Metallica to perform at this year’s Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix  

As excitement builds ahead of the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025, Lusail International Circuit (LIC) has announce that globally acclaimed rock band Metallica will light up the Lusail Live stage on Sunday, November 30. Metallica’s headline show promises to deliver an unforgettable night for fans, combining world-class entertainment off-track with world-class racing on track. Formed in 1981 by vocalist/guitarist James Hetfield and drummer Lars Ulrich and including guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo, Metallica has become one of the most influential and successful rock bands in history, selling nearly 125mn albums worldwide and generating more than 17bn streams while playing to millions of fans on all seven continents — more than 1.3mn of whom belong to the band’s fiercely loyal and consistently growing Fifth Member fan club. Metallica’s catalog of multi-platinum studio albums includes Kill ’Em All, Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, ...And Justice for All, Metallica (commonly referred to as The Black Album), Load, ReLoad, St. Anger, Death Magnetic, Hardwired...To Self-Destruct, and most recently, the Grammy-winning 72 Seasons, released April 14, 2023, on the band’s own Blackened Recordings label. In build up to the electrifying concert, Sunday at the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix will showcase the FIA Formula 2 feature race, followed by the highlight of the weekend, the Grand Prix. Additionally, fans attending the Qatar Grand Prix, can catch Metallica live on Sunday night with a single-day Sunday General Admission ticket priced at QR500. Three-Day Grandstand tickets are also available in the North Grandstand (QR1,500), Turn 2 Grandstand (QR1,000), Turn 3 Grandstand (QR1,000; student price QR800), and the Turn 16 Grandstand (QR1,000; senior citizen price QR750). From the track to your campus: Qatar GP educational tour inspires students 

Ahead of the Formula 1 Qatar Grand Prix 2025, Lusail International Circuit (LIC) has launched the Qatar GP Educational Tour, a program that aims to empower youth by highlighting how LIC contributes to the development of motorsport in Qatar, while also creating pathways for youth to engage with its community and benefit from the activities it offers.The initiative is designed to connect students with the excitement and innovation of motorsport. Through it, students will gain a deeper understanding of the significance of LIC and its role beyond hosting world-class events. It aims not only to foster a passion for motorsport but also aligns with the broader objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.Kicked off on 25 September at Multaqa, Qatar Foundation, the tour is visiting universities and schools in Qatar until November 15 under the tagline “From the Track to Your Campus.” Through interactive experiences including VR pit stop challenges, STEM-based activities, quizzes, and photo opportunities, the programme gives students a hands-on introduction to the world of Formula 1.The initiative is rooted in education, designed to showcase the learning value of motorsport by connecting themes of technology, innovation, and real-world application directly to students. Through the Qatar GP Educational Tour, students will immerse themselves in a 1:1 virtual reality simulation of LIC, featuring the newly unveiled 2025 Qatar Grand Prix Show Car livery and the experience of being on one of the two tracks in the world that hosts all three premiere motorsporting events, including the Formula 1, MotoGP, and the Qatar 1812 km World Endurance Championship.Alongside this experience, they will take part in interactive activities—including quizzes and STEM-based challenges,enhancing knowledge not only about LIC itself but on how the teams in Formula 1 structured and the technicalities behind its races.The Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025 takes place from November 28–30 at LIC. The show car’s livery embodies Qatar’s identity and the spirit of modern motorsport. Its sweeping speed lines capture the thrill of Formula 1 Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025, while architectural elements inspired from Lusail International Circuit and a re-imagined falcon pattern symbolising agility, speed and competitive spirit bring a distinctive local character to the design. Lusail International Circuit (LIC) has revealed the official key visual for the Formula 1® Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2025, capturing the energy, speed, and spirit of the event set for November 28–30.The artwork showcases the Qatar Formula 1 car in its bold and unique national colors, a bold reflection of Qatar’s presence on the global motorsport stage. Speeding through LIC’s iconic building, the car blazes a trail of light and color, symbolizing the sheer speed and adrenaline of Formula 1®.Local cultural elements are also woven into the artwork, with Saadu-inspired curb designs stretched along the track and a dramatic Doha skyline backdrop, blending tradition with modernity.Front and center is the tagline “Where Hearts Are Racing”—a campaign platform carried forward from 2024.
