Center (NCC) Tuesday, accompanied by Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of the friendly United States of America, Kashyap Patel.The FBI director was briefed on the command and control systems and advanced technologies used in monitoring, analysis, and decision support, in addition to the center's role in managing events and crises.**media[391786]**The visit also included the Tournament Command Center (TCC) to learn about the operational capabilities and technologies adopted in managing and securing sporting events, thus enhancing preparedness for responding to major events.  

As part of efforts to enhance the readiness of startups to keep pace with digital transformation and foster a culture of innovation in Qatar, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), through its Digital Incubation Center (DIC) and in partnership with Scale AI, launched the "AI for Startups - Training Workshop Series".The programme kicked off last week with the first session as part of a comprehensive training track comprising six applied workshops aimed at helping startups develop practical solutions powered by artificial intelligence (AI).The workshops aim to equip entrepreneurs with advanced hands-on skills through sessions covering AI prototyping, creative coding, the development of intelligent AI agents, responsible AI, trust, and cybersecurity. The programme also featured a final demo session, in which participating startups presented their prototypes and received direct expert feedback.On this occasion, Eman al-Kuwari, Director of Digital Innovation at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, stated: "This training series comes as part of the ministry's ongoing partnership with Scale AI and provides a practical foundation that helps startups integrate AI technologies into their business models from the early stages. Through hands-on tools and applications, startups are able to explore modern technologies, test them, and transform them into viable prototypes. This initiative also contributes to bringing advanced expertise into Qatar's digital innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem, enabling startups to build high-value, data-driven products and strengthening the overall readiness and scalability of the startup landscape." 

Protection and Social Rehabilitation Center (AMAN), member of Qatar Foundation for Social Work, concluded a series of awareness workshops held at Quran memorization centers for women and girls, in cooperation with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs.In this context, Acting Executive Director of Aman Center, Fadl Al Kaabi emphasized that the main objective of these workshops, in cooperation with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, represented by the Quran memorization centers, is to enhance women's sense of security and highlight their role in the stability of the family and society. The workshops also aimed to equip participants with new skills and mechanisms for dealing with challenges and problems they may face, and to familiarize them with the center's role and the key services it provides to protect them.Al Kaabi noted that the awareness workshops targeted women and girls, focusing on raising awareness and educating the community about social protection issues, thus contributing to building strong and cohesive families. He explained that the number of beneficiaries of these workshops exceeded 900.He pointed out that these efforts come in fulfillment of the vision and mission of Aman Center to provide social protection, strengthen family cohesion, and reduce violence in all its forms.For her part, Director of the Community Awareness Department at Aman Center, Bakhita Al Ghayathin explained that the implementation of the "Aman" awareness workshops aimed to highlight several topics related to social protection, family safety, and protection from cyber extortion, in addition to raising awareness about bullying and its psychological effects.In contrast, Director of the Communication and Media Office at Aman Center, Hanan Al Ali emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation with the largest possible number of partners in the country to serve the targeted groups of women, children, and victims of family breakdown and violence, stressing that awareness represents the first line of defense in achieving safety.Al Ali added that activating community partnership with the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs contributes to raising community awareness and strengthening family cohesion, thus creating a safe and stable environment.
