Several firefighters and a worker were injured on Saturday while battling two fires that broke out at separate locations in Kuwait following Iranian attacks.In a post on its official X account, the Kuwait Fire Force said five firefighting teams, assisted by firefighting units from the oil sector, were working to contain the fire at the first site, while three other teams were responding to the second site. The fire at the first site resulted in several injuries, it said.The fires followed a series of Iranian missile and drone attacks on Kuwait, including strikes on two power generation and water desalination plants. 

Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said on Saturday that another power generation and water desalination plant caught fire after coming under an Iranian attack.In a statement, the ministry said it had taken precautionary operational measures to ensure the safety of the facility and its personnel while maintaining the stability of the country's electricity grid.It said emergency teams, in coordination with the Kuwait Fire Force and other relevant authorities, had responded to the blaze, adding that all operational and emergency plans had been activated immediately after the incident.On Friday, authorities brought under control a fire that broke out at another power generation and water desalination plant after an Iranian attack damaged a large number of electricity generation units.Kuwait has repelled a series of Iranian missile and drone attacks since Thursday, according to the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces. 

Kuwait's General Staff of the Armed Forces said on Saturday its air defense systems were responding to hostile Iranian missile and drone attacks.The General Staff said in a statement that any explosions heard across parts of the country were the result of its air defense systems intercepting hostile missiles and drones, urging the public to follow safety instructions issued by the relevant authorities.Earlier on Saturday, the General Staff said Kuwait's air defenses had intercepted Iranian drone attacks.

The State of Kuwait strongly condemned Thursday the continued Iranian attacks against its territory, describing them as a flagrant violation of its sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, as well as a serious breach of international law, the UN Charter and UN Security Council Resolution 2817 of 2026.In a statement, the Foreign Ministry said Kuwait holds Iran fully responsible for the continued attacks and their consequences, stressing that Tehran's continued aggression against Kuwait and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states further escalates tensions and undermines regional security and stability.The Ministry called on Iran to immediately cease its attacks, reaffirming that Kuwait will continue to take all necessary measures to protect its territory, citizens, residents and national interests, while reserving all its legitimate rights under international law.

Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah arrived in Doha on Monday to offer condolences on the passing of HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani.His Highness and the accompanying delegation were welcomed upon arrival at Hamad International Airport by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani, HE Minister of Transport Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Thani and HE Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the State of Qatar Ahmad bin Abdulrahman Al Shuraim. 

The General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army announced on Monday that Kuwait's air defense systems were engaging hostile aerial targets within Kuwaiti airspace.The blasts heard are the result of mid-air interception operations, said the General Staff in a statement, advising the public to abide by the safety instructions outlined by the relevant authorities.

Egypt on Sunday condemned in the strongest terms the criminal Iranian attacks targeting the State of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Bahrain, considering them a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of those countries and a dangerous escalation that threatens the security and stability of the Gulf region and undermines efforts aimed at de-escalation and strengthening regional security.In a statement, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Egypt's complete rejection of all Iranian attacks targeting the security and sovereignty of Arab states or threatening the security and stability of the region, renewing its full solidarity with the sisterly Gulf states and its support for them in the face of anything that undermines their security and territorial integrity.The ministry also stressed that no pretexts or justifications for these rejected and condemned attacks can be accepted, calling for an immediate halt to all escalatory actions and adherence to the rules of international law in a manner that preserves the region's security and spares its peoples further tension and instability.

The State of Qatar strongly condemned the repeated Iranian attacks on the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Kuwait, considering them a blatant violation of the sovereignty of these countries and a flagrant breach of international law.In a statement on Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need to spare the region the repercussions of these unjustified attacks, to continue the path of dialogue and diplomacy, to de-escalate tensions, and to build upon the gains achieved within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding, thereby contributing to the consolidation of security and stability at the regional and international levels.The ministry reiterated the State of Qatar's full solidarity with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Bahrain, and the State of Kuwait, and its support for all measures they take to preserve their sovereignty and security. 

Egypt strongly condemned the renewed Iranian attacks targeting Kuwait and Bahrain, describing them as a dangerous escalation and an unacceptable violation of the two countries' sovereignty that threatens security and stability in the Gulf region and heightens regional tensions.In a statement issued Thursday, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Cairo stands in full solidarity with Kuwait and Bahrain and supports all measures taken by the two countries to safeguard their security and sovereignty.The ministry also stressed that the security of the Gulf states is an integral part of Egyptian and Arab national security, reiterating Egypt's rejection of any actions that threaten the security of Arab countries or undermine regional stability. 

Iran's Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) said on Wednesday they had hit dozens of US military facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait in response to American strikes, in a statement carried by state broadcaster IRIB. "In an initial response to this aggression, the IRGC Navy and Aerospace Force carried out a joint missile and drone operation, striking 85 key US military facilities" in the two countries, while also shooting down an MQ-9 drone, the statement said.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) strongly condemned the Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait using ballistic missiles and drones.In a statement issued on Sunday, GCC Secretary-General Jasem Mohamed AlBudaiwi said that these treacherous attacks constitute a direct threat to the security, stability, and safety of citizens and residents in Bahrain and Kuwait, and a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter. He noted that these attacks undermine international and regional efforts aimed at establishing security and peace and resolving the crisis.The GCC affirmed its support for all measures taken by the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait to strengthen their security, safeguard their sovereignty, and preserve the integrity of their territories.
